Wow. I couldn't watch the senior act of kindness. It was a flashback, for me, not the lack of being old and unloved. I'm old, but not unloved...it was the lack of human touch....that's all I wanted...to give and get a hug...even now I get teary eyed thinking about it.
We finished delivering coloring packets (coloring books, colored pencils and pencil sharpeners) to four nursing homes. We made 75 packets. It felt so good. This act of kindness was inspired by a woman who used to be a resident of our apartment building (and was one of the first members of our group) who fell and broke her hip last year. She loved coloring but will permanently residing in the nursing home. We checked and got counts from each nursing home before we even started. It was so awesome.
@@deannavergari1618 at the nursing home I used to visit , it was regular good old kids coloring books ... IMO, the 'adult' ones are too frustrating because you have to keep within the lines which are too small!

My husband passed away in a nursing home on September 27 iof this year. He had end-stage renal failure and ended up getting Covid and never really recovered was in care for about a year. This act of kindness made me cry 😢
This made me cry . My father is in a care centre.this is his first Christmas away from home in 40 years .😭😭. Audrey broke my heart hugging the little grandma . Blessings .🥰
Absolutely breaks my heart that these people in their last days can't be hugged, touched, kissed, and loved by their families. I keep praying God will provide a way for this to change. Ty for what you've done dear family. God bless you all!
Oh!! Tears running down my cheeks,Thank You,so much,As a retired nurse I loved working for 38half years in the Nursing Home facility and outside of the staff some of them never seen anyone but us,God Bless you so much! i am lifting you up in prayer.
I think it’s best when they DON’T remember the random acts of kindness; It shows that the kindness needed no notoriety for them, and that they TRULY HAVE KIND HEARTS 💚💜❤️
As someone whose mom is in a long term care facility, I can say with 100% positivity that any act of kindness to these wonderful people is appreciated. There are so many residents who don't get many visitors, that even a card means the world to them. We should never, ever forget our seniors! I'm literally crying watching this, thinking of how blessed I am to be able to visit my mother. P.S. please also remember the amazing staff who take care of the residents! They're so special!
When my Dad was in the nursing home I would visit him once a week. During the Christmas season I put up his Christmas Tree and familiar decorations, take him out to a restaurant, brought my puppy. I just can't imagine how heartbreaking it must be to not have a family visit and go visit family. Thanks for you inspiring acts of kindness to people who feel forgotten.
I work at a nursing facility/rehab... Some of us are legit the only family some of our residents have... when I tell you the tiniest things they get just make their faces light up.... our oldest resident is 107 and shes as active as she was 30 years ago... All she asked for this year was for all of us to make it home safe and hug her before we go home... its the simple things yall... breaks my heart, but they feel loved by us even with this global mess... Merry Christmas from me here in Dover, TN everybody!
My favorite vlog so far. I was my Mom's caregiver in my home. She passed last December of alzheimers. Now I'm my husband's caregiver. God bless you for all you do!
When I seen this video I started crying. My husband died and worked in nursing home in California. 95% of the patients in a nursing home does not have family come and see them at all. Seeing you guys doing that is a lot of loving care and thoughtful of you guys doing that. Those people will treasure that for the rest of their life what they have left God bless you all merry merry Christmas
A thought for next year, nursing home, if they have an Alzheimer's unit. ( If allowed due to covi) Sometimes they feel so lonely. There are groups that present a swaddled baby doll.. residents react like its a real baby, singing, comforting, and it comforts them. Its so sweet. These years have been so hard. ( Washable, Stuffed cats/dogs too)
I could use a few prayers. I have some family members who tested positive for COVID-19 in the last few days (one lives here in the US, the others live in London). These last few videos have been keeping my spirits up. I call my aunt usually once a week. I don't get to see her very often. So calling her makes it easier to chat and catch up each other.
Father God, we pray for Amanda's family for health and healing. Father, please touch each one with your mercy and grace. Heal them Father and give them all your Peace. We ask these things in Jesus's precious name. Amen!
Happy tears, again. I work in senior living and this makes my heart so happy. You have no idea what a blessing this was for the patients and the staff.
