Great review. Love the detail and confidence for this Nordic Track X22i treadmill. I think for the money savings between this and the X32i I am leaning toward the X22i. Like you said the 22" is plenty big to save $1,000.
I love your review style. Your voice is great, you're articulate and authentic. Thinking about the x22i and x32i....leaning towards x22i because it seems pretty similar.
Thank you so much! We really appreciate that. Both machines are great but we like the X22i just a little bit more because it's priced really well for what it can do. And really, a 22" screen is plenty of screen. Let us know what you decide to go with! 😊
Best Treadmill Reviews made my decisions and ordering the X22i because Of the attractive price and I really don’t need the extra screen space and running space. I’m super excited!
Thanks for the great review, in addition there two not so good things you have to consider before you buy it. 1. If you are a tall person, you may need more headroom than what will available in an standard 8' tall ceiling. 2. If you plan to use the awesome Google Street view, you will be constantly looking downward and that may hurt your back/neck. It would be awesome to have a second monitor in front of you close to the ceiling, but this unit doesn't have an HDMI output port.
I have find out that you can connect to the ifit website from your PC, Laptop, tablet or phone before starting the ifit workout and when you start the workout on your threadmill it will appear on your device, then you select liveview on your device and you can use an HDMI or screencast app (depending on your TV) to watch your workout on a huge screen
You prolly dont care at all but does any of you know a way to log back into an instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the account password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me
@Thomas Mitchell Thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Great question. The belt is 60 inches long and there's a very small belt cover at the top that allows for longer stride lengths while being able to stay close to the console. One of our reviewers is 6'5" and has no problems while running on this treadmill.
It’s such a shame that the machine isn’t built to last! Nordic Track sent these machines out with a faulty circuit board that will go out not long after purchasing. Oh, I should add, not long but long enough to be outside the return window. Mine went precisely 6 months after purchasing. The circuit board controls the belt, so when it goes out your stuck with a tv stand. Replacements are on back order due to high demand and I’ve read many customers end up with the same problem not long after replacing. I wish someone would have written about this when I was researching treadmills to buy. Please do some research of your own and steer clear of Nordic track brand treadmills!
Yes! It’s under warranty but it’s such a common problem they don’t even have the parts in stock to ship. Who knows when I’ll have it up and running again.
We are hoping to get that treadmill in soon but we don't have an exact time when that will be in. We'll do our best. Check out our website, a written review will be coming there sooner than a video. Thanks!
Ceiling 7' 9". I'm 5' 10". If I bought this will it be hitting my head on the ceiling at 40 degrees? Also, what about moving the x22i around. Does it have wheels to move or does it have to be lifted to move?
I have an NordicTrack incline that does the same 40%. While I'm only 5'7" I've never felt remotely close to my ceiling. I think that while it inclines the 40% you will still be mid-belt which I just measured at about 20-21" when at 40%. Also, about moving, I noticed in an assembly video this machine has same wheels on front which enables moving but it's plenty heavy so I've avoided unless necessary. Hope this helps!
I am considering the X22i or the Commercial 2450. How high are the decks off of the floor? It seems like the X22i is quite a bit taller. I am 6' and trying to determine if it my ceiling will be high enough for either of them.
Thanks for checking out our review. How high are your ceilings? We have a reviewer who is 6'5" and 9' ceilings work great for him on the X22i when the deck is fully inclined to 40%.
Why don’t you talk about all the repair problems and service issues people have with Nordictrack machines? I was going to order one based on your reviews then saw all the angry customer reviews.
I can buy a sole f85 for $3700 aud or a x22i for $4400 aud. in your opinion is the x22i worth the extra $700? If I were to buy the x22i I would only use the incline as steep as the f85 can go.
