@5:36 I love this. It’s true. We tend to “fall asleep” when we get caught up “in the dreaming” of our thoughts, and then, we paint the world with that perspective instead of… perhaps… just breathing, and witnessing our senses without the incessant background noise of egoic patterns of thought.

This was a great video. The key to freedom from suffering awareness of being. Rupert communicates this well. I love watching Rupert and Bernardo. It is always illuminating.

Thank you all. I could say much in favor of all the sharing, but I will focus on Rupert's insights at 1:09. I was given an experience that I was not seeking at a time when I thought I had returned to an in-depth adherence to reductionist-materialism (my cultural heritage and academic training) that yet still encompassed a stripped-down meditation (secular mindfulness). I was out of the blue given formulated words that were not by auditory sensation but which registered as a voice not my own in my left-parietal lobe (and with a remarkable sense of humor): "You know that thing about 'Love your enemies'? I meant that." I responded with (literally), "WTF! I thought I was over that!" But I then searched the teaching and attempted a consistent practice of focused meditative 'prayer' to that end, and finally took on the high profile political person I found most injurious. In the middle of that session practice i suddenly experienced my consciousness inside that person, and I realized in that moment that I actually understood that person's condition better than the person did; that they person was miserable in being divided from true self and was lost in egoic rage. I felt compassion for the person's condition without feeling any need to release my discernment that the person was perpetrating error. When the meditative state ended, I barked angrily at the Source and Guide of the experience, ""WTF! I did not sign on for that!" And a chuckled ping returned to me, "Oh yes you did!" This directive is now my passion, despite the fact that it gets little traction even among the keepers of the text which most famously champions it.

Beautiful. Like many, I connected with Rupert first, but Bernardo bridged the gap for me over the years, thank you guys. That said, Id like to add this:
Many speak of compassion but still eat animals or animal products. By doing so, they are responsible for causing immense and unnecessary suffering to other beings. Eating animals is beyond cruel, wastes food and land, and is one of the biggest contributors to CO2 emissions and climate change today. Healthy, easy alternatives exist. Going vegan and speaking up for the animals is the least we can do. Been vegan for 11 years now, only whish i did it sooner.

I recommend this conversation. It's quite profound and starts to paint a picture about the nature of consciousness, reality, and the eternal witness that resides in all of us. As I also discuss on my channel, even hellish NDEs tend to have a positive impact on the lives of those who have them.

Is it possible that we one day could live in a world where all the minds operate based on these knowledge??
Or maybe we do already and most of the people are just not aware of it??
And what difference does it make?

RS describes the ego as a mixture of pure consciousness with thoughts, feelings, sensations.
I suggest that the one infinite awareness, being one and single, projects its singleness onto the mind, forming the ego, so rather than being a mixture (because the one consciousness cannot mix with anything) the mind rather tries to imitate the One. This projection of singleness onto creation could be the very thing that is responsible of creating multiplicity, forming seemingly unique and separate entities. Ego death could then be the tracing back of the projection to its source.

Finally ! The meta c’ness thing is getting clarified .. so c’ness without an object is the basis or ‘ base’ of being and how we, as individual humans, were before we developed the capacity to be meta conscious i.e before we developed a separate self called an ego ?

1:49:30 @bernardokastrup : suggestion from a daimon: MAL 'harvests' only our conscious aware experiences (looking at one's own behavior from an impersonal point of view...) that's why nature evolves towards greater consciousness... Which is represented on our desktop as the expansion of the universe.

@@stevenmorris5562 UA-cam channels like this depend on midroll advertising to make money. It is one of the hardest decisions that UA-camrs need to make and a channel like this with fewer subscribers depends on that income to be able to continue the hard work that they do to make this content basically free for people. As viewers we have the option of paying the channel with watching advertisements or we can sign up for UA-cam premium and that also pays the channel and we don't have to watch ads. Either way it is a pretty good deal to have access to this content.

13:22 I find the act of awaring has no quality, other than an assumed receptivity to information. Any quality I say it has would only be referencing something I am aware of, not the awaring itself.
I wonder if awareness is a verb, not a state, in that awareness implies an awareness of something. And if it's an ability then I am genuinely curious that the ability gets confused for our 'true self'. Because as a human being I'm not a static thing but instead a process, my ability to be aware of an arm or a feeling that may be here one moment and gone the next doesn't seem to necessarily mean I am not that arm or feeling. Me as a process am all of it at any point in time. I think of Earth, and how it looks so different now than it did a million years ago. And yet I wouldn't say that wasn't earth back then, because I know that the term 'earth' embodies the whole, no matter what that whole is at the moment I say the word.

    • @ISAM.001

awareness is certainly a verb, this is all a verb not a noun…what a beautiful way of looking at it. Whatever is happening, what ever we all actually are, whatever this all actually is certainly is changing, the only things that don’t are dead. It is clearly living still as a verb. Not sure if I made any sense but I rly resonate w the way u described these things w the analogies you used

Perhaps this may be useful regarding "outrage" -- it is based on feeling a "separate self" that believes that all is not exactly as it should be. When that separation drops off, then one recognizes "not my will, but Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven". It is all the Infinite, having It's Way. 😮
