Thanks for sharing. We're in Bucerias from December through March. I'm going to hike the Las Animas Beach trail. The bus is quite inexpensive to get around. There are some very good restaurants in Bucerias serving tasty meals. Cheers!
Hola! Was in Bucerías in June completing my residence at the INM Nayarit office, it's located across from the Hard Rock Cafe Hotel. Got my card the same day!🥳 Plan on renting somewhere in the town for the first 6 months. Emptying my house and selling, hope to be back in Mexico by the first of October. Viva la Mexico!🇲🇽
@@keithhannah8695 My lawyer will be booking an appt at the Puerto Vallarta office...all the paperwork is in her hands...Airbnb is booked...only 2 weeks away!!
Hi Alex! I live in Vallarta and I love the Boca - Las Animas hike as well. My friends and I are in fairly good shape and we found it fairly challenging, and in the high heat and humidity, I would say it's strenuous in spots. But the beach swimming along the way is great! Thanks for a fun video-- I have yet to visit Bucerias and now I have some restaurant recommendations when I do. Muchas gracias! 💝
Loved our trip to Bucerias this year. Had heard great things about La Negra but it was probably the most disappointing meal of the trip. Either an off night or we ordered the wrong things! There are some great restaurants in the town and its going to be interesting to see how the place looks in a few years.
Oh no, I am so sorry to hear you had a bad experience there! We ate there twice this trip & loved it both nights. What restaurants in Bucerias did you like?? We will definitely be back so I would love to hear your recommendations!
@@alex-wittman Sorry for the long list, there is some great food to be had! La Cocina De Jorge - breakfast Barra Betto - Unassuming bar with some really good seafood Pollos Andrea - great local chicken place we were taken to on a food tour Los Tejabanes - breakfast Kenshō - nice pitstop for happy hour with some great thai snacks Los Dorados de Villa Birria - awesome breakfast birria Tacos Junoir - Local tacos Taquería Ontiveros - More great tacos at a local spot La Michoacana - Great for ice creams and Paletas Special mention for La Peska in La Cruz de Hunacaxtle for Seafood
We will be relocating to the Yucatán next year, I have been watching your channel for awhile now, and love your travels. I would love to see Pueblos Magicos … I plan on checking as many of them out as possible when we move.
It was soooo hot lol did you see how much Taylor was sweating?! 😅 Thanks so much for the suggestions, Christopher! I've got a little list of Mexico travel vlog destinations going!!
I have been to Bucerias a few times while in PV. Lovely little town to relax and chill from the hype of PV, as you noted. And the beach is so much nicer (sand, as opposed to pebbles) than the ones in PV.
We did that hike in February but only to the halfway point. We consider ourselves to be in pretty decent shape and very able bodied and found it to be medium-challenging with a couple of spots where we slide down on our butts! At that point we baled and took a water taxi back to Boca, which was pretty funny because it took an hour of hiking to get there and literally only a couple of minutes to get back! How did the last half to Las Animas compare?
Hi Alex, Bucerias is where we vacay every feb/mar since 2010. Don't like how it's growing and of course the prices in restaurants have gone up alot. Going this coming Feb/Mar and it will probably be our last time.
Yep, I guess the government changed towns like Sayulita and Bucerias to be on the same time zone as PV because too many people were messing up the times of their flights!
Hi Alex, I’m a US retiree and would be interested in seeing other up and coming beach locations where beach homes are affordable in the 250 to 350k range.
Have you visited Bucerías, Mexico?? What other destinations would you like to see featured in a Mexico travel vlog??
Wonderful video. 😊
Happy birthday taylor cheers my amigo!!!
Gran video!!!
Very nice place Alex, and happy birthday to Taylos. Thanks for a wonderful trip. God bless you guys,
Thanks for watching, Daniel!

I plan on living in Bucerias! I will be in Puerto Vallarta in 2 weeks to complete my permanent residency...can't wait!! Great video!
Wishing you all the best with the canje part of the residency process! Bucerias is amazing!

Hi from Canada! I really enjoy these types of videos, which give us viewers a glimpse of such wonderful places. Thumbs up from me :)
I am so glad to hear you enjoyed this video! I included the driving tour to give you a better idea of what Bucerias looks like 🤗
Me gustaría conocer más de los pueblos pequeños/mágicos en las montañas, gracias!

Thanks for sharing your experience on the hike, Betsy! Yes, definitely visit Bucerias when you have the chance!
Nice. Don’t know if you’ve been there, but it is nearby: Lo de Marcos. As for magical tows, Mazamitla. Writing from Cali but was in Jalisco recently.
I love Lo de Marcos! I was there earlier this year:

So exciting! Do you know yet where in Yucatan you want to live??
Hi Alex! There’s lots of banks if you walk east to the lateral on 200. It’s only a few blocks.
Thanks for the tip, Michell!
Very interesting and enjoyable video.
Were you guys touched by Hurricane Hillary?
This video was filmed back in June-later vlog 🤓 we didn’t have any rain, but it was very hot!
Happy -BDay❤🎉
Taylor says thank you! 😊
Great video Alex! Was it hot?😂. I would love to see you two visit Barra de Navidad and Melaque

Hola Alex saludos ojalá fueron a conocer a otros estados y a isla maria

Oooo yes the sand is so much softer in Bucerías! Thanks for watching, Mario!

The last half to Las Animas was much flatter but less shade!
Are you going to jump on the Tren Maya when it opens in Dec?
Good one as usual! Totally agree about san pancho over sayulita, would love more about living in guadalajara, gracias y bien dia!
Thanks for sharing that you’d like to see more living in Guadalajara content, Dave!

Sounds like you’ve loved Bucerías for a long time! I hope you enjoy your next trip there!
Hola Alex saludos como estas?
Sadly bica got hit bad with the hurricane mist buildings destroyed, the trail is now impassable, and the other beaches are severely damaged, very sad😢
Hi Alex! I'm from your home state, Bucerias is pretty! I'm not a beach person so I have no idea where you should go next.
Are you more of a city than beach person, Cindy?? Or is there some other kind of nature that you prefer?
@alex-wittman We are just getting back from Morelia, that is my speed, lol.
@@cindyk3076 I adore Morelia! Such a lovely city!
LOL I had no idea about the time changes! 🤦🏻♀ Hopefully I haven't accidentally stood anyone up in Sayulita before...
Yep, I guess the government changed towns like Sayulita and Bucerias to be on the same time zone as PV because too many people were messing up the times of their flights!
How many days after you receive you visa in the US, you have to go to Mexico to start your temporary residency?
Your visa is valid for six months. Once you enter Mexico with the visa, you have 30 days to go to INM to do the exchange for your residency card.
Hi Alex, I’m a US retiree and would be interested in seeing other up and coming beach locations where beach homes are affordable in the 250 to 350k range.
Thanks for watching! You should def check out the video I posted earlier this year about Lo de Marcos!

Is it really a jungle though? In Jalisco?
UR in my hood
We love Bucerias 🥰 where do you call home, John??
