The combat is so confusing at first but boy when you finally get it and pull this off, Xenoblade Chronicles 2's battle system becomes one of thee most satisfying ways the kill an enemy in a game.
I finally figured out some of the mechanics like 90 hours into the game. Very deep combat system and super fun! This is my favorite combat system of any JRPG.
@@exxzane I get what you mean, but you can't tell me getting to pull this 1:43, and watch your party absolutely annhilate the enemy with a burst of super high dmg attacks isn't peak gameplay
I love that the combat system will let you just keep wrecking their shit even after you've killed them. Overkill might give extra rewards, but we all know it exists because it's SATISFYING as FUCK.
First time I did this was in Torna. It took to me a loong time to learn how to use orbs to continue the Chain Attack. Re-playing Xc2 now is going to be so better and Yeasier
With the knowledge of blade combos i'm looking forward to doing some full bursts and i'm on the leftherian archipelago now so i might try. I have most of the blades in this video a.k.a: Mythra, Azami, Percival, Kora, Finch but i don't have dahlia yet
Frecumber 567 Once all 3 bars are full, you can press + button to start a chain attack. To make element orbs appear that you can break by using their opposing elements, you have to finish a lvl 3 blade combo. Each lvl 3 blade combo gives that enemy 1 element orb (enemy can't have multiple element orbs that are the same element).
At this point, it was the only rare blades Nia had, and I just started that chapter. I did not have rare blades like Vess like I do right now before that.
@@Twilitblack Annoyingly she's the only rare blade (Excluding NG+ Blades) that I have yet to pull. Thought fucking KOS-MOS would never happen but nup, Zeke got her in a couple of tries.
Though you progressivly learn blade combos as they're shown on the top-right as you do them there are charts to show you elemental 'paths' to help give you an idea how to set up your party to where you'll build up to multiple elements for this.

Imo it's still the best in the series
nah < X, 1, 3 will forever have a better one

Xenoblade 1 combat system is so much more satisfactory for me, especially in Definitive Edition. But yeah, this one isn't bad

2:01 Dromarch couldn't take the ownage that took place.
My man just yeeted himself out of the party.

dromarch jumping off the cliff at 2:01... WHAT?
I may or may not of done this on the final boss and did 4 million damage
Oh my god 😂
I hope Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is able to somehow top this combo system because damn I loved it so much!
Idk why people think the battle system is confusing, I got the hang of it very easily
Get a load of this guy
"Overkill start"
This game legit says "have at it!"

My first one had 700 000 damages, just perfect and funny
so much better than 3
Tis a shame that later on you only need 2~3 orbs to hit 10 mils cap damage..
Ventus S people did 9999999 damage with 0 orbs
What button do I have to press when I have everything ready to make a chain attack?
+ button
The plus button isn't working for me . All meters are charged and orbs are around the enemy
When I push the button nothing happens
Joseph Pickens what part of the game yur on?
And they were never heard from again
What button do you press to initiate a chain attack and do you have to do a 3rd level art to start it?

Why does nia have a tank and an attacker (and the same element for both)? Doesn't that mess up her healing?
At this point, it was the only rare blades Nia had, and I just started that chapter. I did not have rare blades like Vess like I do right now before that.
I'm just starting to sus this after 200 hours
Why does everything in this game have to be so complex?
Because not everygame have to be braindead easy and boring
its rather poorly explained than complex
Whydid dahlia damage 3 orbs
Her battle skill "spotlight" enables the chance for you to damage nearby elemental orbs during a chain attack.
Didn't know she could do that Thanks 😄

How do I actually get the orbs to appear?
finish a lvl 3 blade combo and the element you finish with will be one of the orbs that appear

wow, good job. The most orbs I have ever got is 4.
Steven Strnad The most I have gotten was 8.
The announcer sounds so bored lol