In high school, our Madrigal singing group would visit nursing homes at the holidays. The people enjoyed it so much and there were always tears all around
I think you guys are awesome! Thank you for your love , kindness, and giving! I'm sure you made a lot of people happy. I love making hats and scarves all year and then at Christmas I give them to charities. I also give a shopping cart full of toys and gifts to the charity toy store at my church. I made wheel chair caddies and lap quilts and prayer shawls for the nursing home too. I have plenty of time to make these gifts all year. I have MS and a spinal cord injury and have to stay in a wheelchair , I cannot walk but I can still use my God given gifts to give to people less fortunate than me . I also love to do special things for the Military. I am retired Air Force and 70 years old. But my health and arthritis in my hands is taking a toll on me and I am sad to think I may not be able to keep making hand made things for people I love. God Bless and Have a Merry, Merry Christmas. You guys gave me a lot of special smiles this Christmas. Patricia Huff, Kernersville, NC
Guys......I love how you involve your children in the process of giving and being kind to others. These qualities, experiences and lessons will shape them into incredible loving, giving adults. So thankful for you all and how you are living the LIGHT. Blessings.
I'll be dropping off a big box of goodies to our local senior apartment building tomorrow for my youngest daughter's Girl Scout Troop. In the past, the troop was able to go in and we'd sing carols and do crafts with the residents. Now, all we can do is drop stuff off but at least they'll know that our troop hasn't forgotten them. We look forward to the time when we can go back inside and have fun with them all again.
All 3 of your kiddos are so sweet, but I truly feel like Audrey would make an amazing nurse of some sort. She seems so nurturing. The world needs more children like yours.💜 I hope your family had a blessed Christmas 🎄
Lord I just pray that you bless this family roll out all that they do for people bless them 100 Times over what they do in the joy that they bring to people
What you said about the older generation. Made me think of 2 of the biggest influence in my life. My Momom and her father my Great Poppy. Mommom taught me Amazing Grace and I got to teach my one Granddaughter the song. My Great Poppy taught me to always go to God and let him guide my way.
LOL Just was prompted to do one more random act of Christ kindness because of this video!!! I will not name them but tonights was way to much fun for an older lady. I am the older lady...hehe and this one was for a nurse.
My favorite act of kindness is the Sommer's Christmas vlog. By looking at all the comments, your family has lifted many, many people's spirits, hearts and mental health. God bless you all! Merry Christmas!
It is our Christmas Eve here in sunny and hot South Africa! And our random act of kindness today is to buy dinner for an elderly couple in our community. These folks have not only serious health concerns but their children live overseas. This is my favourite random act of kindness by far. The old folks are truly very dear to our hearts. And we also decided to take an extra step this year by opening our home to old folks within our community for Christmas Day for a traditional Christmas luncheon. There are some without families and then there are some that are just unable to afford to celebrate Christmas. We have been preparing all week and needless to say we are exhausted but my joy on Christmas day will be seeing their smiles and surprise on their faces when they see what we have done for them. I am so excited!😁💞🎉🎊🥳
You make a difference not only in our lives but the life of so many others. God's Blessings this Christmas and Always!! JESUS OUR LORD is the Reason for the Season!! 💕 Enjoy your celebration!! With much Love from Antonio, Celia, and Pamela Gonzalez 💕
Thank u for being here on Canada we heading in to lock down again so hard I cry ! Every day for all of us to live life and be happy I pray and pray ! For ppl to be safe ! Merry Christmas 🎄
This is so heart breaking for families around the world. Even when we were locked down last yr, never followed protocol. I just kept doing my thing. I pray that you do what's right for you. BLESSINGS MERRY CHRISTMAS
I am blessed to have been chosen to work in our local resident home. It is an honor and a pleasure to serve the precious elders of our society. Thank you for thinking of yours on Gods special day. Live life to the fullest and may God bless and keep you safe.
This random act of kindness is one of my favorites and thank you for sharing the one from a few years back. My Mom was a nurse in a nursing home for many years and I practically grew up in and around them. So many people drop them off and forget about them. Thanks for remembering them.
Thank You Bert Jessica , Audrey, Evelyn & Garrett for showing us all your Love & Compassion whole doing the random acts of kindness... I LOVE EVERY single vlog you post... HUGS & BLESSINGS of Peace, Good Health & Happiness throughout the Holiday Season & The New Year... GBY ALL 🙏❤💙💖💖💙🤗✝️🎄🎁
Bert and Jessica, Thank You for what you do and who you are! I've spent many lengthy stays in rehab hospitals the last several years after surgeries. Thankfully I was able to go home for the day on Thanksgiving and Christmas, except for last year. With covid, I was not able to go home for Thanksgiving last year, I was so lonely. And to top it off, they didn't even have pie! I pray that someday you will be able to get back to going in to visit with the elderly and other residents there. It makes so much of a difference in their lives. Thank you for sharing the joy and glad tidings of our Savior's birth. May God bless you this Christmas and into the new year!
