The Coke in Mexico is much better than the US. My cousin and his friend used to go there just for the Coke. But then they got caught and ended up doing a 15 year bid in federal prison.
That’s not how the government works buddy

I’m from Mexico and it’s an honor for us that people from other countries like our food and culture, I hope you can return soon.
I am from Bulgaria and I love Mexican food and culture! I am told lots of people like our food and culture in Mexico too :D
Personally I don’t give fck if people from other countries like our food or not. I already know it’s great, if they want to enjoy it, cool they are welcome, if not ? Their lost 🤷🏽♂️. Mexican food is not great because a bunch of foreigners say it’s good, it’s good because a million other reasons and I know that I sound arrogant, but it’s true.

Guga as a general rule in México about steaks we all know this.
North México is for steaks.
South México, traditional food and guisados.
As a northern mexican ive learned to never order a steak anywhere outside the North
North Mexico steaks are better than South Mexico but still very trash compared to say Brazilian or Argentinian steaks
The culture just isn't there, Mexican business class doesn't have refined plate for steak like Brazilians or Argentinians.
Cattle quality isn't there either Mexico got the worst mix of cattle from the states and from South America, Brazilian and Argentinian cattle are very tasty compared.
Hay carne deliciosa en todo Mexico.......no invente😂😂😂
@@debodatta7398sos un fanfarron😂😂
@@debodatta7398 todo pendejo 😂
good to know, thanks
For the best mexican meat dishes, you need to come to the northern states, especially Sonora, Chihuahua or Nuevo Leon. Carne asada, cabrito, chorizo and steaks are staples in these regions, amongst many other meats. There is a more prevalent grilling and vaquero culture here somewhat analagous to the argentinian asado and gauchos for reference.
Every place in Mexico is a good place for excelent food. Except the CDMX, there's only guajolotas and esquites with chicken feet.
Several Cenotes is an understatement! There’s more than 6000!, and there are exclusive to the Yucatan Peninsula! Next time you come around, just ask any of your Yucatan followers (which let me tell you, we are plenty!) and we’ll point you to the ones that have very little to none people son you can have a truly immersive experience! Great video and glad you enjoyed our beautiful Yucatan!
Also, el Meson del Marques is the last Restaurant I’ll recommend to a visitor from another country is mostly for tourism, when we are around that area is a good place to take breakfast or have a beer before leaving to other place if you are staying in the hotel, but not to have a nice meal, and specially not to eat Beef, we don’t have great Beef food culture traditionaly in Yucatán our thing is the slow cooked weird ingredients stewed dishes and mostly with pork or turkey, if you want good quality Beef in Mexico, go anywhere in the north! Like Monterrey their meat is excellent
Almost* exlusive.
We have Cenotes in Tamaulipas, too. But the very best and more beautiful are in Yucatán 💖💖
@@iordirequenaah, learn something everyday. Now I need to go see the cenotes in Tamaulipas! (but we've got a Costco with a cenote over here tho, I'm sure that IS an exclusive😅)
Mexican Coca Cola is easy to find here in Texas. It is the sugar that makes the difference. It is cane sugar, not HFCS, and I think there is extra sugar in it.
Easy to find anywhere that has a large Mexican population. My kroger has it in Cincinnati
In trxas, you used to be able to find real sugar Dr. Pepper, Bottled in the town of Dublin. Dublin Dr. Pepper is the best!
We have a decent Mexican population here in GA and MexiCoke is a staple in any international section at Publix or Walmart. There's just no comparison
Not just that, there is more to it, like Mexican coke also has more gas which I like, and the after taste is slightly different
No cocaine?
Mexican food is the best in the world. Cochinita, mole, sopes, tacos, tortas, tamales, you just can't get enough.
The vegan ice bucket had me rolling. 😂😂😂
We got some good sense of humor, sometimes a little too dark... but we joke around, nontheless lmao
Best street tacos are in Mexico City, Good steaks from sonora, Oaxaca(tlayudas), Puebla(mole, cemitas y molotes)and Chiapas(cochito), Yucatan have amazing dishes, Birria in Guadalajara or Morelia. Saludos a todos , good Guga enjoyed 🇲🇽
Tal cual. Aunque en Morelia puedes comer comida de tierra caliente como morisqueta, aporreadillo, etc
