Exactly. I had it on my faith character's main weapon pretty much the whole game. Only time I switched it for Fire Strike was at late game bosses who have very high holy resistance.
Not only that but also the stacking of holy damage on an already innate holy weapon makes its dps substantially high compared to most split damage weapons, although lightning slash is just better in every way for that, and on the complete opposite side of that spectrum is flaming strike with a bad damage buff but amazing attack.
Saved my ass many times while fighting Malenia, it also looks really good and had an awesome crit modifier, using sacred scorpion charm for more damage and other talismans
any aow or attack that forces your opponent to respond a certain way is great imo. sacred relic sword forces a dodge roll in a lot of circumstances. unless you have enough space to run around the aoe you literally have no choice but to dodge or take massive damage
Golden order and sacred relic sword are amazing while dual wielded. Just pop your physic flask with faith knot and holy cracked tear and you’re getting upwards of 700-800 AR on each sword
Miquelian Knight's sword is the best because you are technically the first person to wield the sword and use it in the lore. It has the same ash as inseparable sword, but the heavy attack is unique to other swords and directly counters Black Knife Assassins
Dude must not have noticed the poise damage and just outright damage of the sacred relic sword. Its good for anything except radagon and the elden beast
The Inseperable Sword does have a nice hidden feat. that can be used against the undead without using the Ash of War. Much like Holy Blade, it can insta-kill any undead soldier and have that much more effect on Undead bosses such as the Deathrite Bird.
Recently I’ve started a holy damage only play through and have come to learn with the proper build the coded sword is pretty good and compared to most of my other weapons is the best scaling and is even holding up well against Morgott and not only that the weapon is very effective against most regular enemies too since it doesn’t bounce off the miner enemies and it’s ash of war is obviously good at crowd control and shielded enemies
As a faith user for 2 years I’d say use flame art/scared knights greatsword or the same scaling for power stance royal straight sword or bandits curved sword I run 60 faith 19 str and 17 dex and I hit for over 600 with normal attacks and over 1200 with weapon art actual faith weapons are niche and kindof all suck having a hood ash of war is always better at least to me
I do love the wave of gold move but I'd rank that sword low too just because you can't get it until you beat the game and then you don't really need it for NG+ it just makes the game more of a cake walk to clear mobs
Lol Those swords are quite good, specially agains undead enemies. Like those stone birds from the dlc, they get destroyed by a single ark of holy. Some of the best faith weapons are Blasphemous Blade Black steel hammer Malikeths blade Michelas blade The new fire Ultra sword Death knights longdhaft axe & Twin axe.

It's an incredibly powerful weapon that does tons of damage and the AoW can stunlock many low poise bosses and NPCs. It's also OP in PvP. However, the weapon is locked behind the Elden Beast remembrance meaning you literally have to beat the game to use it making it basically worthless since in NG+ holy damage is even less useful. It doesn't help it's case that you can get marika's hammer with the same remembrance which is objectively better for boss fights. As for the inseparable sword, it's just bad. The AoW is classified as unique but it's no different from the AoW you get from the scarab behind the physick church meaning you can get the same AoW on a better weapon with whatever affinity you want. For a somber weapon, inseparable sword is one of the worst.
Wave of gold not being great is a wild take. any enemy that's weak to holy, or has ads in its arena will get smoked by wave of gold. in the dlc in destroys putrescent knight and the ghostflame dragons, its also good to keep in the back pocket for metyr to kill her extra hand ads she spawns. eventho this post old asf im tryna save ppl from misinformation who still see it.
The hell wave of gold isn't all that great. It trivialized normal/tough enemies in the DLC for me on NG+. That and the fallingstar beast weapon, which is better against bosses.

I have the thing at +10, and I've noticed if I'm doing STR/FTH build, usually no matter how I allocate my stats, it outpaces, like every other great sword I have, even the others that I have +10. I kinda agree of with the AoW, could have a more unique one, but it is also a much better AoW than some people make it out to be. But then again, I could just be biased. Don't see enough people using it. That's all I'm saying, don't sleep on it
Only problem is that sacred blade can be put on any infusible weapon, so slap it on a banished knight’s greatsword and you’ll have the same unique moveset, slightly more damage and range. You also have the option to go switch it to flame art and put flaming strike on it if you’re facing holy resistant enemies.

My favourite two are the Sword of Night and Flame at no1, Blasphemous blade at no2 and one of the rapier/lance thingy you can get (I can't remember what it's called but I think it's from the post-game in the capital up on the dragon
ATTENTION: if you are doing a faith melee run, ONLY USE SPLIT DAMAGE WEAPONS. If it does pure holy, you’re screwed. Almost all bosses endgame have massive resistance to holy. The final boss, and almost all 5 five bosses before him. If it does physical and holy, you’re fine.

Sacred Blade is also one of the fastest, cheapest, and heaviest hitting bullets in the game that also buffs your weapon. Plus, the Inseparable Sword is one of only 3 weapons in the game with the unique 3-hit combo moveset. For Sacred Relic, I'm not a fan, but it's ash of war fills an entire continent and if nigh undodgeable in both PvE and PvP.
Only issue I have personally with my paladin build (sword and board), throughout the entire game, im damn near untouchable(counter strikes and my haligtree great shield are nasty lol) but certain bosses, the last 2 in particular, habe high holy defenses. Not a big issue, but have to switch up my gear only on the last bosses lol
Use Miquela's sword, the AR is mostly physical and it is tied in reach to the carian knight sword. It also has a unique R2 that is great at roll catching.

I tried playing with faith strength and I used the winged scythe and then I remembered how holy damage is so negligible against a lot of enemies (5 play through btw) so I was sad with the plus 6, so I recommend getting bolt of Gransax and being a dex build (alt account) or just role play guts. (my main account and if u know, u know.)
I beat consort radahn with the coded sword. Cleared the first phase in, no joke, around 10 seconds using the skill and talismans/buffs with 85 faith and in second phase I used the regular light attacks with the repeating miquella ring incantation using the elder tree seal

Inseparable sword may not be a fantastic primary weapon but when you need to deal with skeletons or undead dragons it is my personal go too weapon. Casual 5k on undead without even having the softcaps for scaling AND you don't even need to buff it to keep those skelletonies down.
I don’t know man. Everyone’s opinion is different. But I legit use the sacred relic sword in almost every situation. It clears enemies like crazy. But I’m also super high level. It’s one of my top 3 weapons in the game.
Sacred Blade is a great ash of war, what are you on about. It staggers most enemies at close range and deals a fuck ton of damage, aside from giving you a damage buff for the next minute or so. It also completely decimates Those Who Live In Death, making the annoying death birbs no more than a nuisance. Sacred Blade ftw.

I’m sorry but more people need to give sacred relic sword a bit more credit. I love the sacred relic sword for the fia champions fight since it can hit all three of them sometimes and plus for whatever reason sometimes they dodge when I start the ash of war attack and not when the projectile actually hits them so it usually makes hits a lot easier. I also really like using the sacred relic sword for the commander Niall fight since I can hit all of them with one attack.
You can get the inseparable sword pretty early in the game if you can beat D before you go to Roundtable Hold up by the ruins where you get the turtle talisman
Relic sword is the best weapon in the entire game you can literally walk through the entire game with it as well as farm 1m runes per minute. No contest.

Inseparable sword does more damage if u hit with blade and the light attack is better from other great swords and makes it faster. It’s a good sword for 99 faith
