This video is freak'n awesome. I have the exact same leveling system, and same pad. I've been confused, even after reading the owner's manual. This has straightened me out. Thanks so much!
Thanks for the videos!! We had major issues where we were online with Lippert Service and what they had us do ended up breaking a pin. Then, once we fixed the pin we tried to manually (the nut on the jacks) lower the jack and found the front right was binding. Ordered a new motor/gear box and reinstalled everything and all seems to be good now!! We like to sit a little nose down when running air conditioning so it runs off the front. In the process, we also ordered a new control pad since our Bounder is a 2007. It has been an ordeal and we are in our 70’s, so we really appreciated watching your videos!! Blessings on you.
Totally enjoyed. Did not know front jacks had to be down first. We have back jacks down and can’t get front jacks down. We also have our middle slide out stuck midway. We have a servicer coming .
A little confused here. Other youtube videos are saying level side to side first, then level front to back. Great tutorial. Look forward to your response. Thank you.

Thanks for your video. Been a camper for years. Purchase A older class A 36 foot a couple years ago. Your video was awesome. Very helpful. Just started following you site. Thanks Don
Thank you for your video. We are newbies to class a. I have been wanting to try manually leveling our rig. However we have just been using aito level. 99% of our campsites (so far) are pretty close to being level. I must be doing something wrong when we get ready to leave. I start Stormy to run in the slide first but she drops 🤔 what am I doing wrong? I am afraid this can not be good for the slide? After watching this video I am wondering if I did not shut the level off. Should I shut it off while the engine is still running?
Do you have the parking brake engaged? Not sure what rig you have, but if our parking brake was not engaged and we tried to start the rig, the levelers would automatically go up. It is a safety feature to make sure yopu don't try to drive off with the levelers down.We never started the engine to bring the slides in. The slides are bought in first, then start the engine and bring up the levelers. Check your owners manual for what procedure you should be doing for you slides and levelers.
Thank You!-Thank You! I have never been happy with the auto level . I think it always raises the coach more than necessary (and still does not make it level) . I will now manually level. Thank you for ALL your "how to videos". No one does them better! p.s. I already have the snap pads, time to add the level mate pro
You are welcome Bruce, thank you so much for your comment! We to feel that Auto raises the coach too much. We even recalibrated the Zero Point on the leveling system and it still felt off. We do have our Amazon link for the LevelMatePRO in the description box below the video.

I watched both of your videos about leveling and calibration of my power gear. Both are great, details not found in owners guide. I will be calibrating my unit soon, but is there a reason why only my front or only the rear will deploy and indicate rv is level? All works ok if done manually. Thanks for your informative videos.
I would try the calibrate it first and see if that corrects the issue. We mainly use Levelmate Pro to level the RV. Don't know if you saw that video... ua-cam.com/video/TAelye5fWP0/v-deo.html
I know this is an old video but I just found it as I’m considering a little larger motorhome with auto levelers. This was very helpful and reassuring of my decision. My question is: when would you want to use manual if you can just use auto?
Your video is very informative, in very detailed. You mentioned level mate pro device. Please send me the link how to install it that also shows what location it is to be installed. Thanks.