This man knows.
Mariscos in Baja or Sinaloa
Guadalajara also has the best menudo
You're dumb if you think Mexico city is the best place for street food, a continental country almost has lots of places, Mexico city is just the capital
MEXICO LOVES YOU TOO GUGA, YOU WILL FOREVER BE INVITED TO THE CARNE ASADA, WITH LOVE FROM MEXICO!
As a mexican American Im really glad you enjoyed your visit
I'm really glad to see you out and about enjoying life and food. Take more vacations and let us travel with you vicariously.
Reasonably priced? From where I'm sitting, that menu read "Guacamole $215" 😂🤣👌
I was thinking to i would work here 1 week for that /:
That’s in pesos, usually $1 USD equals around 20 pesos. Right now it’s worth 16.97 pesos so the guacamole would cost $12.67. Still expensive though.
A guacamole of that size shouldn't cost more than $5. The prices are exaggerated for the area he is in xD
What you guys are forgetting is that he was in a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ star hotel so you are paying for the "extra amenities" lol in any other places like the mercado with 2 us dollars he would have paid for that guacamole 🥑
@@ethanmeraz6477 even thoug in mexico 215 pesos are wayy to much for a guacamole xd
You tell me there's a place that the food is included, I add it to my bucket list
I went decades ago to the Yucatan and visited the monument too and it was really cool! Now I can't wait to go back and show my family
Also starts from 1700$ for a night
Yes all inclusive is great, depending on where you go (all you can eat and drink included in the booking cost), comes at a price though.
@@BalintKovacs-tw4iq hence "bucket list" instead of "next holiday weekend"
You really need to do your homework on All Inclusive resorts in Mexico. Some of them are really bad.
@@riuphanexcaret is super expensive but you can go to CID which is much more affordable and the food is also great. If you have costco account you can use costco travel and you can pay like $4000-$3000 for a whole week with all inclusive packages. Thats what my parents, brother and i have done whenever we travel to that region.
Mexico and Guga, I ain't ever pressed the Like button so fast. ❤Much love from Chicago, I love visiting fam in Mexico it's breathtaking 🇲🇽
Great video. Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience in just a tiny part of Mexico! Enjoy it. Thank you for being an ambassador our amazing country!
Mexico does have some world-class food. Lovely people, too.
At this point I don't think anybody in the world can impress Guga with steaks. The more you cook / eat something the bigger expert you become and you know exactly all the nuances that other people simply can't distinct. Guga loved the ice-cream and I'm sure if somebody in the world makes ice-cream as much as guga steaks - he wouldn't be impressed with the ice-cream Guga just eat. It's just that simple. The more you eat, make, craft, drink the higher the bigger, more nuanced taste you will develop and at that point no restaurant will impress you because restaurants at the end of the day is just a business and that chief is hired to do his job at high level but not perfect level.
I agree, not only on food, but in any doctrine.
@@sophiacristina yeah it could be anything. art, music, architecture, cars, sports etc.
I am not so sure. There are some incredible restaurants e.g. Wagyu Mafia in Tokyo. Or I forgot the restaurant in Spain, where they are serving "older" beef (10 years and older). There is always somebody who is better...
@@Dominikmj of course there are. But I wouldn’t be so sure if Guga would be impressed since he did many crazy expensive experiments himself.
Kinda agree, but that pichana did look really bad

Good to know you enjoyed México! Bienvenido siempre
glad you enjoyed your trip bro, love your content
Love the content you continue to provide us Uncle Guga
I love this sort of content from Guga. Mind blowing food, local, and peerless description by one of the best.
I was in Mexico myself back in February, though I was in Playa del Carmen. Every time I've gone it's been fantastic, though I've only gone all-inclusive once. I definitely recommend going if you can, and if you go to Playa del Carmen specifically, make sure to check out Alux. It's a restaurant in a cave, it's a neat experience.
Going to Mexico this summer. Now I'm pumped after watching Guga's experience
Visit Mexico city is better than caribean
Don't go there. Have you not seen the news? It is soooo dangerous. Stay safe and visit better places in South America.

