The Parsun would be the only one I'd consider. They are big in Australia and make the Coleman ones at Fleet Farm. Even then I'd have a hard time spending real money on one
#2 is cheaper than a mercury 3.5hp, but also the first one is the copy of a Yamaha but also, i don’t care if my outboard is a cheap Chinese outboard if I can maintain it right and keep it going that’s all I need
Hey I ordered a sweatshirt and hat March 12th and still haven't received them. I'm a big fan, just wondering what's going on. Wanted to show it off fishing
$15000 for electric motor, What about speed control, a (HUGE) battery and charger $$$$$. NO! Buy a Parsun only if I couldn't find anything else. Else, meaning the other 7 on the list. Parsun engines have one significant disadvantage: spare parts for them are almost impossible to find. The same problem is with Sail motors, which also claim to have more or less quality assembly. Thank you Jordan.
@@TeamMarineService Thanks, thinking of getting self contained electric kicker. I have one in mind. Waiting to see what Mercury electric motor has coming out here soon. Flhope sounds good I guess if they could prove that there whole system is reliable and can fish more then 8hrs $15K sounds about right. Double that of gas 60hp.
I'm in China for 20 years! I'm happy to watch how you punish them! Please more video about Chinese junk! I have a long time experience with Chinese partners. They are newer and deeply understand about what products they made!
Ive heard semi decent/okay reviews on the parsun outboards, and yes as per your review it sounds like they are buying old tooling and either licensing or manufacturing older legit OEM products. Good luck getting a shop to work on one though!
Man you had me rolling Andy 🤣. A lower competitor to Tohatsu... not even close. Tohatsu's are tough, fast, and reliable at least 140hp and less. These motors can't even compare.
@@evinrudeboy6601 I agree I've been a Tohatsu owner since 2000. When I wore down my old two smoke one I bought a 4 stroke in 2016 and currently have over 300hrs on it with no issues
The was the time when Americans laughed from Japanese cars :))). There Chinese motors coming around now. Thousands sold in Russia and Europe. Parsun bin around since 2006 .
I'd never. No way no how. I am about to buy a suzuki 175 to recover my triton leaving mercury after 51 years cause they suck now the suzuki is hands down best choice in florida. They just don't break
If you do run one of the motors in your tank to forget the golden rule of comparative testing. You got to run a fairly new Merc or yammer, same technology , the same way. N=1 is not statistically significant.
Yamaha has a design that actually is the same as Johnson and evinrude! I can pull one of my white winged 1950's that will prove the best ever made. Still millions in use and only 75 years old. The best ever
I remember when your grandfather talked about Japanese cars like you talk about China O/B technology and they cleaned our clocks in one generation. I had many engineers from China work for me. They all had advanced degrees and could do anything the American engineers can do. That all it takes. A lot of those parts in those engines are exported to Japan, Korea and USA. Start looking at casting marks on newer engines or inspection crayon markings on USA motors and you will see some very small casting symbols in Chinese script. They are capable of matching almost any product at an equivalent quality level unless their customer in Europe or USA tells them to go cheap. They make what they are told to make.
The ones that are 90% compatible with Yamaha r lower end Yamahas without the Yamaha logo that makes the motor worth $50,000 so like how Audi makes Volkswagen or Honda makes Acura I think it's kind of something along those lines but only the ones that are 90% compatible with Yamaha they're coming out of the Yamaha factory.
So are we doing this thing or what ? Lol alot of people trying to do electric now. I dont think electric will ever be the way. And I really do wanna see these Chinese motors and what they can do. Well not the weed eater one lol
Wow is all I can say! Kinda makes me wanna try to convert my Stihl trimmer into a kicker motor! Lol
Now you gotta do it Burner Account!!!
🤣🤣🤣 No Speed, No Money & It Breaks! Don't be underestimating Jordan's comical genius! Great work guys!
Hahaha he can be crafty sometimes!
Alright who's going to be brave enough to buy one of these? Ha
Don’t hold your breath 😭😭😭
Not it!
If we buy one you gonna make a video about it let water test it 😂😂😂😂
Pleeeeeeeaaase buy one of those and see how long it holds up. 😆

This is one of the funniest videos i have ever watched. Its amazing what kind of junk is out there.
Thanks for the review!!!! Hilarious, entertaining, and educational!!! Had no idea these even existed!
Catch me running the Parsun or the Sail!
No Jordan! You ain't gonna be running any of these! Haha
The 60 horse mercury should be on this list too lol
Awesome content andy I literally chuckled and shook my head at every motor
Probably the worst list Jordan has ever compiled!
Any update on actually getting one ordered before spring ? Would make good content
Those tom-king $88 things should come with an ice auger attachment ... they look like one.
Haha they totally should!
Like Coleman making upright air compressors. LOL ! 🤣 Yeah. Been there done that. Junk.
This was the most entertaining video I've watched in a while. I absolutely loved it!
Heck Yeah Matt! Glad ya liked it!

Same.
Same as yamaha!
pulling up to the bass tournament with a 250 hp parsun on a brand new skeeter .....😂😂😂😂

J-U-N-K!!!!
Heck some of those don't look too bad. If it means you can get a motor and go fishing, why not? Especially the two stroke motors.
Gotta risk it for the biscuit!
“Unknown Electric outboard” WTH is that!?
Get the 15 etec I'm interested just to make a video and review. Send me one and I'll review it for you 🙏😂

Here's an example of an electric outboard from china in action. Son of a bitch is louder than a Mercury 450r: ua-cam.com/video/y5X9HPGiezU/v-deo.html

Aren't the lower horsepower mercs made in China with different gear ratios as well
I think yall should buy the most legit one, in hopes you actually get it and if you do for some reason actually get the motor, do a torcher test.
Definitely gonna happen!
Any would go nicely on a Nitro
Hahaha Yes!
China 50hp Mercury outboard first time out lower unit failed 😢 bought from Bass pro be aware no lower units warranty In USA
Aren't some the mid size Mercury's built in CHina? We have a 60hp Merc on our pontoon it is the roughest running engine I have been around
Everyone do Know Evinrude is going Eletric
My spidy sense is tingling............. scams
Parsun and Sail have been over here in New Zealand for over 10 years. they dont last bust run ok. have seen some Parsun 25hp run in kids race boats.
Curious why you did not include Mercury , which is made in CHINA...
40-60 hp! ;)