Hi!The levelers we had would only retract all 4. You could not retract just one or 2. Levelmate Pro is the way to go. LInk is in the Description Box below the video. Good Luck! 😀
Great breakdown! Is there a way to calibrate the level? I haven't figured that out and our auto level seems to consistently lean us to the passenger side. Thanks in advance!
Hi Chuck and Cheryl. Liked the video although I don't have that brand of leveling system, but have thought about getting the snappads and levelmate pro. I bet you sell your house before me. We had to cancel our Branson, MO trip. We've had record breaking flooding here in Ft. Gibson, OK and the surrounding area. We are high enough to where we are not affected, but my daughter, son-in-law, and 4 year old grandson's home flooded and they have moved in with us. I'm just thankful we're able to do it. It's been over a week and they still haven't been able to get to their house. They probably lost pretty much everything. The donations businesses are providing for those affected have been amazing. Everyone is safe and that's the main thing.
Hi Carl! We are so sorry for you guys and your family. We heard on the news about the terrible weather out your way, thankfully everyone in your family is alright. Possessions can be replaced, lives can't. Mother Nature can be cruel at times. We really hope everything get back to at least somewhat normal for all of you soon. We love the Level mate pro and the RV SnapPads. Cheryl was always the one who got out to guide me in and trying to find the levelest spot, then crawling under to put the blocks under the jack pads. Now she knows the levelest spot using the app and the SnapPads have eliminated the need for the blocks. Anything that make setup and breakdown easier is something we want. LOL
Thanks, I appreciate that. We did stay in the Jayco a few days while the electricity was out. Sure glad it has a generator. We loaded up the fridge in the Jayco and I was able to run an extension cord to the freezer in the garage. It was a good excuse to clean out the freezer inside the house.
@@awabbievet Back in 2008 we had an really bad ice storm here and lost power for 9 days. Thanks to our Jayco Class C with generator we never had to leave the house. It was rough, but we survived. Most people ended up in motels. Our thoughts are with you all.
Thanks. People around here had to do that too. Our class C came to the rescue. Found out all the inverter works is the front and back TV's and refridgerator. First time I ever used it.
Our Class A inverter works more than our Class C inverter did. When I do the upgrade the new inverter will run even more, but we are getting ahead of ourselves now. LOL
Hey guys I really love your video I have a 2004 Fleetwood revolution diesel 40 foot and I got almost the same level of a system that you guys show up in the video my my question is you RV is a diesel to?
Oh ok thanks. I just bought an 08 Winnebago Voyage with this system and used the jacks for the 1st time and noticed that the same lights on mine did the same thing as yours in the video. I thought I had an problem. I assumed that the lights went out once they were fully retracted. Thanks for your reply
Great info, thank you. I have an older model with "sticks" on the floor so the question is, is there a pad replacement available like the one you have on your dashboard....Ford Rambler year 2000.
Thank you so much for this video! The first few times I leveled my RV (newbie here), the front tires were off the ground. When I retracted the jacks to try again, they retracted suddenly and to me it felt like they dropped the RV to the ground. How bad is it that it this happened? How can I prevent this from happening - should I just manually level?
Hi Danni! It will always feel like a sudden drop with hydraulic levelers, but it is best if the wheels are on a solid surface or blocks first. 😀 When using LevelMate Pro if we can't get within 5" of being level on all the tires, we put wheel blocks under the tires that are more than 5" off. We never use AUTO, we prefer to manually level using LevelMate Pro. There is a link to it in the description Box under the video. We have another video on the channel that shows to calibrate the leveling system, in case yours is out of sync (Power Gear Levelers). The link to that is also in the description box below the video.
@@GetGonewithUS thanks for the clear and quick answer!! And to confirm, if you’re over 5” on your levelmate you’ll drive up onto the blocks, right? Like it’s not that you’re leveling till the wheels are off the ground and the you’re sliding the blocks under the tires right haha? I’ll check out your recalibration video too, thanks!!!
I have an older Power Gear system that is turning the Emergency Brake light on at odd times and locking the system up. Can you advise on where I might get information on that type. Power Gear sold and Lipper has no one knowledgeable on the product.
Sorry Howard I have no idea. The only experience we have is with the system that we have on our rig. Our best suggestion would be to look over the system for a name or a model, then search the internet. Maybe someone will see your comment here and have some info for you. Good Luck.
@@GetGonewithUS I watched your video and went out and used the methodology you said and got the jacks to work for the first time since I bought the MH. Did not try an figure out what step caused it to work but now know then can work.
Do you have video to show how to retract when you did buttons out of order? Ours got stuck and we finally got them up but it continued to show jacks down. I found a video where you have to hold several of the buttons down at same time but now I can’t find it. But it did work
