A classic car hero. Anybody can be passionate about Ferarri, Lamborghini and Porsche but those that keep and restore the lesser classics are car heroes.
Engineered cars for Engineers!!!!!.. The most in "Tecnical Finesse"!!!!... V4 and front wheel drive, all in one Awesome machine Lancia Fulvia!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Adam Figueroa: Greetings from El Salvador, land of your old race track. There´s a new vintage category; and of course, the Alfa guys are still running hard.
still can't... most modern cars are engineered by people who studied in italy... for example the new line of lotus cars. the head engineer was the guy who designed the 458 ferrari and the new ceo came from ferrari too
Lancia Gamma Coupè - have a look at it, and compare it with a Ferrari 412 or 400. A lot underrated in the classic market. You can find them around for 4k € in very good shape, and mint at round 8-10k.
TheRealUnconnected Do not buy any Lancia after Beta coupe, because those Lancias since Beta are terribly made. I owned a 1976 Lancia Beta coupe in 1980, I sold it 2 months later because the car was terribly made. The body panels rusted prematurely because using steel plates from Russia(FIAT engaged barter trade with Russia with dated FIAT 124(the Russia taxis in Jason Bourne series) assembly lines for Russian steel plates with too much carbon inside resulting prematurely rust). The Beta was designed by Pininfarina with graceful body, however, with a FIAT engine inside along with the craftsmanship during Mafia era, the management dared not to manage the factory floors. Not until 1983 the murder of Attorney General Falcone by Mafia with bombs mined on his way home did Italian government start the sweep of organized crime, even the chancellor of ruling party then, Andreotti, was found guilty of collaborating with organized crime. The owner family regained the control of the mother company Iveco and started robotic automation with new cars of stable quality, however, they seems to lose the interest in classic cars. Those Lancia(Thema, Dedra,..) after then seems to lose the elegance and grace of previous Lancias.
Lovely! I am lucky enough to have a Series 1 and now a series 2 as well. The Fulvia is a beautiful little car built in an era where passion was a factor not making things down to a price.
I prefer the first series as it didn't have the Fiat cost cutting influence, (and it had the oh so cool, click click push start). Saying that, the second series is a better car. Larger engine, five speed box etc. The third series lost the plot with emission control and green carpet!
Pelle d'oca.
its true what this guy says. i have owned and driven 3 different type of ferraris and other german exotic cars. my fulvia 1969 is the most fun and enjoyable car i have ever driven, the fulvia is unique.
This small sports car has all the right boxes checked for looks, that today sell cars to enthusiast. Type Rs, Yaris GR, Cobalt SS even...it doesn't have to be big, to be fast and enjoyable!
the lovely things about these classics is that all the cars from each country were not designed for others an italian car was designed for italy and nowhere else. And the proof of that is who the engines were and still are. very small and very high revving and very powerful. And this point is in the fulvia exactly. This car was in the porsche price range at the time and it was more pricey than an e type but if you looked at it you'd never think that. And in the day in HF form it showed up the porsches and the jags on tracks and rally stages. Of course those 6 cyl rivals had higher top speeds but unless you're at lemans top speed doesn't matter. Its about acceleration and handling and this car destroyed its rivals....
The fact that the Fulvia was in Porsche and E type range price is not entirely true. You have to consider that in the '60s in Europe custom duties accounted for a large part of a car price. so actually, whereas in England a Fulvia cost as much as an E Type, in 1966 in Italy an E Type cost as twice as much as a Fulvia. Given that, and the fact that I would eagerly take a pristine E type in my garage, on a slippery, wet mountain road or worse still when it comes to ice and snow I' d take my old Fulvia all the way.
