As a daddy of 2 girls, this song is not just about father and daughter, but it reminds me how precious my wife is to her father. She deserves no less love than before.
My daughter's father didn't have much to do with her even though he lived less than 2 miles from her. As she grew up, he always had excuses why he couldn't meet up with her. I walked her down the aisle when she got married, crying the whole way. I was a mess because she had suffered so much growing up but had grown into a beautiful woman. Daddies are a necessary part of a girls life. No girl should have to grow up without one.
@@contentedspirit9022 Even tho they suffer if their daddy isnt around, sometimes depending on the man he can do more damage by being there. sad but true, I know from experience
Billy I met my daughter when just after she turned 4. It was her mother's and my second date. 3 weeks later when she asked me if I would be her Daddy she stole my heart. I might not be her biological father but I am and always will be her Daddy.
Ted Harvick awe that’s sweet! My daddy is also a popa to his grandchildren. Including my daughter and she has her big daddy (my husband’s dad). Love my daddy to pieces.
Me too. My biological dad passed away when I was 16, and now I've been blessed to have an adopted Daddy, that I still at 45 get excited to see him, talk to him or go for our Daddy/Daughter dates for lunch and chatting. I hadn't seen him in a little over 2 years bc I moved from Pa to TX and be drove me down. Now that I'm back home in Pa, I finally got to see him last Friday. As soon as he walked into the apartment my boyfriend and I have I started to cry. He's like, "I told Mommy that you would cry within a few minutes of walking in!" True to form ...I did!!
Butterfly Kisses was such a special song for my Dad and me. I lost him 4 years ago and this song brings a lot of wonderful memories back for me and almost feels like I'm wrapped in one of his hugs again.
My dad sent me a copy of this song back in the 90's when it came out. I listenes and cried! I was in my 40's at the time. Hearing it today brought back that feeling. He has been gone almost 15 yrs.
The single for this song was the first CD I ever bought. I grew up with my stepfather who is never able to have biological children of his own. This song was very special to us. I remember seeing him cry for the first time when we listen to this song. He said he felt blessed to have us in his life and I felt the same way.
So proud of my 16 year old daughter. She will always be my baby. I cry everytime i hear this song. Also i Loved her first and Stealing Cinderella. She will always be my baby
Major Daddy's girl here! I lost him when I was 26. That was fourteen years ago but there hasn't been a single day gone by where I haven't thought of him, his love for me and how lucky I was to have him as my Daddy. He gave me away a few years before he passed but no other man could ever occupy his place in my heart. He will always be with me in everything I do.
This song is sad to me because I never had a good relarionship with my dad. Your comments and the other dads on here are heartwarming to me. Great reaction.
I completely understand how you feel. I love my dad, but my relationship with him has never been like this. It warms my heart to see all the loving stories and memories.
My dad walked me down the aisle to this song!! I lost him in 2018 from a massive heart attack. There were some hurt feelings between us at the time and I didn't get a chance to talk it out with him. Hearing this song brings back a memory I will cherish forever. I still remember the way he looked at me when we started our walk down that aisle. Thanks for reminding of the good times!!!
This song is 25 years old. I've been married for 20 years and this was the song to our father/daughter dance. I heard it today and couldn't stop crying. In 2016 he passed away 💔😥 how I wish I could have another dance with him. Love your reaction. Cherish every moment with your princess tomorrow is not promised. Wishing you many years of joy happiness and best wishes.
I grew up on this song and as a child my two sisters and I would listen to this when our parents would play it. It always takes me back to my childhood. I'm 31 so yeah it's been a long time and now I have children too and as a father I have two beautiful little girls and a little boy. I love being a father and a husband, married now 7 years.
When my girls were in elementary & middle school they held a Daddy-Daughter dance every year - and we'd dance to this song. Those precious memories are now more than a dozen years old now, both of my daughters are either in college or grad school & just beginning to spread their wings & grow into the strong, independent young women I knew they'd become. This song brings a flood of emotions...
I'm not a father but watched this video right after watching your reaction to I loved her first and was crying during both of them. I've always loved these songs and I have 2 precious kids. My daughter is 3 and my son is about a year and a half and I can't imagine when they are older and getting married.. I recently became a single mom so it's me taking care of them by myself now and I feel like I treasure them even more now.. These songs just melted my heart 💕 and I can see your love for your daughter in your reactions. It's a type of love you don't fully understand until you have a kid and it's powerful and beautiful 💙😇
Still brings me to tears... Song came out when my oldest girl was born. Use to hold her in my arms and dance around the room with her. Now I've seen all the verses pass by and I'm brought back to (happy) tears. "Like the wind the years go by...." Enjoy and realize every moment/minute.
Gee, what would it have been like to have a father's love like that? I cried listening to this song and then reading all the nice comments from dads who love their daughters. Lucky girls.
