love how the professor is like all for free markets and whatever and immediately when it comes to media, he's like "the market isn't the whole picture" and "they are pandering to irrationality" -- and somehow that isn't the marketplace at work lol
That’s how it works pretty often with libertarians. When good things that’s literally alwaysbecause the market, however… when bad things that’s because in a roundabout way it HAS to have something to do with the coercive hand of gubment. They move blame and praise around in whatever way is convenient to their free market religion.
You can be for “free markets” yet call out issues that might be caused by free markets at the same time. Considering the massive impacts that an economic system has in a society, there are bound to be issues with it. The true question is if you can find some thing that will better in all aspects than the “free market”.
@@MithosDagon I don’t necessarily disagree here. My point was that libertarians often don’t think like that or else they would concede to the necessity of certain degrees of regulation which would make it, by definition, NOT a free market economy but instead a liberal market economy. I haven’t argued that capitalism is bad, but that libertarians, in my experience, are inconsistent and dishonest about the way they will grasp at straws to find a way to blame the government for something that has been caused within natural market affairs. Mandatory vaccinations are naturally unethical because it takes someone's basic right to informed consent/healthcare freedoms. How the f***k do Destiny and Vaush fail to understand that governments, the pharmaceutical industry (who caused COVID-19) and academic institutions have financial incentives for advertising the COVID-19 vaccines? Unbelievable bruh. This is why I said in my original comment the professor won the debate.

He had the strongest points and they were his own. I caught Vaush just parroting Destiny a few times. Even the outro statements.
but if you go thru it line by line. when talking about education, Destiny said "School". I dont know how a fucking building is going to make people more literate.

You think so? I thought Steve did great but Vaush made me cringe. He came across as so fake & elitist, like pretending he knew "many poor parents-to-be." Like... where? This came after he talked about how much money he made, mind you. This is the problem with the champagne socialists etc
@@scarlet8078 I totally know what you mean about Vaush and the way he was speaking, Lmao, but he wasn't bad in my opinion, a bit disingenuous sounding though throughout.

Vaush did fine here. I think people here have let the Destiny vs Vaush drama become part of their personalities to the point of repulsion just hearing him speak. Touching grass helps with that. Follow Destiny's advice and go be invested in the shit happening around you.
found myself agreeing with Vaush for the most part. This Destiny guy is a brilliant debater, however... is he self-taught without any secondary education? if so, that is super impressive.
the professor, i found myself disagreeing with a lot but at least he was consistent.'

The UA-cam Streamer: "get involved with local communities and local politics to make your voice heard"

love how the professor is like all for free markets and whatever and immediately when it comes to media, he's like "the market isn't the whole picture" and "they are pandering to irrationality" -- and somehow that isn't the marketplace at work lol
That’s how it works pretty often with libertarians.
When good things that’s literally alwaysbecause the market,
however…
when bad things that’s because in a roundabout way it HAS to have something to do with the coercive hand of gubment.
Why tf you type “free market” in quotes?.
@@MithosDagon The thing is that only fixes for free market's faults are regulations so idk man
