38% of the earth's land mass is now farmland, only 5% of the earth's land mass is covered by cities and suburban houses. The real driver of climate change over a long period is forest clearing to make farmland. No one is going to suggest turning this farmland back to wilderness, but it is obvious that this is the majpr change in our eco system. Talkfests wont change anything and the world's climate will continue to change as long as clearing forests for farmland continues. The world's population is the root cause of this, I doubt if there is any solution to this dilemma , the most likely scenario is a pandemic which will decimate our population, as it has done in the past.
