I should've watched this video MANY interviews ago...I write some fairly personalized, specific thank you notes. But I really am grateful! Good note about separate emails for separate interviewers. I'll be sure to do that going forward.
I'm not sure if this video is very helpful. I still have no idea how this thank you note would look like after big company on site interviews - 5 interviews on same day (or different days), where you don't have interviewers' names nor email addresses in the email from recruiter. Neither do I know if I should reply to recruiter, interviewer or organizer of interviews. Should I change email subject, should it be new email? Too many questions left
Rad Rad, ideally, you have their name and email, anyone of these interviewers you can email directly, if you don't know their name or email address, you can simply send the thank you notes to your Recruiter and if you don't know their name, ask your Recruiter to fill in the name for you. (you can put Interviewer #1, 2, etc.) There is a template you can use in the description.
I have watched and re-watched and literally learnt everything you've said through all of your videos. The questions were exactly what you said they would be. I'm so glad I found you. Do you think it makes a difference to my response to add something to a note I will send thanking them that I missed for a Google interview? I just interviewed for a Program Manager role yesterday.
RAPCHIC, I think stating something you missed in a thank you letter is okay. It is best posed as "In reflecting back on our conversation, we could have also talked about the importance of scalability with GCP clients, that would have been fun to discuss." Something like this that is casual is okay. I would still say it is not ideal. Oftentimes I see people tying out long adjusted answers to questions in thank you notes and this never helps. Remember the goal in the interview is not to be perfect and get everything right, it is to be really good. I hope this helps!
Hi Jeff, thank you for your videos! I finished my last round interview for Google's summer internship last week. I've been watching your videos for preparation and they are really helpful! One question is now I'm waiting for the result, and the recruiter says they are still interviewing other candidates. I will get the interview feedback after next week. If I have already sent a thank you letter on my interview day, but later think of something I can add to the interview, would you recommend me to send another letter?
Hi Jeff, if I don't have the interviewers' email. Should I ask my recruiters for their emails? or Should I ask for their emails in the end of the interview? Or should I ask my recruiters to pass along my thank you notes? What should I do? Thank you so much!!
George, either on is fine, the most likely scenario is that your Recruiter will ask you to forward them. If this is the case, forward separate thank you notes, so they can literally just add the interviewers email and forward it on, good luck!
Hi everyone, this video really targets the basics and check out the free template in the UA-cam description. I hope this video helps!
I needed to watch this today! Thanks Jeff!!
Sevinity, I love it when the timing of my videos works out, happy to help!

Tina, yes, typically less is more and definitely personalize!
