I’m binge watching pan videos and getting motivated to start my own 2018 pan project
Smaraki Samantaroy > Me too! I need to get serious about my collection/continuously buying “must have” items. E/s palettes are my addiction!!!
Good luck on your journey:)
Smaraki Samantaroy omg! Me too! I’m so motivated in doing no buy for 2018. Goodluck to us ladies 💕
TMM 520 Same here! Eyeshadow palettes are my weakness though I should probably invest wisely on a foundation more.
Michelle Bondoc Yup! Good luck to us! 😊😊
Definitely good advice! I’m a makeup hoarder so i always feel like i want to keep the higher end products as much as possible. But it makes sense to use those up so they don’t go to waste!
I tend to buy more powder products because they don't expire as quickly as cream or liquid
MUMT Kayla me too
I dont mean to be so off topic but does someone know a method to log back into an Instagram account?
I somehow lost my account password. I would love any tricks you can give me.
@Landen Yousef instablaster :)
I've been using Physician formula butter bronzer for about 3-4 months almost every single day and I just hit pan like a week ago! Crazy!!
Yay! Congrats! Keep it up :)
N Bella bronzer takes FOREVER! You're doing amazing
N Bella I'm working on the same product
I'm learning about project pan and one thing I don't like about it is a lot of people are saying they are using up products they don't like and they keep them
and make themselves use it until the end of the term. You are the first one I've come across that is saying go ahead and declutter if you don't like it. That's more in line with what I would do especially if that item has many replacements already paid for in your stash. I also identify with trying not to use up something that is your favorite. I haven't been doing Project pan but I have been trying to declutter and I've been trying to pick one item to use up at a time(I'm trying to pick oldest items first since things do expire). If there is something I dont like at all I see if someone wants it which honestly helps me a lot as I hate to just trash stuff. Its a slow process sometimes but I don't think I can just throw out a whole lot at one time.
Your hair is so beautiful!!
Thank you :)
I'm onto my second year of panning (and as of March my second attempt at going cruelty-free!) and this year is twice as hard as the first year. I don't wear a lot of makeup on a daily basis, there's no point because my job is too fast-paced and it just melts off, but I've recently decided to let my skin take a break and now I'm not wearing any at all, which is really affecting my progress for panning. Your tips are super helpful and I love the idea of not forcing yourself to use up something, especially if you don't like it
Nothing wrong with not wearing makeup sometimes! I LOVE giving my skin a break for a couple days! And thank you, so glad that you enjoyed the video :)
Your hair color is SO gorgeous! I agree there are just times that we need to declutter things that didn't work for us.
So many good points. With the Too Faced bronzer, I've been trying to finish a sample size for months. I finally put a pin in it the other night and I can't believe how deep it is! I could probably have two sample bronzers a year at this rate, and I tan very easily so I use a lot of bronzer to match my arms...it's the never ending bronzer. I know this video is a few months old but I'm hoping you were able to make progress, if it was difficult don't let it get to you, and I'll go check out your updates!
Melissa Thomas i put pins in my shades too🤣
Syeda Salima Kamran lol..I just did it with a powder foundation the other day. I need to know what to expect, I'm like that with a lot of things now that I think about it!
Melissa Thomas means I'm normal 😂 cz thats what i do too.
Ahhh I was just watching your pan videos when this popped up!!! Also I have been binging your channel recently, and ilysm!
Aww you make me smile! ILYSM TOO :)
I don't think I'll ever hit pan on any products apart from bronzer, because I wear makeup no more than once a week.
Nothing wrong with that!
I'm currently panning three palettes, and i love your tips! And I have even marked certain shades as my "priority" to use up by November/December, when it will allow me to take advantage of sales and gift-giving season since that is also my birthday month. These are so helpful and I love your panning videos, Kelly!
That's another great tip that I forgot! I'm doing the same thing in my recent pan that palette- deciding which pans NEED to be finished and which ones I simply want to hit pan on!
I'm super late but i really love the aesthetic of your videos! The colors in the background perfectly match your colors!
I am also panning my nude tude palette and I use the first 4 shades as highlighters ! The white one is blinding!!! I never use shimmers as browbone shades so I found a use for these shadows !
Good luck on panning it! You'll have to keep me updated on your progress throughout this pan! xoxo
Thanks for the info! I'm still on the fence about starting a project pan. I compare it to going on a diet and restricting myself -- that turns me off. But just like I can't eat whatever I want w/o consequences, I can't keep buying makeup w/o consequences, too. So, thanks for the food for thought (pun intended). :)
Alix Lola it's not at all like going on a diet! Only if you pick products you don't like as Kelly said. I actually enjoy using only one blush every single day even though I have way to many! Instead of being on a diet it's like you're aloud to eat chocolate every single day! Like you're aloud to do the good stuff!
I've never thought about it like that haha. But personally, I don't restrict anything! If I want to use a different blush for the day, then I will! :)
Glad to hear it's not restricting like a diet!
It's a bit funny because I'm also panning that blush and I love it 😅 I'm cool toned though so I'm sure it looks totally different on me than on you :) and I tap off the glitter before applying!