Sorry, w haven't had that problem. Most of the time the Jacks Down light is on it is due to low fluid or a bad switch. Maybe someone on here has the answer you are looking for.
Thanks for your great video. I have a problem in the bedroom in the back. The head board is the in slider, and i noticed the large tile has slipped down about 7 inches and it felt wet. I believe tge moisture caused the glue not to hold, this has caused the night stand to be too tight and has the night stand to not be level, how do I get access to the tile to bring it back up where it belongs. Or where can I get my question answered. I would appreciate any help. And even it any of your subscribers have had this happen I will fix the leak for sure. Thank you.
Hi Sharon. I would try posting your issue on a RV forum such as IRV2.com You should mention what rig you have make, year and model. I would try to post a picture or two also showing the problem. The more info you can give the better chance you have of someone knowing what your issue is. Good Luck. 😀
I guess im asking randomly but does anybody know a method to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid forgot the account password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me
@Matteo Omari I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and im trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Great information on auto. & man. leveling vid. Sure you have many OJT tips & tricks. I fully understand the need for leveling our Greyhawk 26y. By your recommend using RV snap pads (awesome).. I practice allot with Auto & Man. Trying to develop optional "self-only" methods to overcome ground issues that are unexpected and unforgiving. My most puzzling issue is when trying to get RV level and my tires go off ground and cause jacks to max out extension. I started using bubble level, then carpenters level, now have a electronic digital cross. Next trials will use cell leveling app that can give height & angle values to compare and verify RV level controller. I will initial manual level, then put level pads under tires to meet ground height and wedge to anti-roll. Then finalize with fine tune level ... What do you think? Do you have any suggestions to help me? I am surprised that mfg level ok with side-side @ 3deg & front to rear @ 6deg but RV low point level lites remain on. Can still see slope on outside box too.
Hi Milton. Your best bet is to get a LevelMate Pro (link is in the description block below the video). When we get to a site, Cheryl guides me in and using the app for LevelMate Pro on her phone. She is able to see where we are the closest to being level on her phone and that's where we park the rig. Usually for anything over 5" off we use wheel blocks and leveler blocks if necessary. We never try to wedge anything under the tires or levelers. The LevelMate Pro tells us how far off each tire from being level. For example if it's 6", we'll put probably one or 2 rows under the tire that is off and let the levelers make up the difference. That's how we level. Safe Travels. 😀
Maybe I missed it, what do you do if the parking spot is a little more out of level that the levelers can handle? I guess front to back might be more common in mountain type areas. I really enjoyed video and hope to buy a class C with level system installed.
Hi Ronald. Levelers are not the cure all to every situation. You still need to carry leveling blocks to put under the tires if the site you are in is way out of being level. Thankfully that doesn't happen too often. As long as our LevelMate Pro says each corner of the RV is 5" or less from being level, we use just the levers. Hope that helps.
I did not know your supposed to put tip outs out first. I still wonder about that. I saw it in a video. It was you tube so it has to be true. Thanks you guys....FV Ken
Hi Ken, you mean fronts down first? For our system, you are supposed to put them down first, according to the manual. Funny though on auto, the rears go down first. LOL
Great video! We are new RVrs. Question, can you retract 1 side at a time? Could we for instance, if we have gone to far on the right, how do you retract one side without having to “retract all”?
Glad you liked the video. I believe on our system it is Retract All only. That being said, you don’t have to retract them all the way. If you release the button in manual mode they stop retracting and you can start again from where you stopped.
Hi please how do you make your bigfoot to jack down and up because my can't jack down automatically I've added fluid and electric is OK but it will not work automatically
Great video I have always wondered what would be the best way to do this and you have answered it ! ! Man or Woman you explained it so well I can't wait to try this as soon as I get a Class A motorhome. Does it make it any hard if you have like a 45' motorhome . I'm 65 and retired now have everything up for sale to go with my wife and see America the Beautiful ! I hope its not long before I get out their, seems I can't stand the wait. Thanks so much and I more than enjoyed the presentation of learning the correct way !
Excellent video. I have exactly everything you have. But it never goes that easy for me. Sometimes my low voltage light goes on I've checked my batteries I know they're good. Doesn't seem to affect the performance. And sometimes when I make a turn driving with the level system off all the lights are flashing and beep for a few seconds. I've checked the manual it says hydraulic oil level could be low. levels are good. Thanks again for your video