TheIhateSUVschannel where as thats true. The prices for lancia cars back then was way higher than they were in later years. Back then the cars were all hand made and they would be until the fiat deal of 69-70. Because of the way they were produced they were very expensive and because of that they were just as much money as the porsche and jaguar. the lancia was also not mass produced and they were made like ferraris of the time. you placed an order, and it wasn't mass produced and then sold making these cars rare. They would produce the car and deliver it after an order would be placed. However the pricing for these cars varied as they had six models per each model line (i.e fulvia bertone) that car was more expensive than any porsche or jaguar at the time due to the simple construction. however on an actual track the cars could actually deliver on the price tag
Hello fellow car lovers, I have the opportunity to owned and still own 14 Lancias, and have personally seen from Lambda, aprilia,Aurelia, and many more models in the pass 8 American Lancia reunions in the western states, I have not seen one break down. Of Corse this cars are well maintain by their owners, there is NO Car brand since the invention of the car in the 1800’s that can clearly state that has won 11 world rally championships only Lancia. So reliable seems to have being proven.
Dick Murphy Don't waste you money on Beta even though it is designed by Pininfarina with graceful body lines. I owned a 1976 Beta coupe in 1980 for Lancia's reputation as "Italy's Rolls-Royce" and was conned. I sold it 2 months later. The body panels rusted through prematurely for using Russian steel plates through barter trade with dated FIAT 124(those Russian taxis in Jason Bourne movies) assembly lines. The electric wiring and harness were terribly laid, so you always got warning lights on randomly on your panel during long trip no matter how thoroughly you did your check-up before departure. Worst of all, the power windows would not come up when you park your car at arrival, in other words, you either stuck with you car or had to find a watcher kind enough to keep an eye on your window-opened car from prying eyes. Lancia was thoughtful enough to provide car owner with a hand crank to roll up the window, however, you could not escape the terrain shower in your trip. I believe that those Betas after 40 years till now you would need an umbrella inside the car in rainy days. Wish you good luck should you decide to go on for a Beta.
My Italian friend from Milano pronounced it Lansha, or close to that. The brits called it Larn-sea-a when I lived there and most Americans (in American now) have not even heard of the brand.
I think Lancia it was one of the best cars productor in the world, i know ferrari is more famous, more fast and i like ferrari, but lancia have something special.
Such beautiful cars, and history....and you look at lancia today, and wonder if someone was drunk or on drugs at the corporate meeting where they decided what to do with lancia for the 21 century
The Lancia brand has so much potential, that it would be stupid by Fiat to let it die. But unfortunately it seems that Lancia is really dying :( All it took is to develop a new and good interpretation of the Fulvia and the Delta (a decent one) with the same FWD basis (they could use the Giulleta rolling chassis, which is a very nice one) and sales would go off the roof! And we would have our beloved Lancia back on the game.
Well Able things have change a lot since 1992 and now El Salvador is one of the best Central American countries that promote clean racing, and street touring events. You may have being there at the wrong time, and wrong places we are the only country that have a complete race track since 1979. Check this out.
Adan, nice to put a face to the name . Great cars great vid! Keep up the good work. Those of u interested in this great little engine google 0 one makes v4 engines