I’m trans and wayyy before i transitioned when i was 3 or 4 years old me and my dad would sing this together all the time, i made him a promise that at my wedding he wants this song to be the father daughter dance and even tho im now his son im still going to grant him that wish when i do get married because he truly deserves it after all theses years of loving me unconditionally
My daughter plans on dancing to this with her Daddy on her wedding day. Her Daddy is a paralyzed now. But we will figure it out somehow!!! Damn war has screwed up so many lives!!!
As I walked my daughter down the isle she looked over at me and saw me crying. She squeezed my arm and said I'll always be your little girl daddy. I was so proud of her. And gave her to a great guy. It's been 5 years and they still act like newlyweds.
I was young when this came out and I remember my best friend loving this song. She was the youngest girl of three and this was her and her dads song. We would play it over and over on cassette tape. So many other songs in this time that pull my heart. 💓
I have 2 beautiful daughters. My youngest died at 14 years old about 7 years ago. I can always feel her hug and smell her perfume. Miss her everyday. My oldest just turned 30 and I couldn't be a more proud dad. She has given me 3 beautiful grandbabies and is such a sweet mom to them. They grow so fast. Hold them close! We are not promised tomorrow.
My dad passed away almost two years ago. Before he died I married my boyfriend of 10 years. This was always our song and we danced to this for our father daughter dance. He was so thin and weak but he did it and I cried through the whole thing knowing it was our last dance. My heart exploded as this is the first time I listened to it since that day. Thank you Billy.
I haven't listened to this song in a few years and I'm sobbing. My dad used to always sing this song to me when I was little. There is nothing like the love between a father and daughter. I'm nearly 30 but will always be daddy's little girl.
I'm a daughter and this song makes me cry just listening to this 😭😭 I lost my momma in 2015 October 17th and daddy is now everything to me...... I'm 35 and literally will always be a daddy's girl and a mommas girl..... I truly love and adore my parents... I could go on and on but I'll really start crying and nope I can't...... it'll be 4 years on Wednesday October 30th since we laid momma to rest..... god thinking about it right now 😭😭😭💔💔💔
As someone who's father abused her mother and only used me as further abuse until it no longer worked and then completely left, it makes me so happy to see fathers who are actually dads. Who love and care and support their daughters the way every little girl deserves. It brings me to tears and makes me so happy, because THAT is what being a dad is. And I'm glad there are great dads in the world like you. Never take your children for granted.
This song always brings tears to my eyes. Being the father of now 17 year artistic daughter this song touches me deeply. Watching your videos I know for sure your daughter has a excellent father.
I'm dad of two boys and this song makes me cry like a baby. It's about your child growing up, growing into their own person, and leaving the home. It's heart breaking for any parent.
I don’t have a single moment that stands out at this second, but than again every second of every moment with her makes me thank GOD. For all the happiness he gave me. There are times I even wish time would slow down or even stop. So I’d have one more second with her. She is the most beautiful daughter in the world to me. She makes me happy everyday.
I love this song. Being a daddy's girl it took me over a year after my dad passed to be able to hear this song again. My dad was a Army Vet, a retired band director, and a foster parent to 59 children. It has now been 6 years since he has passed and I still struggle hearing this song.
When this was released in 1995, Bob Carlisle was being interviewed about this song, that he wrote for his daughter. The interviewer asked him if he's ever written a song for his son. He said he was going to & he was going to title it, "Get the Hell Down From There".
(Car Lile). This was my daughter's dance with her father song at her wedding, in 2005. I'd been a great mother of the bride until this song, and I then totally lost it. Ugly crying. He wasn't her bio-father, he was her step father, but he raised her. And he did a terrific job. It didn't matter at all we were in the last years of our break up, she was our daughter, and I am so grateful he was there to show her how fathers are supposed to be. We did divorce a few years later, and then he died of Agent Orange cancer. Didn't matter at all who was her baby daddy, he was her father. And I am grateful.
I lost my dad when I was 17. I'd give anything to be able to kiss him goodnight. I got married a week ago and it broke my heart to not have him give me away. I was a daddy's girl
I was introduced to this song MANY years ago when my daughter was about 4 years old. She's 26 now and I still get teary eyed every time I hear it. Still planning on it being played if/when she finally gets married. We've also talked about our Daddy / Daughter dance will be to Steven Curtis Chapman's Cinderella.
I got married Sept 21st this year and this was my daddy daughter dance song. One of the best moments of my life. Love you daddy. Also I adore your reactions. Thank you so much for making me smile every time.
I love when Billy You So Emotional shows up. I have 2 grown daughters who are both Daddy's girls and their Daddy adores them. I was a Daddy's girl myself. Mine passed when I was 11. My girls and I sit and listen to this and cry all the time.
The first time that I heard this song was shortly after my wife and I were married and we found out that we were having a little girl. When I heard this song I broke down with so much emotion and I hadn't even seen my baby yet. That was almost 16 years ago and watching Billy do this video just made it happen all over again. All dads out there with precious little girls should hear this song at least once in there life.
