Aside from obvious polishing, hopefully they change how EX actions and option parts work. GB3 had it nailed but from it looks like we’re taking a step back with the universal cooldown. On the other hand combat seems much more refined Praying that this isn’t their most recent build or that they push out to a late fall or early winter release
I didn’t notice any bugs when I played the Network test but I do think having separate cooldowns on the different optional tabs would be a great change for the game
@@CoercitioYT Personally I think they should’ve just taken GB3 combat and expanded upon it but they might not have been able to 1-1 copy it since GB4 seems to be built on the same engine NGB was and GB3 was not
@@direaspect4221 Bruh, I had the same thought when I first saw the dev stream. I like everything so far it feels different enough from GB3 that it feels like I have to learn a new game which will be fun. I think they have abilities that lower the optional cooldown but I have to check today
@@direaspect4221 In all honnesty, trading the energy system for a cooldown system isn't a bad thing by itself, but a GLOBAL colldown makes not only the gameplay slower and less energetic than necessary, it does limit the attraction for multiple weapons...
@@jean-bastienjoly5962 Sadly, when you give players the option to have 8 option parts, but they can only use 1 at a time, they will just use the 1 best part on repeat, making the other 7 obsolete - possibly they'll use a 2nd one to differenciate ranged/melee situations, but I doubt a 3rd slot would ever come into play unless you force yourself to try and vary things up. Very bad change imo, and thankfully everyone is very vocal about it (from what I see, it's the #1 negative thing everyone's talking about), so here's to hoping for a change.

Hmmm, so far it’s tempting for me to get it. I’m still playing Gundam breaker 3 on my PS4 that I got this year as a surprise birthday gift. But I am looking forward to this game
After seeing the trailer and gameplay from network test, ho boy i'm so hyped for this game. The battle is quite fast and fluid, the ability to have different left and right arm, melee and gun, the much more ”free" customization where we can scale the parts, etc. So far the game look good and eventhough it might have some negative, i'm sure the game will be good enough, especially compared to NGB. i just hope we can get a release date soon, they said it's 2024, but i hope it's either May, June or July, perfect time for summer *i think*. My friend joke that they'll released it on December because, hey it's still 2024, but please don't, i can't wait that much longer. Hahaha
Yessir the customization is definitely steps up from any Breaker game being able to remove parts is a huge plus as well for aesthetics, they said in the Nintendo Direct that the game would come out first half of 2024 hopefully that was facts lol
So excited we are getting a new one and thanks for showing this off. Though I need to ask, when you use any additional parts or ex skills all slots go on cool down? If so how does that feel as a whole for combat since you can't save it for one large burst?
sure hope you can still pull of the trick to get rid of the full armor unicorn gundams 'fuel tanks' (like you could in GB3 [= gettign rid of em for a good while]) o-o as I kinda hate those with a passion 😳😅

Here's a question tho, Are you able to stack say...Trans Am and Wings of Light together? Because In GB2 I had a build that did that, and it was quite literally the fastest suit in the game with permanent uptime on the boost due to constant EX gauge recharge.
Both of those have been in since Breaker 2, so I seriously doubt they won't return. Probably also helps that we already saw Epyon wings in the first trailer.
I guess the transformation is only for the parts that can do it like unicorn and Trans-Arms right? Can you do a transformation like in GB2 by pressing L3+R3?
It wasn’t in the Network Test but they did show the Burst transformations in the trailer. Yeah it seems that EX Skills are perma locked to your build now. In Breaker 3 you can use NT-D with a Wing Zero build but it doesn’t look like that will be the case in Breaker 4 which I’m Lowkey fine with because grinding for EX skills takes a while

@@azurefk9213 Yup, they only had Shield Bits in the Network Test but in the full game, I'd imagine we get Funnel Rack, C-Funnels from Age-FX, Fang Funnels if Arche is in, and maybe even more if they've added more builders parts
Sadly i didn't get to play much but I tried the open network test on the Switch and, yeah, i'm looking forward to this even more now. I had an odd mashup of Nu Gundam's Legs, Gundam's arms, Zeta's head, Sazabi's backpack for the beam funnels ,and Guntank's torso for the cannons.
GB4 looks amazing. We're so back. I do think its interesting to see the cooldown system. Now I know a lot of people are bothered by it, but I actually like it. In GB3 you almost never used your actual weapons and just cycled through optional part skills since they was always at least one off cooldown at any moment. In GB4, I think we'll be using our main melee/ranged weapon combo strings a lot more while having optional parts be a lot more impactful when we do pop them off.
Honestly way I see it as it relates to the EX & OP changes from how 3 worked it reminds me a little too much of NGB for comfort. So far as we've seen of Gundam Breaker 4 though since this isn't the full release as of yet at worst this and whatever else may have changed would still put it a step up from New Gundam Breaker. And I still have GB3:BE to play around with in the event of a particular bad turn should it happen somehow.

In the context here, we only have 2 Exia variants What’s really questionable is that apart from Season 1 units, the entire Celestial Being set is never accounted for S2 doesn’t have Arios (despite GN Archer being here) and Seravee/Seraphim Movie doesn’t have Raphael/Seravee II A lot more could’ve been here, Reborna, Gadessa, Garazzo, the Tieren, Brave, Masurao, Enact, the Flag, or the Thrones, but I’m willing to be they will come as DLC

I'm not super enthused that your option parts look like they're all on a singular cooldown, that would make things significantly less fun if you want to make a suit bristling with weapons.
Yeah I do think they should give each optional tab it's own cooldown if they are all going to share a cooldown 8 optional skills sharing a cooldown doesnt seem very fun in the endgame
They actually had different cooldowns for each option weapon in GB2-3, wonder why they changed it. I was having fun running my full missile spam build lmao.
Since SD gundams are gonna be more present in this game I would hope they add the transformation gimmick for "real" mode like the star winning gundam had from build fighers try

Man I'm in work and can't watch atm but can you please confirm if we can use the builders parts as pieces of gear again? It was a damn sin in NGB where they removed their functions (ya know, GRENADES etc) and just made them into stat boosters
I played a ton last night, really enjoyed it. Very much feels more in line with 3, that said my only real nitpick were the targeting being kind wonky, the universal cool down on options and the camera. I did eventually find the camera options so that made things MUCH better and I hope the tweak the targeting. I'll get use to options so overall yeah I'm 100% on board.
Aye, thats about the same take I had as well. I also didnt like the auto homing seems to be nerfed when melee'ing but that could be due to lack of boost speed and movement speed stats
The melee combat looks so smooth in this game, I hope there will be other melee weapons like chains, whips, or just using our fists like the build burning gundam
they seem to give damage boosts and other buffs as well, whenever I transform I see a bunch of buffs beneath my health bar but I have no idea what they are lol

As a 10+ year PS owner, I can confirm Sony is very stingy on allowing cross play. Do not expect Bandai to win this fight should it even be one of their ambitions.
i don't think they will straightly give you the juicy gundams like nu, unicorn, and so on it's still network test, and could be, full release at then end of the year or early, and if we look at previous gundam breaker games, we need to climb to get to the juicy suits so
You could be right, the missions we did didn't seem to be tied to the story it seemed like a separate mode altogether. We probably will get some of those suits early though like F91 since that was also a early suit in GB3

I’m not sure about Barbatos we only had access to about 6-10 suits in the CNT, but we’re still limited to only one of each part atm

Hope burst is in and the music changes if you use a transform ex skill and burst always loved that.