Thank you Guga for sharing some of my beautiful Mexico
Glad you visited us Guga and that you liked it, hope you come back again. If you want to have the most vibrant exquisite food experience go to Oaxaca, or Michoacan.
As a side note, Mexico isn’t really into steaks, except the North (Sonora, for example), and they have their own style. When we want steaks in the tune than you like we go to Argentinian restaurants 🤷♂️ it’s true, or Brazilian or Sonorense.
We love you back Pal!
También te queremos Guga! 🇲🇽🌮
As a Mexican I agree that you should not order steak. There's a reason we are known for anything other than steak. Most Mexicans (my family) like their meat well done. 😢
Unless you visit some northern states in Mexico. Sonora and Nuevo Leon are some of the best states to find a good steak.

@@debodatta7398this dude copied and pasted his own comment twice 😂
@@debodatta7398 Actually to further prove my point Guga has made videos with Oscar Meza from La Capital, which is a Mexican content creator who used to live in Nuevo Leon(Now lives in the US), and he is recognized for being a grill expert. Monterrey's the state capital, and grilling meat is basically the most popular social activity for people in the city, you can find awesome meat in that city. I've been to Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires myself, you can find awesome places to eat meat, but you can find awful places too, thats just how it is. When you travel you have to get to know local specialties, either from friends who are locals themselves or just honest guides.
Thanks for visiting. Glad you liked my country. You’re always welcome.
As a Mexican, I feel that Xcaret does a decent job of presenting the tourist with some of the most emblematic experiences in Mexico, including the food and drinks they have available. I bet it would blow your mind to know that you can actually get MUCH better food by going outside of the resorts and tourist spots. That would be your assignment for when you go back. Nonetheless, as a Mexican I thank you for visiting and liking my country, and by all means, do come back!
I love the Riveria Maya. I was blessed to actually climb Chichén Itxá 3 times between the ages of 16 and 29. It was always so hot there! Going up the monument was ok, but coming down was a nightmare! The steps are so steep, and you're exhausted and SO hot! There weren't any food vendors, either. At least there was water and lots of cerveza! I swam in the cenote, actually was allowed to dive in then. The guides took us underground to see the maze of beautiful caverns and the crystal clear waters. We were allowed to swim there, too. Too bad a lot of people ruined that for others, it was an amazing experience.
Had several trips to Mexico and it's by far my favorite destination. They always go out of their way to make your stay the best
If I were you, I'd avoid it altogether. That country is a complete mess nowadays. There are countless homeless drug addicts everywhere and people so poor getting eaten by rats. Get a better travel experience by going south to Peru, Argentina or Uruguay.
You the man, Guga!!! Excelente contenido!!
I always do enjoy your videos about your trips!
Guga you need to make Wagyu cow tongue!!!!

Glad you enjoyed your trip Guga! Hope you come again soon
You've inspired my next vacation destination Guga! I love the architecture of Mexican towns and the nature is beautiful too! The food would be the best part though if its all inclusive!
Don't go there! Please watch the news and realize the danger you'd be in by traveling there! There are way better and safer places in South America like Argentina and Uruguay. Food is also way better and actually hygienic.
@@JaverBradi39 there are plenty of safe places in Mexico. I work with plenty of Mexicans who have told me where is safe outside of resorts.