Thank you! Sorry to hear you are having problems with your system. How old are your batteries? We were getting the low voltage warnings too. We got a hold of the company and they told us that the batteries have to already have a strong charge in them before you can operate the levelers, even though the engine is running. After testing both of our batteries, we were told one of them was a tad bit on the weak side, so we changed them both out and have not had that problem since.
I enjoyed the video. We’re new and having issues with leveling. We also have the Powerlevel Series for our 2020 Winn Forza diesel pusher. I have several questions: blocks under tires vs under pads, what do you recommend how to approach this issue; when using manual leveling, how can you tell when the front pads are down since I didn’t see a light go on during the demo, and did you say to raise them 3” after you’ve put them down and how can you know w/o physically checking. All for now but I thought it was a very good demo.
Hi Stephen, glad you enjoyed the video! We have Power Gear Levelers, not sure if that is what you meant to type. If not then you may have a different setup. You should always check your manual for your setup. We will usually put blocks under the tires if we are more than 5" off. If we are way off we will also put blocks under the levelers. Easy way we found to determine how far off we are is with LevelMate Pro... amzn.to/3gzMsJN As soon as your front levelers hit the ground you will start to feel the rig lift in the front. The Levelmate Pro will show when you hit the 3" mark. Otherwise just try to judge the 3" inches, it doesn't have to be exact. Happy Trails and safe travels! 😀
It seems when we use the automatic leveler, the rig gets level but sits a few inches too high. Is this a common issue when you use the automatic leveler?
Hi Mike. If by 'too high' you mean you have tires off the ground, it could be the site it really off being level or the AUTO setting needs to be recalibrated. Easiest way to check if your AUTO is off, is to level it then check it with a bubble level. If the site is off level, (which we have run into quite a few times) you need to use blocks under your tires. We use Levelmate Pro and if we are off more than 5" on any tire we put blocks under it first, before leveling. We do have a video on how to calibrate the Power Gear Levelers that we have Link to Levelmate Pro... amzn.to/2JcpCIx Link to How to recalibrate levers... ua-cam.com/video/P34LJLlcnAw/v-deo.html
We have the same system on our diesel pusher, but can't figure out how to just retract one jack at a time?? It seems like the only choice on a retraction is to retract all of them, and then you have to start all over again.
I haven't leveled it sitting on pretty level ground it has controller on floor beside captain chair and a switch on the dashboard says auto level the manual is on the floor.
@@timothymccoy7585 I would try to find out who made them and if there is a manual to explain how they work. We have only worked with newer Power Gear Levelers.
Help please!! We recently purchased a 2006 Damon intruder and the light from the Jacks Down is on but they aren’t down 😳 What should we do? We are first time rv owners
Sorry, without seeing the problem, there is no way we can help. Not even sure which system you have. We suggest checking with the manufacturer of your levelers. Good Luck!
I'm new to the RV'ing and this is by far the best Instruction vid on the levelers. I have one more question that I have been getting mixed answer from everyone I asked. Do you level with the slide in or out and do you reverse the exact process when retracting the leveler?
Thanks for your comment, we appreciate it. The slide or levelers first question is opening a can of worms. lol Some say it depend on if it is gas or diesel. Some manufacturers recommend slides first, then levelers. For us, our manual says levelers first, then slides. The reason being that if the rig isn't already level, the slides could possible bind going in or out. We follow what the manual said to do and that is the recommendation that we always give to that question. Hope that helps. 😀
I don't know if you will see this question so long after this video, but I will ask anyway... We ended up bending one of our rear jacks and it will be a while we before we can get it fixed so we are wondering if you can use 3 out of the 4 jacks without causing more damage or not?
Thanks Bob. Cheryl feels we get a better level from using the manual. We even reset the zero point on the leveler system using the Levelmate Pro and the carpenters level method, but it feels slightly off at times. Although I think it's because she enjoys trying to get all the numbers to zero instead of just making lights turn off! LOL
I believe on our system it is Retract All only. That being said, you don’t have to retract them all the way. If you release the button in manual mode they stop retracting and you can start again from where you stopped.
When we get done leveling the coach it’s not level (using a level on the floor) left side needs to come up. How do you reset the power gear level to be correct?
Mine's not working I push the button to retract all Jackson nothing happens what could be the problem is it a faulty unit a fuse can you help do you have any idea
My system will not turn on when I press the "On" button. I have to keep it pressed for around 3 minutes before it kicks on. The batteries are new, so it isn't a battery issue. The coach is running and parking brake is set. Any suggestions?

