After moving it you may need to go to Windows>Extension Manager and install it

In older versions you just drop the plugins into the plugin folder in your sketchup diretory. Some plugins may not be compatible with older versions of sketchup.

I'm using Sketchup 8 and the "Install Extension" button is not there, is there any way I can fix this?
Upgrade to a newer version. Some newer plugins may not be compatible with this version. In older versions you just drop the plugins into the plugin folder in your sketchup directory.

I have SketchUp Pro 8. Are plugins available for that version? If yes, how do I go about installing them? I have tried but it opens a webpage which in summary says "error". Will appreciate any help. Thanx.
Plugins are available for Sketchup 8. You must install them using the manual method outlined in this video. That starts around 3:00

There most likely won't be both. But if there is, you may need to. Contact the plugin creator for more information.

how do I install the plugin House builder from ruby library depot I have tried everything. It has a tool that all I have to do is put in the size of lumber and the spacing and it will build a floor frame . do you know of any other plugins that will do this. I am using Sketchup 2015. I have been build walls and joist by constructing it then multiplying it.
The plugin may need to be updated to be compatible with the most recent version of sketchup. Try contacting the plugin creator and asking them to update it.

when I tried to install two extensions LibFredo6.rb and ZLoader RoundCorner.rb I got a "Load Errors" message after restart Sketchup 2014. I moved the files to a different location to the tool file in sketchup and still got the same message. Please Help me, it is very annoying.
I don't know about zloader, but I'm pretty sure fredo is an extension. You need to install it as such.

please help me out .....m not able to run any plugin in my sketchup 2014 pro................I downloaded plugins . rb files .....but m not able to find any plugin folder in program file.......so i myself introduced plugin folder into the folder of sketchup ....even then cant run any plugin....

1001 bit tools works with newer version of sketchup but I would recommend using the extension warehouse to install it.

Designer Hacks I installed it through the extension warehouse. I just installed sketchup 2014. Are there any settings in the program I should be aware of? Brand new to sketchup but can navigate computer fairly well.
This may be a stupid question but the program tells me I have x amount of hours left. I don't want the pro version. Will 2014 version quit working after that time?
Steve Cushman When you download sketchup you get pro for a limited amount of time. After that time expires you can continue to use the program with fewer features. This free version of sketchup is called sketchup make.

Yep! You can use the same rb or rbz files on both PC and Mac

Now I don't know if you've ever heard of house builder in Ruby Depot but been having an aggravating time trying to get it on my 2014 version just can't seem to get it and yes I'm not a great computer guy... They have some conversations about it on Sketchucation but nothing in layman's terms. I don't know if you would be able to do a video on it or describe how to properly do it in layman's terms any help would be very much appreciated, thanks in advance!
The Imperial version not metric... Seems like more of had trouble with the Imperial version which is what I need here in the USA

There are tons of plugins files and many places to download them. Try Smustard, SketchUcation, or Ruby Library Depot. Sketchup also has their own native extension warehouse.

Easy? Podium is probably a little easier. Vray makes beautiful renderings but can be a pain.

click parallel proyection, then export the image on dwg. you must have PRO version for this.
You can export DWG files from sketchup and import it into CAD

Tahir Butt Vray is not installed the same way as traditional plugins and extensions. Contact Vray directly or your redistributor for assistance.