The food looked amazing but I'm even more impressed by the restaurants designs. Very nice! Glad you had fun Guga.
A few years ago I was lucky enough to visit Nuevo Vallarta, the food was incredible! If any of you ever get the chance, visit Mexico, you will love it!
I love Mexican food more than most of my Mexican friends! Especially the real stuff. Great vacation for sure!
I HORRENDOUSLY misinterpreted this comment
In the U.S at most Mexican restaurants
their not allowed to make the salsa Hot 🔥
so that alone makes the food not as good.
Go to Mexico City next! Food there will blow your mind!
Soy chileno y fui con mi esposa el año pasado a cdmx. Nos enamoramos de su cultura, comida y gente. En cada esquina puedes encontrar tacos espectaculares. Volveremos 100% seguro a cdmx.
I'm glad that you enjoyed visiting my country and enjoyed many different dishes, our cuisine is so vast and rich. The steaks were underwhelming even for someone not as connoisseur of beef cuts as you, though. But something that you will hardly find elsewhere is the level of service and attention from Mexican staff 👍👍👍
Thank you for making this video, I loved it.

Yes but all the food is included and all the resorts its almost a 5 star hotel tf you want charge 500 pesos 😂😂
Either that or you are getting too poor
Gentrifiction, american and european immigrants and the real state mafia are destroying our country's prices for property
Been to the Cancun/Mayan Riviera area 20+ times since 1998. On one trip I got to climb up and then
go inside Chichen Itza's pyramid. The food is excellent, the people are awesome.
Gugaaaaa!!! Awesome to see you came to Mexico and had a good time!
You had the riviera experience, very nice and touristy, if you fly from the Mexico City airport try to stay one or two days more there since in the capital there´s a ton more options.
To be honest on the Picanha, I take any roasting you do, Mexican restaurants do not know how to prepare it well, but we do experience it quite nicely on Brazilian steakhouses because it´s their star of the show! But even on the american cuts that are more common and should be prepared well, I highly doubt you will find somebody that makes it at least half as good as your steaks.
Mexico 🇲🇽 my country
Holy Hell!! At $800-900 USD a night?
I would expect everything you showed and more!
Guga livin that 1% lifestyle.
you never looked in his description at the products he uses, LOL.
If you book out a year or so in advance you can get it down to like 500-600/night. Although it includes air fare and everything so there's that. To compare though, I just got back from a 10 day trip to Japan that cost me around $2000 all said and done. (i.e. airfare, food, hotel, trains, food, sights, souvenirs, food, etc.)
@@jacobpruett9204 Even at $5-600 a night, still over-priced.
Prices for Japan have increased considerably compared to pre-pandemic times as well and they're still going up. Rail costs, flights... everything. Not the boon it used to be.

