It's not just growth, it's about length retention!!
edited to add **just**, FYI, I am not ignoring scalp health, but hair growth is genetic. Some people's hair grows faster than others.
There are remedies to have to retaining hair from hair loss and routines to help with length retention and scalp health.

Which can seem very challenging. I think this why people say growth versus retention. You’re right she’s right we just saying it differently. Personal opinion

Correct, length retention. The only time hair isn’t growing is when there’s baldness.

I think it’s about BOTH scalp health/length retention.

@@APBeauty11 your hair is always growing, scalp health is important, but growth is genetic in terms of how fast your hair grows. So retaining length is why most struggle with being stuck their hair being at the same length for years even though their hair is always growing.
I should have just commented, "it's not JUST growth but its about length retention" .

Wow im currently trying to regrow my hair after it fell out around 2022-2023 and you made me realize when I had the most growth was when I did braid outs as well.2022-2023 i stopped doing braid outs and started blow drying my hair constantly because I wanted to see my length immediately. I also was using mielle which was giving me giant locs i had to cut out. Im going to go back to braid outs and weekly washes. Also you are seriously gorgeous!

I’m a braid out girlie too. As my hair got longer, I just don’t have the patience for wash and gos anymore. With the braid outs, I keep it more detangled.

Thanks so much for being so transparent about your hair journey. ESP about any setbacks. But this brings me to ask what did you do for your skin? It is apparently much lighter today than when you were younger. What did you do girl?!

@@janturner4585 Hi thank you ☺️. I didn’t do anything to my skin, I used to play a lot of sports outside as a kid so I just got lighter with age

Beautiful hair. Can you give details about your braid outs? When you braid it, how long do you keep it braided before you take it out? And how often do you redo it?

Is it her makeup that has changed her skin complexion? Her skin is way lighter than all of her pics. I'm a light skin chick, and this looks weird to me.🤷🏽‍♀️

She was young and in school. Probably doing PE daily. Plus she’s from Los Angeles. If youre outside in LA youre getting roasted.

First off she's facing a circle lamp for video recording at optimal clarity. She also looks her natural skin tone outside of a sun tan which is obvious in her younger pictures. Lastly, the better the camera quality over the years the more accurate the skin tone. She is brown skinned. All of us brown skinned women swing the same variations of color as her.

Usually as a child your skin is darker from being outside she's grown now she's probably not getting that much sun it's normal

I was much browner as a kid because I was outside playing all the time. Not to mention the intentional tanning in my teen years.
