Oh my goodness! It was so cool, the concepts are now picture perfect in my mind like a mind map... And thank u so much for giving such a lovely orientation for facial nerve in just 5 mins! Awesome!
unlikely as the facial nerve is in the parotid gland, you would have to pierce through the cheek muscles, then the parotid gland in order to illicit injury to the facial n
So thankful I came across this explanation. Really wanted a step-wise breakdown of each component of the facial nerve, and your video was on point (as was your voice). You're awesome!
Thank you very much! I am in physician assistant school at Northern Arizona University. One of my classmates showed us your videos back in our first module of the GI. Your explanation of the hindgut, midgut and foregut were incredibly helpful.
Interesting how the facial nerve passes through the parotid gland but does not enervate it. The internal acoustic meatus is a multi function neuron transmitting portal. Could the corda tympanic nerve assist the tympanic membrane in additional sensory sound transmission? A hitchhiker nerve is also interesting concept for spatial constraints and joint functionality.
Cranial nerve 7 closes your eye, tastes pie, makes you cry, innervates all glands in your head except the one it goes through (parotid).
I love you.
You know you're quite brilliant at teaching when you make it so easy. Thank you, Sir.

dumb question but getting a cheek piercing can make a permanent facial nerve damage?
what are the chances? or how should i avoid it?
I am sorry Zagor I am not familiar with this topic.

God bless you, Dr. Morton. Struggling through anatomy and class lectures don't help. You are my only saving grace 😅
