  • As the Generating Resilience and Opportunities (GROW) commitment notes, USAID “aims to deepen and scale its programming to reach, benefit, and empower more women around the world,” yet the evidence base on which approaches have the greatest impact, and under what conditions, is still emerging. This webinar highlighted one area - agricultural production - where there is a growing set of evidence on cost-effectiveness from the USAID Office of the Chief Economist, the Gender Equality & Women's Empowerment Hub, and the Bureau for Resilience, Environment, and Food Security (REFS) that can help drive resources toward approaches that benefit and empower women in agricultural settings.
Speakers included Dean Karlan, Chief Economist at USAID, and Caitlin Tulloch, Deputy Office Director and Team Lead for Evidence Use at USAID's Office of the Chief Economist.
