This game would be a lot more fun if it were 100 v 100. Half the time when I play, I will only spot a few soldiers the entire game. The other half I'm diced into 37 flesh chunks by artillery. Granted I've never been a sniper and looking down the iron sights is hardly useful to spot enemies that might be firing 300 yards down range, so this seems fun.
The game would be unplayable from ping issues.
Just gotta be patient and understanding the game can realistically go an hour or more. The people who never see anyone generally are always trying to run to a spot or cover the wrong spots.
@VIK If it were a modern game, sure, because we don't use traditional military forces anymore. Hundreds of thousands of troops landed in France on D-Day alone, not including the two million more that crossed the English Channel, the casualties just on Omaha beach were over 10,000.

First video I've seen by you but blown away, the trigger discipline is impeccable. Only got about 10 hours in the game and haven't managed to play Sniper yet but this makes me want to so bad.
playing medic is also fun but with a mic just hearing everyone call out MEDIC!!!!!!! it feel so real lol i love this game
i havnt been able to play in the last 2 months due to nerve damage in my fingers... Respect how well you play. Hope to get back one day.

2:43 Those type of deaths were always my favorite playing campaigns, where they were programmed to fall off a building or bridge or something. I wish some games would find a way to do that in online gameplay, rather than RNG like that one was.
I've shot a guy off a building on the Stalingrad map...only happened once and he was sniping from the top floor of a partially bombed out building...I think I saved the clip

99% of the time I can't load in as a sniper because it's already taken. 1-2 snipers a game or something. Kind of a let down with the game. So most of the time I have to use the classes nobody wanted in the first place.
Rifleman is still plenty fun, easy 70+ kills once you learn the game

Alpine, what headgear do you use? Either mine suck or HLL audio settings have a new bug. I used to be able to hear people's footsteps easier. Now it is more difficult to hear. I also have to reset my mic settings each match now. Which makes SL and commanding that more difficult. Makes me wonder if something else is going on in the game's audio settings now. Great!
I had a set of Corsair which weren’t great for positional sounds but recently got some new Audeze and they are amazing

Man i finally got into a recon squad last night as the sniper and it was on fricken Ramagen at night with fog. Literally couldnt even see 1/4 way down the bridge, couldnt see the bridge at all from 2 full grid squares away.

Except for when the arty team is actually a decent shot. Especially if they’re a sl. At which point most of the time the recon team is still doing their job. Flushing out snipers takes time. Time that could be spent on arty getting 30 plus kills
I enjoy doing what you do but with an LMG. I pop one bullet at a time while bipodded and if i miss i get no wait time between bullets. I can shoot as fast as i can pull the trigger without losing my sight.

I might have to get this. I have a beefy rig and post scriptum seems to be just locked at 💩 frames for me. Almost like the game went backwards in performance since I played it. This looks better as of right now
I've always wanted to go sniper in HLL, never managed to get the spot.
I'd love a game exactly like HLL but in an era where we have sights on guns, all those iron sights guns, it is so difficult to spot enemy for me. I play a lot of DayZ so probably spoiled with scopes and sights.
that's my main issue, I can't shoot for shit down iron sights :(

I recently got this game it’s fun to play and been wanting to play sniper class but don’t know how to when I create a recon unit I become a spotter and try to choose sniper clans but doesn’t let me is there a certain lvl I need to be or do I have to lvl up my spotter class to unlock sniper class?
The second person to join gets the sniper role, it’s best to make friends with someone who will save you a spot lol
Sniper is the best class in my opinion for this game.
It's just giving you virtually all advantages... Cringe worthy imo, an annoying nuisance that are usually just a waste for the team.
It's annoying that if you create a recon squad you can't be the sniper, and whenever anyone else creates a sniper squad they lock it and won't let you join.
Love this game...but it has gotten so bad lately, it jumps around u cant hit players right in front of u...glad I downloaded arama reforger

Ive played Red Orchestra 2 I love the game. It allows me to switch between scope and irons. But its so clunky the controls and not like hell let loose or any of the more recent games sadly.
But jeez christ those long snipes without any like range finding or any of the modern snipers have you bascially have to guess how high to aim
