there is some compression on YT, but I have experienced very little grain or noise on mine with shooting under water or above water. Impressive, especially given it's price point.
We don't need a plastic even a thick one, around the lens, we need a cover that completely covers the lens. For a camera said to be rugged, waterproof and schockproof, the lack of a cover is an VERY obvious design flaw. And the sight of the camera without a lens cover, buried in the sand, is absolutely ridiculous.
Could u use this to replace the Sony Action Cam that people use with the LiveU and stream with the camera? What about using the wifi on it to connect to the belabox to stream with? nice little camera
I took it to replace a cheap Xiaomi Action cam with sony sensor I always carried on for snorkeling few years ago. If you are looking to get longer battery life, better focusing and you are ok to have only full HD quality it is a worth upgrade. I don't know how good a Sony action cam can be but if you check among the playlists in my profile you can see what actually the WPZ2 is capable of
yes but it has a very limited angle of viewing and a very short time before energy saving/ dark if you are not continously video recording so in the end I am doing snorkeling with the camera more like I used to do with a screenless action camera and shot more by faith than using the screeen to compose
Your example photos look super grainy. Is that true to the camera quality or is it a post-processing compression problem?
I looked up 'Kodak Waterproof WPZ2 photos' on google, they seem to be better than this grainy poop. Just bad video editing i think

Because you can change it. By just twist it and len cover can open.

as Ted said, no, but the plastic around the lens seems pretty thick, so as long as you don't drop it on a point, it should be fine

jpeg. I'm not aware of any compact water proof camera that shoots in RAW. Excellent camera and surpasses many costing 2-3x more.
