      They did. It was a .32ACP version of their TCP, called the PT732. It was not a big seller. Unlike the Kel-Tec version, it did not hold any more rounds in its magazine than its .380ACP version did.

    It's nice to see that they're on the website as available for sale. Other people reviewing them said that they're not on the market yet. They're cool looking guns and I would like to get one for myself... but I just worry they're going to be the same as the PT-22, but just cosmetically different. I guess the slide and magazine are both supposed to be much easier to use though (easier to rack the slide and easier to load the magazine)... so those are good upgrades. Wish I had one of each to compare the triggers.

    Pocket pistols/mouse guns are my fav! This one looks pretty cool. My EDC is a Ruger LCP that has been heavily modified. My "fun" one is a .22 WMR Black Widow revolver. The collectible is a Raven Arms MP-25. Just because they're small doesn't mean they're incapable, though I'd question the efficacy of .25ACP

  • @keithtate1241

    I currently have the PT22 and I am hearing that the slide is easier to manipulate but my main concern is the trigger pull. While I have been accurate with my PT22 it has the longest and heaviest trigger of any of my pistols, "including SCCY". I have heard that the TUC 22 has a heavier trigger than the PT22 and if that's the case then I don't want one no matter the other improvements. Thanks for the video 😊.

    Re hash of the old PT22. I carried a PT22 for 19 years when I needed deep concealment. Carry load was 40 grain Minimag which was very reliable. Other ammo not so much. Frame cracked after 23k rounds and Taurus replaced it. I would agree with the poster that wanted a 32.

  • @Pheardom
    @Pheardom Місяць тому +2

    According to the Taurus website, the TUC weighs 10oz even, which is 1.30z lighter than their older variation of the PT-22 and 1.2oz lighter than the LCP2 in 22lr, but even so, I'm a little disappointed.
    The Ruger LCPMax is 10.6oz and it's a 380 (go figure why the LCPMax is lighter than the LCP2 22lr, but it is what it is). Whereas the Kel-Tec P32 is only 6.8oz, the significant advantage for pocket carry.
    For pocket carry, actual pocket carry, suit or shorts, weight matters.
    The Berreta Bobcat comes in at 11.8oz but it's expensive and wide with the walnut grips (but it does come with a threaded barrel which could be game changer for some)

      I'm still in awe at how well that stuff works in smaller handguns. I'm surprised they were able to make such a fast burning powder without the pressures being too high. When it comes to .22's though, the barrels are over-built compared to many other guns/calibers... but there are some .22's with some very thin barrels. The Jennings J22 for example has a barrel liner that's only like 0.050" thick. When I got a parts kit for one, I couldn't believe how thin the barrel was. It does get surrounded by a fairly thick layer of ZAMAK, but I don't think that really adds strength at all. Have heard of J22 barrels exploding too... so I probably wouldn't shoot Federal Punch ammo in one if I wanted it to last... or at the very least I would test fire it and inspect the parts to make sure there are no defects or cracks that will cause the gun to blow up. (I still don't understand how thin walled some revolver cylinders are from the inner chamber walls to the outer diameter of the cylinder. Some of them get almost paper thin, but still never blow up).

      @jftuvell 15 днів тому

      I have a NAA Sidewinder (very similar to a Pug) and now I’m thinking about the TUC for my mouse gun. The NAA revolver is beautifully made and, after a few adjustments by the factory, very reliable. However, I would describe its accuracy level as “elevator gun.” If your target is farther than 7’ away…It’s not easy to hit. The TUC looks like you may actually be able to hit something consistently at 21’.

      That sucks. I've heard mostly good things about the G3C, but have barely ever heard anything bad about them. I think the main problem people had with them was the cheap finish on the slide that's supposed to be very durable, but isn't. (or at least they get cosmetic damage very easily).

      @Soli_Deo_Gloria_. Місяць тому

      That sucks... I've been EDC a G3C going on three years... and it is flawless at every range trip... I've put about 500 rounds down the barrel... but mine is a sample of one... 🤷‍♂️
      Edit flawless with 115 grain, but not with 147 grain as the {ogive} is shallow and it won't allow a larger projectile to fully seat in battery... I was upset over this at first but am long over it aas I'm OK with 115 grain... and like I said it functions great.... But beware if you're wanting to chamber larger projectiles... Maybe Taurus addressed this but I would research it....

      @deucedeuce1572 Місяць тому

      @@Soli_Deo_Gloria_. No 124gr? There are a lot of good 124gr rounds. I don't know if Xtreme Defenders will be any better than the 147gr, because of their shape... but they're amazing self defense rounds. The only reason I don't have them myself is because I can't afford them. The .380acp is a good self defense round in my opinion... but when it comes to the Xtreme Defenders, they are better in .380acp than the vast majority of rounds in 9mm... and their barrier blindness of both soft and hard targets is unparalleled. I've never seen another round that even compares.

      The slide is about 2/3" shorter than a BG 2.0. The grip is about the same length. The Bodyguard 2.0 is a far superior gun in a far more capable defensive round, though. Unless someone has severely arthritic hands and can't operate the slide on the BG 2.0, the S&W is the way to go for a pocket gun.

    VERY mixed reviews on this gun from other channels! From runs okay if you pick the right ammo, to the gun failing and coming apart in the shooter's hand! All say the same thing about it having a very long and horrible trigger. With so many mixed reviews from good, to bad. to so unreliable don't carry! I went to my local gun shop and range to try one out. My take, trigger pull was just awful and not just from the long pull. I had many failures with lots of different ammo, from light strikes, to failure to extract and failure to feed. Did I end up buying one? After watching me struggle with it, the shop owner refused to sell it to me! He knows he'll get other sales and wants to keep me happy. The purpose of this gun is as a carry gun/pocket pistol and as such I would NEVER trust my life to one. Well that's my personal take on it, your own experience might be different. Full Disclosure, I own 9 other different Taurus firearms and love them all.