Sadly my it was necessary for my mother to spend her last days in a nursing home. Thank you guys especially for remembering these often forgotten among us. Merry Christmas and may God bless your family.
I’ve had a really hard week. I had a COVID scare and was looking at having Christmas alone but today I got my negative test! During this hard time you guys put a smile on my face each day. Thank you for just being you and all your do for your community. I’m going to miss having videos everyday but I am so grateful that I had you guys to watch during this really hard and scary time for me. Love to you all and I hope you have an amazing Christmas
My child is waiting for his test results...which means I am waiting as well. Cancelled a Christmas eve get together in an over abundance of caution. Hopefully tomorrow we will know for sure and it will be 7 days with no symptoms since exposure so we can bust out at the same time lol.
Awe! The packages for Nursing Home is my favorite act of kindness. You saved the best for last. God bless your Family! Thank you for taking us along! MERRY CHRISTMAS! ✝️
Love this day! I didn't end up going to a nursing home but there was an older lady in out local Walmart parking lot who forgot where she'd parked & I helped her find it.
I work in a care home in the UK for elderly people living with Dementia, that was a lovely gesture and such a good example to set to your children. Love it 🥰
Your giving is what I like. I remember that we lived for the NCR bonus at Christmas each year to gain a family gift - a TV one year in the '50s. We baked and took care of each other. I am still in that situation since GM and my husband has left Dayton Ohio. But I love and respect you guys. God bless!
When I was growing up I had a great grandmother, grandmother's and grandfather's that influence my life and also aunts and uncles too.Was able to learn alot of family history. I even learned alot history from my Husband family.
This year especially the residents of nursing homes must feel very isolated due to Covid restrictions. Sending gifts and love to them must be really appreciated. God bless them and those who care for them.
This RAK was by far the one that brought the most tears. My mom (94) fell numerous times this year and spent most of the year recovering from two broken hips and broken ribs. We had to move her to assisted living which confuses her in her state of dementia. God bless you for all you do! Merry Christmas! ❤️❤️❤️
Bert and Jessica, god bless you both and your family! You folks are great people and are raising amazing children. My wife and I are trying to raise our two children with similar values and they’re turning out to be the best kiddos ever! Thank you for being such a great inspiration/example. Keep doing what you’re doing! Y’all are in our prayers.
Always taking care of our seniors, thank you! Our seniors, in most cases have no one. These gifts, and special greetings from your family will put a smile on their faces, and will let them know you care.
I can't imagine what wonderful adults you are raising through all of these acts of kindness and just the way you live your lives!!! I so long for my family to be living for God but I am so thankful to see what that would look like through your family so I hold on to His Promises.
Thank you for taking time to visit the nursing home. When my Dad was a resident, many of the residents had no visitors. I think I adopted lots of them and made sure I spoke with them each time I came so even a card or a gift is a special thing. Maybe when visitors are allowed, you will be able to visit them and hear their stories of when they were young.
I’m looking forward to seeing the backend of Christmas, to be honest. It’s been the hardest year I’ve ever experienced. Losing loved ones, losing job, prices of essentials skyrocketing. It’s a dark and bare Christmas this year and I’d be content to just hide under the covers and cry. 💔😢
Amy S. So sorry for the hard times and loss you've suffered this year. Jesus is our only hope. Please ask him to give you his peace and comfort. He really does love you.
I'm watching all the things that you've done during this time of year its been great I'm happy to see that you're doing something for the older folks my mom passed away in September from covid it does my heart good to see good people doing good things thank you again for sharing your life
Hello again the act of kindness that y'all do may god angels always watch over you and your family. Blessing upon your family.Thank you for the love of god.🙏🙏🙏🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲😊😊😊😊❤️❤️❤️
I feel like I am not that good of a person when it comes to this. When I watch this I do feel your family has inspired me to be better and do better around my community. I will be saving money aside for the next year so that I can do some of these random kind things.
Man I love you guys! He got lucky to have such a cool hardworking wife that’s a great mom and she got a stand up man and great role model! Together they maintain a beautiful family and manage to give while showing the world! I’m super inspired and lucky to have found you guys!
