I could see a music video where a man is lost out on a boat in the middle of the ocean trying to survive a massive storm. The song itself is almost structured like a hurricane with the calm part being the eye and the builds ups associating with the inner and outer walls.

I think the situation with Brandon is a love hate relationship. He keeps coming and going because of musical differences (afaik) What they play now isnt quite the same as what they used to play when they first started out which is what Brandon wanted i think. *Inspire* was a very powerful EP and I honestly listened the shit out of that EP but the 2 albums that came after that was nowhere near as good.
they are great musicians but I dont like the direction they went in. Id rather go listen to some Intervals, Periphery, Tesseract , Whitechapel or Animals As Leaders even
he eanted to follow a different direction than the band so they parted ways. Twice.

Compositionally, I'm loving the new jams! Sounds as if they're really coming into their own and starting to develop a signature sound without compromising any creativity, but at the same time I feel as though this whole album has been over-compressed to the point where there is little to no dynamic edge and that's a real bummer :/
With that being said, it could partially be from UA-cam and not necessarily the production

I feel like the mix on this album is really weird. Especially the drums.
+Psylo Productions that kick drum is leading the mix too much imo...the lack of vocals means some other things take the foreground though i suppose. My thought has been that there is too much compression on the overall mix with the kick just pushed out in front of it all to make the tracks feel 'bouncy'.
