I've seen lots of people online suggesting that the mother somehow wasn't surprised or that she had an abnormal reaction when it's so clear she was in a state of shock and disbelief, as many people would be at the sight of this unbelievable thing. The mom has a long road ahead of her.

To everyone who was commenting on the fact that his mother was so calm on the 911 call. There are four major mental states that people will go into in a traumatic situation. 1) Freak out 2) Laugh hysterically 3) Freeze and do not speak & 4) Emotionally shutdown and detach themselves from the situation. As Shads mother did. She saw something traumatic and her brain just said nope we're not even going to try to compute this right now.

The way she was trying to hide her grins and smiles was so disturbing. She was pursing her eyebrows to hide them, but her facial expression came out like confusion or distaste. She is an entity trying to act human enough to blend in. She loves that she took a life and that she's now known for it. An abomination.

With all due respect, Shad wouldn't have looked like himself either after all that Taylor had done to him. He would have been almost unrecognizable to his own mother, especially after hearing the investigators and detectives describe the state he was in. The medical examiner was very graphic in the way he described what happens during asphyxiation.
I hate knowing that his own mother found him like that and has that memory burned into her mind. So glad Taylor was convicted and found competent to be sentenced as the murderer she is.

It wasn't her own van she drove away with her victim's dismembered thigh and buttock on the back seat. She'd borrowed it from a friend, then used it in the crime. Not only did she use kitchen knives to decapitate Shad and dismember his corpse - she took the knives from his MOM'S kitchen block!
The photos of those bloody, flesh-encrusted knives after they'd been used to cut a head off, a foot off, legs off, cut an arm at the elbow etc, were horrific. The bread knife had no serrated edge left whatsoever - she'd ground it down hacking through human bone! This grisly work took literally hours.
To do that to her friend since childhood - and at his mom's home too, murdering her precious son, carving him up and leaving behind his head in a bucket for her to discover, piled barbarity on barbarity. Taylor Schabusiness' insanity claim is as fake as her made-up name. She's 100% sane, 100% sadistic and 100% EVIL. Jury got it right.
The verdict today finally wiped the smirk off her hideous face. No cushy psychiatric hospital for Taylor - she's going to die in a maximum security prison where she belongs, just like her idol Jeffrey Dahmer.

As a Paramedic for 22 years, I’ve sadly seen a fair bit of severe trauma & tragic situations, but like most people in the emergency services & health industry, I’ve adapted & learned how to process that trauma & reduce the long term impact of it. I have a mental photo album of those things, but I don’t feel the same level of emotion, distress or horror now as when I first witnessed it. But it takes time to develop the ability to do that & no matter how experienced you are, there are always cases that get to you.

I just cannot fathom how a kitchen knife could cut through some of the hardest bones in the human body. This is the craziest case I’ve ever seen in the news. I feed my dogs all natural treats and I half them between both of my dogs so I literally have to use a hand saw just to cut those and also for unwanted branches on my trees, so how she dismembered him with just a serrated “butter” knife as some have described must have been utterly exhausting as well as how much time it would have taken and idk if the parents were home at the time and if so, how did they not hear her. I cannot imagine what the guy went through and the parents after finding his body parts in a bucket. She needs prison not a mental health facility. IMO I’m sick of people claiming insanity when they don’t agree with the law. You play, you pay!!
