“you make the statement, it feels, i feel, that there is a discontinuity in Awareness. yes. question, what feels that? there must be something during the discontinuity that feels the discontinuity.” “then it’s an inference, it’s not an experience”. “on what basis do you infer a discontinuity of Awareness?” “how do you realize you were unAware?” because i was unconscious, lolol…..❤
Probably why Shankara is supposed to have said "By Nirvakalpa Samadhi the truth of Brahman is clearly and definitely realized, but not otherwise, for then the mind being unstable by nature, is apt to be mixed up with other perceptions"
Consciousness seems to have many different locations: - In the mind - In the body - In the heart - In the world - In our beliefs - In our thoughts - In our roles in life No wonder we have so much difficulty finding ourselves as consciousness keeps shifting from one location to another. After years of searching the heart is now my home.
@melissag9685 Agree, they do appear in consciousness, but we can choose where our consciousness resides. In our mind, our body, our intellect or in our material status or in our heart.
@melissag9685 The consciousness of many people is locked in their physical appearance, their bodies, their suffering, their status, and their intellectual pursuits. Others are lost in their own thoughts and dreams. I do believe that we have a choice and it is important to recognise where our consciousness dwells.
Yes, as long as there is consciousness it must be continuous. Simply because you cannot experience the absence of consciousness. If there ever was or will be an absence of consciousness, you will never know it. Therefore, as long as we are alive there is only continuous consciousness and nothing else. Because if there ever was an objective world out of consciousness, we could never verify it. Therefore, as far as we could ever know there is only (one - infinite) consciousness.

All those "locations" are actually appearing in Consciousness -- not the other way around.

There is only one infinite Consciousness, and I AM THAT.
