Yeah it does! I use a vm because I test a lot of software even older than that and also don't want to install potentially sketchy stuff on my host os. Plus it adds to the nostalgia :D
I definitely miss TS404 in the latest versions of FL Studio. Of course you can reproduce some of its features in 3xOsc or DX10, but it's not the same. I have a track from 2014 I wanted to update, and the arpeggio built upon TS404 is irreplaceable, so I'm just waiting for Image-Line to bring it back. 😅
I still remember one of my very first tracks where I basically just inputted random notes into the TS404 and somehow it sounded amazing 😂 It would be cool to get it back
@@omar_sacca yes, I fiddled around a bit with Transistor Bass, it's not the same in the way I used TS404. Yes you can program an arpeggio in Transistor Bass, but it feels more difficult in changing the chords (one of the things I need) and it differs in the sound features imo (Transistor Bass is better purposed for producing acid stuff, whereas TS404 is better for a more "digital" feeling). Transistor Bass feels better for live performances too!
@@NimbusAbi Yes that's what I'm thinking. Copyright stuff is a concern though, a lot of these programs have demo versions available but some of them are so old that demo versions weren't really a thing yet. So even if it's considered abandonware there's really no legal way to obtain the programs without getting lucky and buying a physical copy off ebay or something. It may not be a concern yet but if the channel grows I don't want to have to deal with any problems.
"I didn't know the playlist existed"
Finally. someone understands.
The interface of fl2 & young sytrus, charming. Would love to be able to re-skin natively.
Awesome video, btw FL 5 works just fine in Windows 10/11, I still use it all the time

Damn, first FL I used was FL8
FL Studio 11 was my first version, I was 8 years old 🥲
4:50 Benn Jordan/The Flashbulb still does that.
Very nice! Videos on FL2 are so so rare!! 😂 I also made a drum and bass video on it

@@nanospiraI Well, Image-Line did resurrect the previously 32-bit only (and hence, discontinued) 'SoundFont Player'. So, anything is possible! :)
Wait.. so fl2 had almost a thousand tracks in the playlist?
That's clearly superior to newer versions!
yeah haha 😂 switching to fl2 for good
Oof, I wonder if FL5 had auto saving features yet.
holy moly :'D
But the retro vibe is kinda interesting 🤔
software archaeology is my new favorite hobby :D
@@nanospiraI could be an intetesting series, digging up old music tools and vsts

@@nanospiraI i think there is a lot of interesting old vst freeware around, but compatibility might be an issue
