so my d light is flashing on acura tl 06 an wont engage while in drive an when i use slap stick the gear numbers wont show on display d ight only one flashing what do i do
I have a 2004 Acura TSX. Last week the neutral light started flickering on the dashboard. Then the Drive light started. It was pretty sporadic to begin with. Then, one day when I shifted it into park I could hear a clicking / grinding noise coming from the shifter!! This week it became more frequent and I heard the noise in the shifter about 5 times today (I deliver car parts and put 1,000 miles on my car every 2 days, delivering 4 days per week). Someone is running a diagnostic on it tomorrow, but I want to be sure I don't get taken to the cleaners!! I read online that it could be the neutral safety switch, or a related relay or fuse. A mechanic also mentioned it could be a faulty ground, but I don't think that's it (although ever since I've had the car it seems to have a weak start when I crank the engine (even when I put in a brand new battery)). What do you think it sounds like from what I described? Thanks for your help! Oh, and can you tell me what a reasonable amount they should be charging me to fix it?
At point in time hit pothole today for a Acura tl 05. While driving Suddenly my car doesn't want to shift in to park. So car can only shift to drive and Neutral and Amazed that after you shift it to neutral does want to go in Reverse or park. HELP ME PLZ?!!! WITH Some Pointers. THANK YOU!
I have a 2004 Acura TL the problem I'm Experiencing is shifting from park into drive my first gear is engaging intermittently when I make a complete stop at a traffic light, no lights on the dash and no codes, but sensitive to speed bumps or bumps in the road...I was told the inner Sprag is going bad and which is an internal Transmission problem and would require a rebuild 😞... Has Anyone experience this issue please advise you're help would be greatly appreciated!

I just bought this car and the previous owner did not mention any transmission problems and I already spent a lot of money on maintenance items and now trying to decide if Its worth changing the transmission. Michelle Wright I had mines rebuilt for 4,200 with 3 years warranty. One thing I will advice you is to religiously maintain the transmission fluid to protect your investment. Mines had a bad sprag and a torque converter issue. My warranty has expired and the transmission is still running strong. I strongly recommend only adding Honda genuine fluid and nothing else. I service these at the dealer I work in at every 15k miles to 20k miles. It all depends how much you like this car.

07 acura tl, my D light was flashing, a few weeks later, i know it haves to do with this part aswell, now the reason am here, cus i have hard shifting 2nd gear and 4th gear, i saw a video of hard shifting but there were working on a Kia Optima and its was hard shifting, so they replace the range sensor, google pull up this video, dont k ow if anhone here expirience the same hard shifting and how did you fix it? Yesterday noon I was on my way to work, my 05 Acura TSX 5speed Auto was running good no issues until I got into the freeway the car wasn’t picking up speed like if it was on neutral. I got a code P0756. Can anyone please tell me what this is.
Julian Perez it will not pick speed because it will not shift. It won’t shift because of solenoid B may have a foreign material or the solenoid itself is defective
Hello someone knows how to fix the code p0816 on a acura tl the code is for downshift switch circuit failure the d position light is brinking and the check engine light is on.my mechanic told me the pressure selenoid was bad i changed and the problem continuos.if somebody have any information in how to fix the problem let me know thank you
I went over a nasty pothole recently and it shut off my stereo/upper display and Navi...when I got to work the car would not shift into park. Had to use the manual override. It also would not shift into Drive without the manual override. Could the NSS be the issue???
Ruben Fabela I️ would inspect it specially if the pot hole impacted the vehicle on the driver side mostly which is where the NSS is located. This unit is made out of plastic and it may have suffered physical damage. Perhaps an internal component may have broken and it’s preventing the car to shift to Park.

My mechanic told me is was the dual pressure selenoid i changed with the new one from honda and the car still had the same issues then he told me to change the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switch i changed with the new one too and nothing same issue now he want me to change the neutral safety switch and i dont know im not very sure that it is the problem. The transmission shift like new one no issue with that what s your recommendation can i go and try with the neutral switch ?

Dose it damage ratio as well it wont turn on just a Plane Lights on the screen?? Because everything happened at once.

And I got a obd2 scanner also with that code.

Did you leave your car in Neutral while changing your part? Or was it left in park?