I used to love that blush... but the deeper that I got into the pan it started to get chunky glittery. Maybe I had a dud :(
I am rewatching this video because it was suggested on my feed. It reminded me that I’ve been following you since 5K. Congrats on your growth! Still love your channel and watch it everyday!
Your comment about how you realized your collection was a bit imbalanced made me think of a couple of things. One is that I think we tend to see liquid products as having a firmer 'use by' date than powdered ones, though perhaps it's more that the time is shorter.
The other was remembering a discussion about how people should evaluate their wardrobes - many peoples' wardrobes don't align with the reality of how often they're having to dress for a certain situation (weekend vs. regular workday vs. important meeting vs. social, say). I think the same can be true with makeup, and I will be the first to admit I can definitely think of at least one product in my collection that would be better suited to some alternate universe version of myself.
Loving your channel so much! You’re so grounded, sensible and also your hair is like movie star hair 😍
I requested this video! Thanks for filming it ❤
Thank you for requesting it! :)
Sweet girl... 8000 subbies back in the day. Look at you now! I love your videos. You're so uplifting to watch. ❤
Good video. I'm definitely going to do a pan soon
Good luck with it!
It's also encouraging to put some really fun easy products to use. I used to keep all my samples but now I use them in projects. it's easy and it changes the routine of using always the same products for a long while:-)
You look a little like Jennifer Lopez so pretty
I think this is an awesome idea. I’m going to implement it for 2018. I should probably start with the Colourpop super shock eyeshadows since I noticed that they were kind of drying out. The other day I decluttered a lot of makeup so this should help me to reduce clutter even more. Thanks!!! Love your channel. I believe it was Jessica Braun who mentioned one of your videos and I came here to watch. Xoxo
Congrats on 8k!!! Thats so exciting, happy for you Kelly! I've been debating on doing a project pan- I know I have a lot of makeup, but I'm wary of only using certain products for an extended period of time because all of my other favorites won't be getting any love. At the same time there are some products that I would love to use up and get out of my collection.
I was nervous about that too but when I pan I STILL use my other products. Personally, I think it's important to rotate them in so that ALL of my makeup is getting use not just the products that I'm panning!
a tip i would keep in mind if that if you have hit major pan on say, the nyc bronzer u were trying to use up, and it got tough to use around the edges, you can always repress it into the middle!!
Congrats on the 8.1 K subs!!!! I've been watching your videos for a while now (I subbed like 6 months ago), but it's my first time commenting... I really like that you shared what you learnt from your first project pan, because your mentality changed into seeing the worth of your makeup collection in a more "healthy" way. Good luck on your 2nd project pan! xx
Thank you! It has honestly changed the way that I view makeup and it's value in my life! :)
so funny to hear"thank you for 8000 subscribers" when now you have 35000😂
Congrats on 8k! Some fab tips here, I'm in the middle of my first pan and it's definitely torture with a couple of products. Also I've included a baked blush which i genuinely don't think I'll ever finish. It has reignited my love for a few products though!
You can do it! Stay strong but don't force yourself to use anything that you truly don't like. Good luck! :)
Thanks honey! I've kind of decided that if I'm still hating something after two updates, it's going in the bin haha
I mix things in that I’m not sure I love. If I fall in love with a product due to panning (which happens more often than I expect) then great! But if trying to pan confirms my hate, they go in the trash or get given to friends.
You have a great channel!! Love your playlist format❤️
Wow - I am impressed - you´ve collected 300 subbies in 8 days !!! that is quite an achievement :)
Distracted by how awesome your hair looks in this video!!
Love your hair and makeup 😍👌👍
I learned so much. I think I’ll try this.
Thanks for sharing! I know how you feel about not wanting to use up products you love. I feel that way about my lipsticks 😫
Hahaha yes! For me- it's my highlighters... I just love them all so much haha
Congrats on the 8k!! 🤜🏽🤛🏽
Thank you so much!
Great reflection. Thanks for sharing.❤️
I actually love the rolling project pan. I don't necessarily buy something new unless I use up the old. Or whatever I'm trying to use rotate it out.
Your makeup here is really preety❤💖💕
Good tips. I too buy WAY more powder products then liquid. In fact I don’t think I’ve ever hit pan on a blush because I like different colors all the time. And I notice I hit pan on all over eyeshadow colors in a pan way before I hit pan on the liner color. It’s hard to toss stuff that’s not even close to being done that I like (periodically wipe down with alcohol blushes, etc). What advice do you have to balance out the lopsided palettes that were expensive? Thanks!
Congratulations on 8k subscribers! You deserve it! xx
Thank you! xoxo
Subscribed!! Coz you're so pretty
Your hair looks stunning in this video!!

Congrats on 8k!!!
Thank you so much! :)
new sub here!!! Hope your channel goes far!
When I hit my first eyeshadow pan, I posted it to r/panporn. A few days later, the pan disappeared from the shadow shifting or something. Has this happened to anyone else?
Your voice sounds so much softer nowadays 🤣
Hello! New subscriber :) Xx
