- New Game Plus, accessible after completing the game, brings with it new unlockable blades, altered skill trees, and other exciting new features while carrying over almost all your progression. In this video, I go into detail about some of the biggest questions people have about New Game Plus, and showcase some of the most exciting new changes. That menu card at the end is so heartwarming. It really does show how Rex cares about Nia just as much as Pyra/Mythra. Even though it may not be seen that way to some.

I have a feeling Zeke is actually a blade (his father doesnt look like him at all, Zeke barely looks Tantalese) and his driver was the Kings wife whom he ate hence him leaving, and he had to make up that lie.

So I had this theory.... when I got to chapter 3, I saw Vandham stayed at the same level he was when I finished it in my first playthrough. So I had the idea to get him to lvl 99 by farming the Ancient Sauros in Gormott. No way they can kill a level 99 at lvl 30ish, right?

Lmao Vandham died to a level 60, this is what happens when you have no self sustain and a hp down/evasion.
I wish Akhos’s weapon was his actual bow, imagine a much faster loading Ether Cannon healer with Nia, kind of a let down if you ask me.
his weapon is a *scythe* but i would imagine it would be slower than an either cannon because you would have to draw back the arrow and then release to shoot, whereas the ether cannon probably has like a trigger or something.
Chipserz I wish severs weapon wasn’t like the knuckles, mainly because when Malos used it, it turns into a shield and a sword.

NG+ is easy mode is you stay your same level throughout. Like they have the data and assets for it. He even has battle quotes. Sucks he's only playable in chapter 7 :( even after NG+ was added.

Maybe if you say start new game and then choose newgame plus its different, but i started from the menu option that said new game plus. You may just be screwed now cuz your data is already overwritten.

Thanks, I was actually really shocked to find out there was a lot of confusion around how to get the 6 new blades, obviously excluding mik, but yeah no one directly said how you can get them, so its great to know I can get them early on with all my Pre-NG+ legendary Core Crystals.
I was starting to think I'd have to get them latter on, and resonate with their crystals like Roc, or do a side mission, but this method is chill, I can Cloud Save Refresh to cheat the unfair RNG.

ive noticed that a lot of the blade sidequests if you havent completed a leg of the quest resets too, say with elecra or agate, if you havent completed the numbers for one of the levels that will reset
You can also buy Poppi mods in the Land of Morytha and the World Tree with those Traveling Bards
So if all of the stages for tiger tiger are available right at the beginning we can still farm stage 5 for the Light Core element and master mods towarss the beginning of NG+ Right?

Actually another blade you don't get is the Unnamed core crystal that Gramps gives Rex in Torigoth, the blade it awakens is the same as it awoke on the first playthrough

I got confused because IIRC Sheba's core is called the Unnamed core crystal or something.

@@YoshiAteTooManyYoshiCookies I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Was a slow start, but for some reason it didn't stop me from getting hooked! I didn't put the game down until 400+ hours later, after finishing collecting all the blades (I love to take my time with games). If I grew up with this game series as a kid, it probably would've impacted me as hard as Kingdom Hearts did 🙌❤️❤️

Holy fuck this is insane. The main game already had a shit load of stuff to do, NG+ adds more. Then with the expansion pass, adds even MORE! And this is just the main game!! There's a prequel story game with even MORE content with its own new battle system and other mechanics. This just might be the best game on Switch.
Good thing i farmed 99 of each core crystal before doing new game plus to get those new rare blades

Thank you for this video again. Been going through NG + myself. Now that we can "buy" Overdrive Protocols as well as farm them, I'm rethinking the way I've distributed my blades between drivers. Roles? Modifiers? Other criterias? If you had to redistribute them, how would you do it? Keep up the good work!
I'm saving my Overdrives for when I find a build that needs a blade for a specific driver! For example, maybe I need Dagas active on a specific driver so that I can take advantage of his party wide damage boost! And thanks :)
I've finally started NG+!!!
I'm really happy I maxed out the core crystals cuz I got 5 new rare blades in chapter 1 but I didn't know Mikhail couldn't be opened so I wasted a bunch of boosters...
Before I put my time into NG+, How do you see the new skills you unlock in the affinity chart?

I killed all superbosses without a special team or something. By now I allready have a pretty strong team, and with NG+ it seems to only get even stronger. I just hope that the new story dlc will have a challenge where you will need all that advanced stuff.
There is a planned 'Challenge Mode' to be released prior to the New Story DLC! I'm looking forward to that :D

The best thing you can do at ng+ is start the game with level 1 and at the maximum difficult (herald of chaos).
Does anyone know if affinity node progress, such as having 250/600 blade combo finishers on poppi QT Pi carry over to NG+? Thanks in advance!

Ive got just one concern about NG+. Since story line blades like poppi's forms and Roc. Will they have their afinity tree's be reset as if they were completely new or will the have whatever you have one them before NG+?

Do you have to do all the rare blade quests again? I did all of the blade quests in my first playthrough. In other words, do they appear if you already completed them?
I havent started yet because I'm doing the Ursula quest, it's quite disappointing that everything goes back to level 1, I havent seen anyone list it but i'd like to see the hidden affinity chart in full
also do we know if the effect of the affinity chart break is as strong as legendary beta scope?
Retroagv on the plus side tho, Ursula's quest is by far the most useful for filling out Affinity Chart Nodes, so it's not a complete bummer, I purposely didn't compleye Ursula's quest the first time around in order to use it for filling out the Torna Blades Affinity charts easily.

I think it's silly that after they said NG+ was "for fun", they took away things like Rex's Master Driver skill or Nia as a Blade until they're unlocked normally.
If it's for fun, why take that stuff away?
StickFigure They wanted the story to make some sense, maybe? Why have a scene about Rex becoming a Master Driver or Nia becoming a Blade if you already had them?
Why have a scene of Shulk unlocking the power of the Monado in the first Xenoblade when he already has the True Monado on New Game+?
Players have already experienced the story before they can try NG+, there's no point in making them having to work through it again.
I mean, you still have Ascended Pyra. I don't have any problems with Nia not being able to use her blade form, or Rex losing his Master Driver skill. Plus there is more then just those 2 things you know. Like all the blades you have, all the blades you can get. And so on.
Same, especially because I traded all my rares away from Rex since he could use them anyway. At least I have some commons with good modifiers to make Mythra more powerful
And Poppi's manuals, which are apparently also lost until retrieved
