Do you write thank you messages after your interviews? Do you think they’ve helped you land your jobs? Tell me all the juicy details in the comments below.
Kamara this is another excellent video in your series! I just love the humour you add while giving valuable information to job seekers. I am living proof that writing a thank you message after an interview can land you the job. The manager who hired me reflected two years after being hired. She couldn't decide between another candidate and me. Because I took the time to write a thank you message she went with me. So it can and does make a difference. To your point of sending a thank you message even if you don't get the job, I wholeheartedly agree. I like to think of the hiring manager a person interviews with as a part of the person's network. I recommend that if the person really wants to work at that particular company to keep in touch by sharing information that is of value, or something that you know the person likes. Perhaps it's a hockey team and you can lament a loss or celebrate a victory. Or share some news about a competition. As long as it is of value it will be appreciated and it will also keep you top of mind should something not work out with the candidate chosen.
I love hearing about your personal experience with these interview tactics Jude! That's awesome to hear that the thank you note really helped you stand out as the clear choice, and it probably only took you a few minutes to put together. I love what you said here too "I like to think of the hiring manager as a part of a person's network" YES! Exactly THIS! You never know when your paths will cross again and thank you notes will make you as the job seeker, all the more memorable!
I will use this template. Thank you for sharing. I didn't like writing cover letters and thank you letters before, but now I'm enjoying it. It's a good opportunity to reiterate skills or strengths.
I just finished writing a Thanks for the Rejection email to a very kind and complementary email from the hiring manager. After my appreciation for her and her team, I actually asked what the deciding factor was that led her to choose the other candidate. (Feedback is soooo valuable) I also asked her to keep my contact information, as I could really see myself working with the company. Haven't heard back (4 days later) - was that too much>
Thank You! Kamara. This was a great video with lots of really good information on sending a Thank You note after the interview, which is sometimes a very difficult process. Happy New Year 2022!!!

Great work! Not too much but it’s unlikely you’ll get feedback/insights from the hiring manager because they run the risk of incriminating themselves.
I am unable to download thank you template
Email me and I’ll send it to you.
Two years later, is this still a great idea, sending a thank you letter?
Yes it is. I recommend sending a thank you email.
What subject title we should put in the email
Thank You would be a sufficient subject line.

Thank you so much Lisa! I'm so glad you found this helpful. Happy 2022 to you as well!
Sorry I missed this 'Live'. Great information, thanks, think I have some emails to send to some recruiters that tried :).
Thank you! Well, that’ll be a great way to keep relationships with recruiters warm!
I interviewed with 9 people yesterday. Do I send thank you notes to all 9 or just the hiring manager and recruiter?
Hiring manager and recruiter should be sufficient.
@@thatswhatshesaid Thank you so much for your quick reply! I am going to use your template now. Have a great weekend. I will let you know how it goes.