Hi Santiago. No, our RV is a gasser.
@@GetGonewithUS But I have exactly the same leveling system if the engine is not running you cannot do anything
@@santiagojimenez8912Right, that is how it works. It says right on our control panel that the engine must be running.
Great video. When you retracted your jacks, one light was flashing another was on and you said it’s done. Is this normal?
Yes it is normal. It's just showing that the RV was no longer level after the jacks went up. 😀
Sorry, I have no idea Wesley. This is what came with our RV. I'd call the company to find out Good Luck. 😀
Thank you. This is a must see video. Easy to follow and informative.
You are welcome! Glad you enjoyed it! 😀
Exactly! 😀

Another great video, you two were definitely made for the full time rv lifestyle.
The 2 of you would know. We have learned a lot from you both! 😃
Good Luck.

I watched your video and went out and used the methodology you said and got the jacks to work for the first time since I bought the MH.
Good Luck. 😀
great video I'm very newbie, with 38ft diesel, so this video was very helpful. one question on the levelmate pro. where you mount the device(s)

Haha lmao when they said don’t ask us how we know imma husband and I looked at eachother because that was us one time 😅
I got a power gear to but the low voltage light comes on do you have any suggestions thanks
How old are you batteries? Have them batteries checked. We had that issue and the batteries were at fault had to be replaced. Good Luck.
Great how to level instructions guys. Easy peasy😉👍
Thanks John!` 😃
You guys are the Best. Thanks for the video.
Thank you, we appreciate your comment!
Thank you very much@@GetGonewithUS . You 2 sure are nice
@@ronaldphillips8750 You are welcome and thank you for your comment.
Hi ! Very informative, thank you
Hi George. You are welcome. 😀
When you level, are you supposed to put the slide “IN” or “OUT”?
It seems to depend on the manufacturer. Check your owner manual. For our rig , it's level first, then slides out. 😀
LOL
Ken means the slide outs first.
Hi please how do you make your bigfoot to jack down and up because my can't jack down automatically
I've added fluid and electric is OK but it will not work automatically
Hi Kelly! Sorry, we don't have Bigfoot jacks, we have Power Gear jacks. We don't have an answer for you.
Great video I have always wondered what would be the best way to do this and you have answered it ! !
Man or Woman you explained it so well I can't wait to try this as soon as I get a Class A motorhome.
Does it make it any hard if you have like a 45' motorhome . I'm 65 and retired now have everything up for
sale to go with my wife and see America the Beautiful ! I hope its not long before I get out their, seems I
can't stand the wait. Thanks so much and I more than enjoyed the presentation of learning the correct way !
You are welcome Jeff! It doesn't matter the length of the rig, it is done the same. Good luck on going Full Time and seeing America, it's great! 😀
Very good video! Thank you
Thank you too!
Love our auto leveling and the SnapPads!!! Nice video!
So do we Lance. 😀
Where you guys get the jack pad stands.
You are correct, you cannot retract the jacks one at a time.
Thank you
You're welcome. 😀
Presume the Level Mate Pro has to be inside the vehicle when checking level ?
There is a part of the unit that gets mounted inside the RV and stays there. There rest is done with your phone.
I have a 91gulfstream friendship my auto leveling is a switch on the dash do I hold it till it's done or hit the switch and relice
I have no idea what system you have. What have you been doing to level until now?
I haven't leveled it sitting on pretty level ground it has controller on floor beside captain chair and a switch on the dashboard says auto level the manual is on the floor.
@@timothymccoy7585 I would try to find out who made them and if there is a manual to explain how they work. We have only worked with newer Power Gear Levelers.

What are the pads you added to the jack feet?

I don't know if you will see this question so long after this video, but I will ask anyway... We ended up bending one of our rear jacks and it will be a while we before we can get it fixed so we are wondering if you can use 3 out of the 4 jacks without causing more damage or not?
Not really sure if there would be stress damage or not. I wouldn't use them until they were fixed myself. Good Luck. 😀
Awesome video.
Thanks Wayne! 😀
Where do you buy the actual control of mine is not working and previous owner had set it up for manual control from the outside
I would get in touch with the manufacturer and ask them. Good Luck.
Great video, very informative. Curious why you prefer to manually level rather than use the automatic function?
Thanks Bob. Cheryl feels we get a better level from using the manual. We even reset the zero point on the leveler system using the Levelmate Pro and the carpenters level method, but it feels slightly off at times. Although I think it's because she enjoys trying to get all the numbers to zero instead of just making lights turn off! LOL

How long until they have a drive me pro ?
drive me pro?
I have fleetwood 36d have to rear jack frozen took it off can I use the other jacks?
Not sure, but I'd replace it before using the jacks. How would you level with only 3 jack if the jack that is missing is the lowest point?
is there a way to retract single side if we go to far? instead of retract all?
I believe on our system it is Retract All only. That being said, you don’t have to retract them all the way. If you release the button in manual mode they stop retracting and you can start again from where you stopped.
