having trouble adding housebuilder to sketchup 2014 the plugs don't seeem to have the .rb entention they have .plugin as their extention can you help me

i follow your steps, but nothing works with my extension " Instant Roof" or any other one that isn't the work plane tools. That one worked perfectly.. Any thoughts as to why?
hi there, try adding all the files and extensions to the zip file and install them all in one go. one problem you may be having is not having all the files and folders related to your extension in the zip file. I hope that helps.
I did everything you said to do and I get error: Sketchup was unable to install the extension for some unknown reason. Consult your extension documentation for additional help.
Kimber Maietta OK I Know what I did wrong. DO NOT archive it. I re-watched what you did and you sent it to compress to zip. It works better when you do it correctly. Learn from my mistakes! lol
This video was made 2 years ago, it may not work on all plugins. but for the most part it does work. look at the comments. I'm sorry it was not helpful to you.

wellthat may be but sence this vid I have noticed that most all plugins will work if you also zip the dependent file and folders.
Good to know, in my case the one that failled is cloud_v71.rbs / cloud_v8.rbs from D.Bur on the Ruby Library Depot

does the plugin have any dependency It may need python installed or it works off an engine. You may need to install those to. Hope that helps.
