This is the first time I am seeing your channel, I feel like I'm at a friend's house watching and visiting. Makes me very comfortable thank you for being a real person I truely enjoyed and will look for more.
I'm am ployclay artist and this is a lovely flower. It takes a ton of practice to do these canes, so if you are watching it took me a couple years to do a decent cane that didnt warp in image in the middle, don't give up! She's a great teacher and hard on herself. But she should not be, They are all perfect! ❤
This cane is so pretty. I liked seeing some of your thought processes. My husband has a theory that if a workspace is untidy it's because you're so busy creating things, you don't have time to clear everything away and creating is more important. Also about your hands and nails. I find well manicured painted nails distract me from what I am trying to watch so I'd rather see hands like yours. Thank you for sharing.
I am literally today deciding to jump from resin art to throwing in some polymer clay jewelery and you are just what I needed. Very down to earth and easy going. I feel like I will be able to follow along with your video and get a decent first flower cane. I for one am very happy you were bored and did a video. You have a new subscriber and I appreciate your fun honest attitude. Would love to see your lampwork.
You popped up in my feed & I’m so glad you did! I’m not good at making cane. They never come out how I want them to, so I decided I need to do something simple & this is perfect! I love your color combos! I’m really bad at that too! Thanks for overcoming yourself fear & creating this video! You did a great job! Hope the pups enjoyed their walk, too! 😁
Beautiful❤ this is the first time I watched a cane being made. I saw a miniaturist make dollhouse crockery with a blue and white floral motif using a cane but found it difficult to follow, yours was much more understandable and the result is gorgeous!
I just want to take the time to say I’m a very newbie with polymer clay and today I decided to give this a try as I’ve never did anything like this before. I made my very first 6 petal flower cane, I even made the centre part :D Thank you very much for showing me how to do them. I think I’m now hooked as I’ve seen another one on your channel that I want to do :)
Apparently I fell asleep watching polymer clay videos and this was half watched. Cannot express how excited I am to wake up and start it over. 🤣 This is so gorgeous!
I love this flower cane and all the different colors are great! Thank you for this video, I have watched so many videos and never felt I could do the flowers, I am sure that I have watched some similar to this but never even thought that I should try, watching you be you and just going with it I can't wait till the morning to do it not just try but do IT!!! I. may just jump out of bed and get started, I won't even need coffee. Thank you, wish you had more videos, please think about doing a video when you sit down to play with clay!
These are beautiful. Thank you for sharing your expertise. I love your laid back approach while still including the measurement details which I love. PS I ordered the same glass mat for my working surface. Thank you for that as well. Cheers.
I'm new to your channel. I LOVE THIS tutorial so much. You explain this method so perfectly! I'm going to try this weekend. Feeling encouraged😍 Thank you so very much for taking the time to teach. Your instruction is perfect😍
Just stumbled upon your video and you are real, who cares about messy when your creating a masterpiece. Your cane turned out beautiful. I so enjoyed you being you and your explaining is just what I needed. thank you for sharing and keeping it real..🤩😍🤩😍🤩😁😁😁😉
Thank you. When we finally realize it's not gonna be perfect, is when we put out our best work. When we struggle to make everything perfect, we end up getting frustrated that we just quit. I had to stop being a perfectionist because it took all the fun away and I could never find perfection... You'll do just fine
Love the tutorial!! Can't wait to give it a go! Petal color combos: dark center with white outside, like magenta to white, or teal to white; magenta to light pink; light yellow to deep yellow; or any same color gradient; turquoise and chocolate; turquoise and pink.
Thanks so much for a great tutorial! I love all the flowers in your garden, including the 'interesting' one! Very enjoyable listening & learning from you as you go along!
I really love your natural delivery and this video has encouraged me to try this. I haven’t yet touched the clay I ordered and now I’m excited to start - not with this, something simple but one day I’ll give this a go ❤
As with the others, you also jumped up and I'm equally glad you did! Your realness in your tutorial eliminates being too intimidated to try. I'm left feeling very optimistic that I took can do this! Your color combinations a great. I want to see your glass work! I hope you have more tutorials. I hit subscribe without hesitation😁😁 Thank you for this video, a day well spent!
Thank you so much. I love this vid. Helps that you don’t think you’re tech savvy or organised cause my space is no where near as organised as yours, beautiful personality. Easy to understand.
@@TheCreativeDork5 can't think of anything in particular right now but I am looking forward to your next video. Something else for spring/summer would be nice. Maybe we can summon the warm weather by making summer things lol it was below freezing here the last 2 nights
You’re right to conserve your clay. It’s just about impossible to get here in Indy. Your flower is amazing! I would never have put the purple on it and it worked so well! Gave your petals more definition. Job well done and I like your style of teaching!
So fun to find a new polymer clay artist--thank you for publishing your work! Your voice is just great to listen to, and there are some artists that I mute! Your dogs weren't noticeable at all, and it's fun to have imperfect videos anyway... Your cane came out beautiful! Keep doing them, you have a new subscriber in me. P.S., I have been doing polymer clay off/on for about 32 years!
Oh my God!!! They're BEAUTIFUL!!! I love love love the one you made on the video, it's definitely my favourite colour combination!! So fresh and life life life!!! I love it!! You're so talented!!!
I love it. AND I learned more from your video than any other I have watched. I like the way you have little slip ups and changes of mind because I do and feel a real failure. Going to try that now. So many steps though.
You do a wonderful way of making a cane and showing how to do it. I used your method but mine turned out a litter wonky. I would put a picture on here to show you I don't know how to do that!!!
Awsome!! I want to see some of your glass works too! Not sure if your posting it. So enjoyed watching this. Keep posting and it won’t be long before UA-cam is paying you, forget the shows, 😆
I agree with your philosophy of not wasting anything. If everyone was like that the World wouldn't be in such a horrible state. Our Planet has finite resources, so why waste what you have? I believe in recycling and a circular economy. Recycle EVERYTHING. If you're a crafter, this includes as much packaging as you can. We are priveleged to have online shopping. So privileged.
These are absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait to try and make some in a lot of different colors. Thanks for sharing your video with all of us. Awesome Job
You are awesome and I love the flower canes you make!! I am just trying to learn to make cane as I have started making polymer fairy mushroom houses for my friends and family as gifts. In your video you explain things slowly and concisely so that it is easy to follow and learn!! I have watched so many videos and they work and talk so fast that you have to keep revising what they are doing. I am keen to use the a dark blue, turquoise and white to make a peacock type cane to use on the roof of my next mushroom and as I have failed each other time You have given me the confidence to try your technique to make the and this beautiful flower!! Look forward to seeing more of your videos thank you!!
Super Tutorial. I haven't tried doing a cane yet, but you've given me encouragement to try. Love the detail in your explanation of each step. I've subscribed to your channel and stared some other of your tutorials to watch.
I really like your interesting cane. It reminds me of a cluster of little flowers arranged in one cane. I would enjoy a "how to" video on that one.😊 It is nice to have one big flower. And unique to have a cluster of little flowers in one cane.
Try fuchsia and yellow with orange and white center, turquoise and yellow with purple and white center, and red and yellow with turquoise and white center.

Sounds like you have a supportive husband. I hate mess but it happens to all of us huh? Thanks for your comment
I 100% agree about the manicured hands. Very distracting. It seems that often they are just wanting to wave their hands around more than demonstrate.