I’m jealous.. this place has been on my bucket list for awhile now. Guga show us what else you ate here and places you visited.
Noooo Guga, Im from Mérida, and this could be the closest opportunity to meet my hero. But Im glad you had a great time in the Yucatecan Península. I hope you can try to cook some of the dishes you enjoyed. It will be interesting to watch how do you cook it at your own version. U r the reason I started to try to cook, keep doing greats videos.
Yes Cancun and Playa del Carmen are the most beautiful places in the world and the food is to die for
Me and my wife have been going to Cancun for 11 years straight and it’s the best beach I seen and attractions , for the past 2 years we been staying at arte and it’s one of the best resorts we’ve stayed at .
Guga I’m very happy and glad you talk good about Mexico and it’s food and you only got to try just a little of it, and remember, food is not always the best food, and as far as steaks in Mexico Arrachera would be the oldest and most famous not many people knows how to cook picana correctly unless you are Gaucho or GuGa👍🏻🍻
Loving your IRL type videos, keep up with the good content! abraços do sul do Brasil!
I love desserts that aren't sweet but are still flavorful. Those are my favorite.
I went in 1996 if I recall, you could still walk to the top of Chichen Itza, it's so steep, they had a rope that you could use to get back down.
Hotel looks fantastic for $1500 a night!
Having spent almost my entire life in SoCal and having more than half of my family and friends being Hispanic, some are even immigrants from Mexico, I eat a ton of Mexican food and absolutely love it. Best food out there.
Guga meet just like 7% of Mexico. Imagine him getting to know the rest o Mexico, he would be 10x amazed.
We love you too, Guga
Absolutely love the video. That’s a shame that the picana wasn’t good enough and I totally understand. By the other hand, I realize that you went just a few days here to Mexico. I highly recommend you to come back to the State next to the one you went, which is Merida, Yucatán. Beautiful city, incredible gastronomy, lots of activity to enjoy by yourself or with your family; and mostly book it for at least 5-6 days.
Thanks for the video!!!!
Hey Guga, I’m glad you came to Mexico. The next time you visit you shall go to Mexico City, in my opinion is the place with the best street food and you should give it a try
Baja California awaits you! Amazing video!
What an episode! And yes, my hometown of Tijuana invented Caesar Salad--that's a good trivia question for your friends. Also, Tijuana has the best tacos in the world, unfortunately there are few tourist attractions unless you want to travel a couple hours south and venture into the Baja California peninsula (Rosarito for lobster, Ensenada for fish tacos, seafood and wine country), virgin beaches further south.
I love that you enjoy Mexico, and if what you want is a great steak, you must go to the north, monterrey more precisely.
Great video guga. You deserve a five star rating for this vlog.
I went to that hotel and oh my it's was the best time in my life, I ate so much and had so much fun, it's crazy how much freedom you had there and the amount of benefits that came with staying there is crazy
My mom just bought a place in playa del Carmen , can’t wait to be there !
Guga I just wanted to say that you’re looking absolutely amazing!!! You’re looking soo skin and sharp!!! Congratulations brother ❤
My Next vacation must be there ❤ everything looks amazing
Next time uncle guga come to the north side of México, we love steaks here, in monterrey we do a carne asada every weekend! in the south is more of a traditional style of food.
I’ve been to that exact senote and diving off that staircase was super fun
hey Guga your spanish it’s really good!! 👋🏼👍🏼
Great video bro
Next trip to Mexico try to avoid big all inclusive hotels and go directly to local markets and restaurants, you will not regret. The amount of food, flavors and drinks that you can find are invaluable
I wish the videos when you travel were a lil longer. You always have so much fun and great food.!!!
Tnk u for coming to ma Mexico and giving such a good review.... Yeah picaña isn't in Mexico yet😅
El mole esta delicioso, uno de mis platillos favoritos de México
Here in Mexico surprisingly we’re not to crazy about streaks 😂 we like it to be infused with lots of other flavors and/or eaten with something else
After watching this video I've made up my mind that it is indeed time for a vacation. Thanks Guga for reminding us that not everything is about work work work but we should enjoy life as well. ✌
Guga thank you for coming to Mexico and i hope that you enjoy your visit. The south part of Mexico are not very steak eaters is mor in the north like Nuevo León or Chihuahua. I recommend that you talk with oscar from La capital for another tips in another journey to Mexico
That mole looked delicious! When we went to Chichen Itza we toured the grounds: step pyramid, ball game court etc first then the jumped in the cenote, which was right on time as it is hot in that open space.
Hey Guga! It's hard to find good beef in Mexico, coming from a beef distributor down here. We stayed at this hotel for a week 10 months ago, Arenal was our worst food experience there. The good news is that we are coming back in 2 weeks for 9 longs days!
Im glad you had a blast in Mexico! Its a very beautiful country with tons of great cuisine! And yeah most restaurants dont make steak like you do lol my go to when i go to a restaurant is chile relleno or enmoladas!
I went to Arenal when we were in Mexico.... one of the best meals I've ever had!
If I ever visit Mexico, I’ll see if I can try some of the food there!