I’m not crying...you’re crying! I have a 6 yr old and 10 yr old and to say they are growing so fast and I’m proud of who they are becoming is understatement !
This song is perfectly aligned with how me and my daughter were as she grew up from a baby. She is now 26 years old and married. She is an RN and working with children who have cancer. Her husband is a student but was in the Air Force. But I felt every word of that song in all of its phases. She is a beautiful woman now and as always caring and sensitive to everyone she meets.
This brought back memories. Our youth group use to a silly dance to this song once a year for our children at our Kidz Kamp. It was always a counselor highlight. I’d forgotten about it until I saw this.
I AM SO BLEESSSEED! PLAYED THIS SONG AT MY DAUGHTERS WEDDING 7 YEARS AGO FOR THE DAD & DAUGHTER DANCE. NOT A DRY EYE IN THE PLACE. I AM SO VERY GRATEFUL TO GOD FOR AN AMAZING DAUGHTER. FATHERS ENJOY EVERY MOMENT WITH THEM. TIME GOES BY SOOO FAAAST. SHE IS NOW 29 WITH TWO AMAZING SONS-GOD'S EXTRA BLESSINGS IN OUR LIVES. BEAUTIFUL SONG-MADE ESPECIALLY FOR MY DAUGHTER &I.
I have one child, a daughter and she is the best thing that ever happened to me. “With all that I’ve done wrong, I must’ve done something right.” Damn!
Just discovered this channel, and I have binge watched it all day! And as much as I love him watching happy, fun videos like "Goodbye Earl", I have to say I love the heart and humanity of him watching the sad ones. When Billy so Emotional joins in, I ugly face cry!!!
As a daddy of 2 girls, this song is not just about father and daughter, but it reminds me how precious my wife is to her father. She deserves no less love than before.
I don’t care what anyone says but this song could make any man tear up
This was song for the father/daughter dance at my wedding

For anyone who doesn't know what a butterfly kiss is, it's when they put their faces close to yours and flutter their eyelashes on your face.
I wondered if anyone would mention that!
My daddy and I used to do these. Now I do them with my children. First eskimo, then butterflies, then kisses. ❤
I see. I thought it was just a mouth to mouth chaste kiss. which I understand as you get older it gets a bit weird to do that. Thanks for explaining.
I always forget what it is until I'm reminded thank you for reminding me

and _Daddy's Hands,_ by Holly Dunn.

I love this song and every time I hear it I look at my daughter and I am just so thankful that God blessed me to be her daddy.
Doug Stone - I Never Knew Love.
Dont matter what mood I'm in. This song will always make me tear up. Thinking of my daughters growing up.
I’m not crying...you’re crying! I have a 6 yr old and 10 yr old and to say they are growing so fast and I’m proud of who they are becoming is understatement !
Father daughter dance - at my wedding! Missed my dad he’s up heaven now 🌹
This song is perfectly aligned with how me and my daughter were as she grew up from a baby. She is now 26 years old and married. She is an RN and working with children who have cancer. Her husband is a student but was in the Air Force. But I felt every word of that song in all of its phases. She is a beautiful woman now and as always caring and sensitive to everyone she meets.
#1 daddy/ daughter wedding dance song of the late 90s early 00s
I’ve got 4 daughters, I really need help! I cry a lot when it comes to them or their wonderful angel mother at my side!
I love my daughter very much and my sons too. I can’t imagine my life without them.
Know your daughter...i percieve she shall become a great leader. you are blessed.
My daughter is 17 this year. This song hits home for a momma that raised her with out a daddy.
This is the song I danced to with my dad at my wedding. I love this song!!!
I have one child, a daughter and she is the best thing that ever happened to me. “With all that I’ve done wrong, I must’ve done something right.” Damn!
Carlisle is pronounced “Car- Lyle”. 😁
I was born in Carlisle Pa. I cringed when he tried to say his last name lol
@@coryhoover83 tell me about it :P
😂
My daughter is my whole world.
When I'm come home from work and she hugs me melts my heart
No words. But this song comes close. Damn man.
Very proud of my daughter. She’s been a joy raise. Had to give her away last year. Hardest thing I’ve had to do for her.
Just discovered this channel, and I have binge watched it all day! And as much as I love him watching happy, fun videos like "Goodbye Earl", I have to say I love the heart and humanity of him watching the sad ones. When Billy so Emotional joins in, I ugly face cry!!!
Definately a proud father of my little girl who is 26 lol
49 year old woman here...still can't get through this song without breaking the damn! How you held it together so well, baffles my brain 😂.
I'm so proud of my baby girl she grew up so fast she's a beautiful strong young woman
I lost my Daddy when I was 12 and I am almost 60 and I still miss him and his Butterfly Kisses!! Thanks Billy
Raising my Granddaughter she graduates this year and it's keeping me emotional. Had her since she was 8.
Oh I can’t handle this song. If she plays this as the father daughter dance at her wedding I’m going ball my eyes out.
