I learned very quickly that just because I’m a welder it doesn’t mean I can repair a radiator lol my brother in law dinged the rad on a 1939 John Deere B when we were trying to bring it back to life after 25 years of sitting (lots of mouse poo between the rad and the shutters we were cleaning out). The core alone is 300 bucks and the tanks and main supports are big castings that bolt together and encase it, so there’s gaskets at both ends and they can leak easily if you’re not careful. Overall they’re a pain to replace (heavy, hard to get to, lots of stuff to get out of the way to pull it, blah blah blah). So me being a welder who frequently tig welds pipe that gets Xrayed thought “I’ll solder that hole shut, no problem, I got this” so I grabbed the ol benzomatic and went to work. I didn’t have it, I wasn’t even close to having it, I blew a hole through what was left of those poor tubes before I had a chance to get the solder on it. Thanks for the entertainment! You’re a class A nut! White wheels black tires. Dog dish. Keep duff happy. A few more windows. Build a fire in there. And cruise control!! Works for me! See ya mort!!
Thanks Robert! I'll get right on that!
cool, I have a 75 2wd long bed that I stripped for my 73 2wd. I could do the same to a 73 or 74 k5 like you did to get the full roof removal. thanks for the idea
I like the white wheels with the dog dish hubcaps on the black walls
I used a product called alumaseal in my 59 when I found a leak. Been using it for years. Just aluminum shavings that melt into the cracks. Never had an issue with heater core blocking. Good job once again.
Worth a shot! Money back guarantee?!?
@@MortskeRepair not sure about a money back guarantee, but it has worked for me in the past.
@@soberingrestorationservices Wow, im 61, and you just sent me back to 17! I had a radiator in my 64 OLDSMOBILE F85 cutlass, that developed a leak. I put alumaseal in it, it totally stopped the leak!! Lol.
Right dude, I think I got an old tube of Alumaseal in my toolbox but also discovered these pellets that worked on my RAM at least 6 years ago! Was't leaking from the radiator but between a seal against the block or timing cover area
You Just got “The Weekender” runnin !! Holy Shit !! Frickin Amazing
Happy New Year , you are Big Man and excelent Mecanic.
Beautifull Dog .
The best for 2022
Thanks much!
Lol that motor didn't want to give up 👍
OLD BLUE, the truck reminds me of that old blood hound. It don't look like it could get out of it's own way. but when needed listen to howl
I heard the P in PBR stands for Puddin’ . White wheels and white walls, but I might be biased!
Puddins Bondo Ranch!
I patched a rad on a 73 Yorker 2 door with JB weld in 1998. Outlasted the car. Rads in my camper now. Still holding last time I checked.
Esta increible como alguien puede ver vida donde otros ya no,buen video hermano
Hey thanks a bunch for watching!
Hey brother, I'm a new viewer/subscriber. I'm really enjoying the channel and have been binge watching when I get time over the last few weeks. Just bought some merch. Man, if Duff only had thumbs! Keep up the great work and great content. Cheers!
Much appreciated!
This dude a vehicles genius. He knows how to do everything you can do to a car or truck. Hoooowwwww????
Much appreciated for the kind words! Lots of practice by screwing things up!
Tune it up make it run well and put a
Dash in if you can and it will be. Good truck
I've actually got a dash for it but figured the video was already long enough.
Great content as usual, all the best for the channel
Much appreciated Robert!
Thank god we have good water here in the Thumb of Michigan.
i had a 77 factory 2wd blazer when in mid 90ś, i had a white top w/vented windows and a black top w tinted sides. i would get rowdy in town then run home change tops. the local 5-0 were not impressed when they caught on. i didn't catch why you converted it, just because you could i reckon. just found you today & love the channel
Bar's Leak for Radiator's been using it for over 40+ years.....👍🏽👌🏼
Love the show bud. i would have kept it a four wheel drive. I love the full removable top blazers. I had a 76 blazer that was a blast always wish i had the full top version though. My poor blazer had a front tire blow and rolled down the highway with me amd some friends in it. We are ok but the blazer didn't make it. Her drivetrain lives on in a 74 3/4 ton ive got now.
For a Mortske decal, Old Blue Ribbon. Love what you do, saving the old dead vehicles for Greta
Bahaha Greta will probably give me a Blue Ribbon for my efforts!
Duff approved. What takes mortske a few weeks takes everyone else months. Except it needs.... everything else but it runs. Best kind of video.
It's ready for a road trip!
I shoulda used your suggestion, for getting my Fuel gauge repair from Mortski. Wow. Just freakin' amazing, my '87 Chevette coulda been full fuel gauge repaired until I sold that puppy off in 2004-2005. Oh well.
That engine purrs pretty good before any "super tuning" put on it!
Black steel with black walls and dog dish. Looks the best..
Cracked an egg in the radiator if my '46 Plymouth 10 years ago... Still holding strong!!
AWesome!
Welp, this is my favorite truck. Any year of the square body will do but 4x4 only for me. Nice work tho!
i would personally never convert a 4wd to a 2wd unless it was for racing but then again in my climate you wont get anywhere without 4wd so great video and nice find
Already have a 4WD and the axles were gone. It'll be worth it!
@@MortskeRepair i see but what are you doing with the og 350 that came with you gonna fire it up for us fix it or what
That’s a Nice K5 Tom. I Like It !!
Thanks Kurt!
