I've recently reinstalled my copy of Sketchup and gone through and documented all of my plugins (including names with links to download). Look out for an updated video soon with Excel spreadsheet.
13:30 ish is on the newest version of sketchup. you can either keep the over lap, get rid of over lap, break up the three peaces or close off over lapped area, pretty cool.
Making a mirror object is crazy easy in sketchup, no need for a plug-in. The OS coolien (?) is already in sketchup, it's called intersect. works almost exactly the same, fewer steps 11:35
Just a guess, but perhaps the "drama" from the joint-push-pull would be less dramatic if you had finer grained polygonization in the surfaces being jointly push-pulled.
Great collection, thanks. One question regarding how you have grouped your tool collection in one large tool bar, is that another plugin to manage that function. Thanks
Thanks for sharing. Most are useful, some are very useful. The only things that would have made this pack even better is the 'sphere tool' and some sort of plugin that lets you create a rectangle from a center point.
shand seimela There's a link in the description. A similar cutting tool from 13:18 is also in default Sketchup. It's a little buggy. You must have two shapes in the same group, select faces you want to weld together, right click Intersect Faces, clean up extra geometry. I use it all the time. It takes a lil work, cleaning up the extra geometry.
ohhhh i see but i cant access it because im using school wifi which is limited from visiting some website ......can you please download it and email the doc here please thanks
no-one in any of these tutorials seems to know that using the arrow keys aligns whatever you're doing the axes... they all take time trying to move the cursor to the right point to get it to align to the axis they want
@tasmccarthy Top Stuff ! Your really good at explaining the plugins, no waffle, packed with info, very interesting. Dude you should have a career in TV ;) I've downloaded the plugins from your link. Thanks for sharing =@D.
Unzip the files place them in the plugin folder in Sketchup path and restart Sketchup. You should now be able to see your plugins appear under the plugin menu.
awesome list!... I particularly enjoyed soap skin and bubble, like many others I'm sure.. I have installed the plugin, however when I try to use it, a pop-up activates reading "time limit is reached"... does it mean the plugin has expired, or is there a way around such a problem? thanks XD
thanks alot .. i really appreciate it .. but do you have any specific site to download the plugins? i find it a bit complicated to search for each seperately .. thankyou again
thanks man, but i have a prbolem concerning with the OS Coolean plug in, i have 2014 version, well i copied the file .rbs and the folder called Oscar, ok it appears in skp, but it doesn´t do anything, it doesn´t appear the color blue when i am selecting, i even tried to erase the folder oscar leaving the another foldr inside cursor and icon as well as OSC language, but does not work, i also read that might be due to i have round corner plug in, but i do not know really what the problem is.
Can you please tell me where I should copy these plugins to on my Apple Macbook ? I tried the plugin directory, but it does not seem to pick it up from there...? Thanks !
What should I do after unpacking? Should I copy these files to the sketch up folder? I don't know how to install extension other than using RBZ files. Please help :(
I am having so so so much trouble getting OSCoolean (the Boolean tool). I've tried installing several ways and everytime it's messed up. If I extract it as the .rbs file that it is and try to put it in the tools folder, sketchup freaks out with an incomprehensible error message. If I go to preferences and try to install it by finding the file Sketchup seems to think it doesn't exist, it cannot be found. The extension warehouse does not have this extension for some odd reason, considering it seems pretty useful. Can anyone help?
