    The scenery is phenomenal... prices are random. Some items are within range and others are sky high. Gas is about the same as CA. Loved being part of your trip! Thank you!

      The difference is the cost of gas up there is all economics, in Cali it's all tax/socialism. Up in Prudhoe there's a legitimate reason for the price, in Cali it's just to line your champagne communist leaders pockets.

    • @jondstewart
      @jondstewart 2 роки тому +1

      @@willcresson8776 it’s not socialism in California! Do you think if socialism,
      communism, humanism, or whatever other -ism there is in California, prices would be so high? It’s because California has for many decades been a ridiculously desirable place to live. At least on the coast. Perfect climate, for one. So they drive up the cost of living to ridiculously high rates to keep the rich there, drive the poor out, and make the middle class live on the fringes. Population control. Socialism is about equality for all with everybody just living comfortably and not much else. California is hardly the place.

    Well that brought back memories ! My wife and I have a photo in front of that store from a road trip up there in 2010. New Mexico to Deadhorse and back, 5 weeks and 10,000 miles. Gas was about the same, if I recall. Inside of the store hasn’t changed much either. Spent a couple days in Fairbanks, and of course visited the Santa Claus house in North Pole. My mom got one of the “square inch” deeds from her uncle back many decades ago. We found the park, and sent her a photo. Thank you for these videos, and god bless you and your family !

I stayed at Brooks Camp and went to the store a few times, and walked from Brooks Camp to the Aurora one time. When I walked to the Aurora and back it was -38F with a -55F wind chill. Later in the day it was -36F but it got windier, so it was -67F with the windchill. I was just there as a tourist, and I loved it.

    Wow! Your video takes me all the way back to 1985 when I met a guy and moved up to Seattle. When I got there, we immediately got jobs at a cannery way up in Chignik! It took 3 planes to make it up there. I ended up coming back to Washington to wait for him because conditions were just too harsh for me. His whole family was in the fishing business. His niece was the wife of Dave Rundall, who was lost along with his whole crew from the Arctic Rose. Such memories!

    It was breathtaking to see the ice and snow Mountains from the airplane window. The camp seems depressing hope folks enjoy their time there. Because there is inly a few who get to see that area! Glad you home! ♥️

    That was awesome to see! Thank you for sharing! I was surprised at the pricing being so far out I would have thought it was more expensive. Thank you to all who work the oil fields so many Americans thank you for your sacrifice of being away from your families for so long.

    Happy Monday, SOMERS. I hope you are having a good day. September is coming up
    On Wednesday, and the fall season will get underway. Much love and support to you SOMERS. The weather will
    Be reducing in the fall season. Lots of leaves will be falling off the trees. I hope you SOMERS stay safe. Continue on your road on getting the giant gold play button.