Lancia fulvia series 1 1966 -1969 the best car I've ever seen
A classic car hero. Anybody can be passionate about Ferarri, Lamborghini and Porsche but those that keep and restore the lesser classics are car heroes.
God, i can't really put into words how much i love the Fulvia, it's so gorgeous, so unique, so passionate, so italian! 😍
Adan, you really do understand what makes classic Lancias special! A proper connoisseur.

I owned. Fulvia Coupe and really loved driving it.
Lancia, la beauté et l'élégance de l'Italie #SaveLancia
Totally agree with you the Italians were the best in the world on making beautiful cars in the 60s 70s nobody could match.
still can't... most modern cars are engineered by people who studied in italy... for example the new line of lotus cars. the head engineer was the guy who designed the 458 ferrari and the new ceo came from ferrari too
OvermarsDaria not only 60s and 70s

You are on the right track...Lancia and Alfa Romeo Pre 1974. just the best cars.
@@mrseaweed5587 haven’t got there yet 9 years later but a friend did once buy a fulvia HF which I got the pleasure of riding in several times.
Lovely! I am lucky enough to have a Series 1 and now a series 2 as well. The Fulvia is a beautiful little car built in an era where passion was a factor not making things down to a price.

Lovely car. Lancia Fulvia is always very attractive rival of Alfa Romeo Giulia coupe.
Very Nice!
Let's hope Lancia will survive...
Without question one of the greatest cars of all time.
I love to see such passion & the preservation of truly special marque! Bravo Mr. Figueroa!

Fulvia was the last Lancia still up to her reputation, Lancia was ruined since Beta during Mafia era.
Chapeau for your videos, short, yes, but with amazing quality and full of passion and emotion. Keep them coming, please!

Please Save Lancia !
Yes.
Holy shit what is that song in the intro? I really want to learn it. I tried to shazam it but nothing came up.
+Berksmash have you found it? I'm still trying to find it. thx.
This small sports car has all the right boxes checked for looks, that today sell cars to enthusiast. Type Rs, Yaris GR, Cobalt SS even...it doesn't have to be big, to be fast and enjoyable!
Lancia is special, I own one...and I am just sad, because Lancia will always be the peak of automotive industry, thats just the fact!
Love lancia's. Gotta get one just to use in the summer. Driving modern shite is bad for my car soul.
what is the song at the beginning?

My Flavia 2000 coupé was made at Pininfarina, don't think the FIAT deal changed that, when they skipped the Flavia name, but not sure
A dream ...
Man that's such a pretty little car.
"They break very beautifully..." hahahaha
prick
Too bad about the ".com" advertising on the paint.
+Petrolicious can you make a video about a mercury 8 form the fifites?

Dick Murphy they rust like nothing else and there are better ones

Top Gear's (UK) favourite car too.
Es LanCia,not Lansia.
It's not freaking Spanish.
ombra306 lanchia para los que hablan español , yeah the c is pronounce different in Italian
[Try "lant-cha", then progressively kill the "t".]
My Italian friend from Milano pronounced it Lansha, or close to that. The brits called it Larn-sea-a when I lived there and most Americans (in American now) have not even heard of the brand.
Lawnchia

BRAVO ti apprezzo molto. ciao.

Bye, thank you for the video
I think Lancia it was one of the best cars productor in the world, i know ferrari is more famous, more fast and i like ferrari, but lancia have something special.
if you are in love with Lancia you should know is pronounced like "lunch" + A, Lancia! Is just one word, not difficult ;)
Such beautiful cars, and history....and you look at lancia today, and wonder if someone was drunk or on drugs at the corporate meeting where they decided what to do with lancia for the 21 century
WHOW...!
Lancia was a great company, until fiat messed it up.

can anyone help me with the song from the begining
being unreliable is a part of the experience of owning classic cars
"I love the pininfarina bodies, so I put some stickers on it to advertise a website."
I think he meant change from straight ahead to turning.
Are Fulvias fwd?

When I lived in Edmonton north London the petrol garage at the top of the road had a lance a parked for about 5years he would not sell it after a time I offered £400 pounds and he said yes when I went to get the car it was nicked from there for court gutted gutted I am still looking
Like lancia is blue and her name meaned italian pretty
Emm reliability really
Actually modern small Chryslers are a rebadged Lanica.
not the fulvia though. it was really a reliable car. not so much today cause everything is so old yeah over time things do go but back in the day it was know to be reliable
My favourite cars brand...unfortunately actually Lancia is almost dead...no future for the creatures of Vincenzo Lancia... :(
the same way you spell CHIcago you can spell LanCIa,i noticed most spell it lansia.
E cosa abbiamo adesso? Una Lancia Ypsilon
Oh, no, dude why?! It is 'Lancha' not 'Lansia'.
other way round
He would be very sad because Lancia nowadays is just rebadging of chrysler.
I need alot of money to fulfill my dreams
It's "LANCIA", not "LANTIA", for god's sake.
It's actually pronounced Lan-Ch-ya.
Jack Shepherdson more like _Lantchah_
You are right, Marco. Just think about "Lunch" and you are almost there :)
Maybe that's the Spanish pronunciation.
most reliable? what? Nice car though
brake* ;) haha
Passion isn't reliable......