Needs to be recalled. Safety issues!! Cheap made equipment. Good luck if you machine works. Paid over $3,000. Mine stoped in one month. First it’s the iFit just slow and crashes, then heart monitor does not connect and now the belt just stops and IFIT act like noting wrong happened. Happened to me over 8 times now. Spent a lot of money to be on hold on the phone with tech support for hours and then they ask you to service your own machine despite having a 6 year warranty I paid extra for. 😡 😡
I love this tread and hate it. I have the x32i and when it works its amazing however they have many problems. Mine had a problem so they replaced the motor out of commission a month well that didn't fix it so they sent me a new console which I have to replace my self and the part took awhile so. Out of commission awhile since I have had time to replace yet. GLAD I BOUGHT THE EXTRA WARRANTY.
Sound like great incline trainers. A shame Norditrack has a problem meeting "electronics compliance std" in Canada. I was looking for this model and the x11...not sold in Canada.
The top of the deck is about 14 inches off the ground. How high are you ceilings? We've got a reviewer that is 6' 5" and his head hits right below 8' at full incline so with 8' or 9' ceilings you should be great.
Thanks for replying. Our ceiling comes to a peak and at the peak it’s just a little over 8ft so I didn’t think the treadmill would work so I bought the new bow flex bike because the peloton and Nordic track seemed to expensive for a bike in my opinion. Btw your reviews are great and very detailed.
@@joshtenney168 Yeah that might have been a tight squeeze when working at an incline in that room. Thanks for your support, we appreciate it! Enjoy your new machine.
im 6' with 8' ceilings your good. one thing to think about is the hardware in the monitor its junk i bet it has a duel core with 1 gig ram very low fps while watching their training videos and it totally kills it for me
Yes, you will need to be signed into iFit to use the Google Maps tool to create your own workouts. If you are not signed in, there are about 10 onboard Google Maps workouts on the machine. We hope this helps, please let us know if you have any other questions.
I thought the max speed was 22kph not 12mph. What's the max speed at minus 6% - I've read Nordic Track treadmills will slow you down if you're already going fast and you try and go negative. Can you still use the treadmill without iFit? Are there any plain workouts without any videos. I'd be happier looking at a simple screen with stats on it 😁
Great question. When you turn on the machine you will need to connect it to our internet to access the onboard workouts. Once your machine is connected to wifi you will need to hit the "continue without signing in" on the main iFit screen. After that, when you go to the workout library, you will be able to see the onboard workouts. Please let us know if you have any follow up questions.
Thanks for the answer. To have access to the on-board workouts I had to logout and then enter to the library. There I found 60 programs distributed in several categories, such as: speed, incline, maps, etc. Another interesting thing is that with IFIT, the "manual” option does not allow more than 20 minutes of time, instead of the previous option, without access to IFIT, there are no time restrictions which is good to follow any UA-cam or Internet program. The x22i is the best!
YES THE SCREEN!! dont buy the larger screen even if it has a bigger motor its not worth it, the hardware inside is junk it cant really handle the videos they want you to watch fps is very low not acceptable at all think about what im saying
There is a camera on the top of the screen that can be accessed if you unlock the tablet. You should be able to figure out how to do that in an iFit Facebook group.
My X22i motor control board stopped working after 5 weeks. Multitude of other reviews on same issue, my bad for not reading first. It took 40min on hold to speak to customer service. They ordered the part but I found out weeks later that the part is on back order. The link they provided to check on shipping status didn’t work so spent another 45min on hold to figure this out. Quality control is abysmal and customer service is non-existent. I am planning to just throw out the $3000 worthless machine. Be veryvery aware and do your research. I’ve never experienced working with a company like this.
I purchased the larger monitor version several months ago. I would not do so had I known what I know now. First, the x32i screen acuity is poor. So a larger version of this is not helpful or inspiring. Mine is placed in a full shade covered patio. The glare also diminishes screen visual, even after spending $200 on screen glare saver. I find myself using regular treadmill mode, not the ifit workouts, because of ease of controlling my own workout strenuous levels. This too means the larger monitor is not useful. Otherwise the quality of the machine is very good.

Don’t buy one. When they break you’re stuck with a 400lb towel rack. They’ll charge you to send it back and they don’t send technicians
How long is the belt on this one compared to the x32i?
The belt on the X22i is only 1 or maybe 2 inches shorter because the motor cover on front of the running surface is just slightly larger.