Whenever I’m having a bad day & I see you guys have posted my spirit lights up. I can feel the faith & love through the screen 💛 Merry Christmas to you guys 🥰
I can't pick a favorite you guys light up the Christmas season I am so gonna miss it and the opening song Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Blessings
Wish you all a very Merry Christmas… 🎄🎁 🤗 I wait to see you all every night…Bcz I can see and feel the love in you all through the videos… Hope you all Enjoy…! ❤️
This video out and out made me cry. Brought up sad memories of those gone who I cannot celebrate this time of year with anymore. There are also tears of joy that I am with my family. Special tears because hugs can not be shared in the way we did. I cry for not appreciating those open times .
My dad was in hospice for father's day 2020. Because of COVID only one of us was able to visit him that day. Thankfully my brother and sister visited in the days prior. He passed the following day.
Our Christmas is messed up this year as my husband developed a kidney stone and Covid-19, so we are under isolation for the season and don’t get to spend Christmas with our kids and grandkids. Luckily we have awesome family and I’ll take our presents to them tomorrow and they plan on fixing a plate for us on Christmas Day. Our son and daughter-in-law are awesome!
Here is a suggestion for folks looking to do something for nursing home residents for Valentine's Day. One year the kids, in our local homeschool group, made Valentines for the residents and were able to pass them out. The resdients faces lit up and they were so happy to get their valentines. I know that you can't go in now. The cards could be made and dropped off.
Merry Christmas to everyone! I know many people who have to celebrste Christmas at home without their family and friends. It's the same for my husband and me too. Hugs from Norway.
Thank you for making the run up to Christmas so good. I had a bad day today because I found out that my best friend got covid-19. This video cheered me up alot
i really like the way you and Bert install good values in your youngsters by giving to others. Very nice. Reminds me of when I was growing up. Happy Holidays 🎄 ☃ 🎅
So important!!! I see so many parents who act more like servants to their kids. It’s disgusting, it’s so nice to see kids that understand compassion and who truly think of others
It’s awesome that you’re bringing your kids along on these giving journeys. I can already tell they’re going to grow up to be wonderful unselfish and kind human beings. Well done!

Things to win at bingo when they play bingo is something cute♡♡
That's nice. In the building I live there are a lot of seniors here. A group of kids made Christmas cards to everybody, it was so sweet.

Merry Christmas!!! Sending
Merry Christmas ☃️☃️🌲
Y’all are in our prayers.
... YES !! They are AMAZING Children ..... From AMAZING parents !! ... ** MERRY CHRISTMAS SOMERS Family ....**
For anyone who does something for people in nursing homes bless you so many times these people are"dropped" there and forgotten by there family
Always taking care of our seniors, thank you! Our seniors, in most cases have no one. These gifts, and special greetings from your family will put a smile on their faces, and will let them know you care.
66 here in Southeast Texas. This made my heart smile 🥰
Merry Christmas 🎄

I feel like I am not that good of a person when it comes to this. When I watch this I do feel your family has inspired me to be better and do better around my community. I will be saving money aside for the next year so that I can do some of these random kind things.
You don't have to wait until Christmas..consider doing it at another time when everyone else is not giving gifts.
Man I love you guys! He got lucky to have such a cool hardworking wife that’s a great mom and she got a stand up man and great role model! Together they maintain a beautiful family and manage to give while showing the world! I’m super inspired and lucky to have found you guys!

This video out and out made me cry. Brought up sad memories of those gone who I cannot celebrate this time of year with anymore. There are also tears of joy that I am with my family. Special tears because hugs can not be shared in the way we did. I cry for not appreciating those open times .

Merry Christmas to all happy peoples..
My dad was in hospice for father's day 2020. Because of COVID only one of us was able to visit him that day. Thankfully my brother and sister visited in the days prior. He passed the following day.
Merry Christmas and happy New year. Love you all, praying for you guys, praise Jesus
I have enjoyed the Random Acts of Christmas Kindness so much. Hands and Feet of Jesus!
From my wife Sue and I, we wish you all a very Merry and Blessed Christmas from here in West Virginia.
God has blessed you with a given heart so that you can share with all. I bless you with all joy, Merry Christmas.
i really like the way you and Bert install good values in your youngsters by giving to others. Very nice. Reminds me of when I was growing up. Happy Holidays 🎄 ☃ 🎅
So important!!! I see so many parents who act more like servants to their kids. It’s disgusting, it’s so nice to see kids that understand compassion and who truly think of others
Merry Christmas! I love watching your Vlogmas!
Merry Christmas Somers family and all the Happy Peoples❄️
It’s awesome that you’re bringing your kids along on these giving journeys. I can already tell they’re going to grow up to be wonderful unselfish and kind human beings. Well done!
