Awesome job definitely going to use this when I'm making my Captain America cosplay you should next year if you get the time teach people how to make the Captain America's shield
Thank you so much for doing, and posting these. I am just at the painting stage of the chest armor for my son's costume, and these are landing in the Pike 5 by 5, right on time. Thanks again!!
Very good timing, i've recently started playing the Fireteam Elite game and got remotivated to build my Colonial Marine armor as well. Really excited to see your full set of armor once you get everything done!
These are great, I just last night cut out your template for youir hero armor I'm going to make Nightwing with, I may use these too. I bought a bunch of HD foam so I can make a ton of stuff.
First of all, I want to write this comment to show my gratitude for your works. You're always clear and professional, and very skilled. Maybe you can be interested in a shark mask's tutorial; I'd personally love a video like that. Try to consider the idea! Good luck with everything!
Working on these now. Really fun alltho i can see why contact cement comes in handy. Only using super glue atm and its a bit of a pain on big pieces. :)
Nice, ill be using this for my odst cosplay, i used the original tenplates for shin and knee, they were separated, but the knee was too clunky and always moved
DUDEEE! I JUST LOVE YOU. I'M STILL WORKING ON MY DOOMGUY COSPLAY AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IN WAS LOOKING FOR! Btw , just curious , you planning to release templates and tutorial for thigh armour that compliment these ones?
Sweeeet! I was so ready to see you continue the Colonial Marine armor process! I also see you got some slick, screen-accurate camo pants; did you get 'em from Chef's Creations, or Spatcave, or somewhere else?
HD-Foam is easier to work with while also cutting cleaner and sanding smoother than other products. Plus since it is high density the surface is smoother, doesn't dull blades as quickly, and is easier to manipulate for compund curves. Just try it once and I promise you'll see the difference 👍
hey! I was watching your videos and I had a question, how do I know what size I have to print the template? the templates I've already printed from other channels were always on A4 paper. The item in question I want to make is the superhero chest armor, and like, I'm 5'7'' or 170cm, and I don't know in what size to print the square of the template. If it's not a problem, could you explain it in a video?
For the clips.. how strong is that level of hot glue and super glue? did you have videos of testing the strength in general? that would be cool to see as I have not seen any video of that type so far. Still as always, your tutorials are so easy to follow. Much apricated as always
The hot glue is cool temp so I can use my fingers. The superglue is a medium gel and is really the workhorse. Rarely do I use hot glue unless it’s for tacking fabric
How long does a piece like this usually take you? I've been working on my own cosplay but due to work it's taking forever, which is kinda bringing me down.
Hey Steve, How do you get those 30° cuts so perfect? The beveled cuts I did on the armor came out pretty awful, but I was still able to glue everything together and it isn't noticeable, but these look like they need to be pretty accurate with the angle. Any tips on getting a good 30° angle cut?
Hey Steve! Once again, awesome tutorial! You have one for the M41A PULSE RIFLE? (I ordered a kit from someone on etsy on the 7th, and dude didn't even ship it yet,... already the 22nd) Was hoping to be able to show all this off for all the crazy upcoming Halloween parties.
Check out more of my complete builds, walkthroughs, and HD-Foam at www.SKSProps.com
Phew, finally finished these two badboys. Man the painting took days! :)
Thank You Steve. Your tutorials are so helpful so I don't have work so hard to make my own armor for my cosplays. 1000 stars.

More pieces for my tool kit. Your stuff just keeps getting better and better. Thanks, Steve!

I discovered your channel in prep for ren fest, and it’s amazing. My only request is that you do more knight armor/doom videos because I’m a tad lost
Dude, YES. I have this and the Wolverine patterns ready to begin. I'm planning on making an X-Force version using these parts.

You can make the tactical vest chris redfield resident evil vendetta.
you should try making a black myth wukong armor é it would def be a cool project

You could easily add additional details to make it look more high tech like his armor 👍

can you make a mandalorian vibroblade? i'm trying to do a mandalorian cosplay and can't find a good vibroblade
No plans on any Star Wars props until they start putting out good content again.
Just what i needed, great video!
How do you keep the angled cut even? Do you use some 30degree support or do you just wing it?
You can make the cut freehand, use a beval or angled utility knife cutter, or an angled cut plate on a scroll saw or bandsaw
You should do upper leg armor

I’m in Canada, is there any way to get HD foam shipped to me?
Blick can ship but you’d have to contact them for costs. Several Canadians drive down to the states to purchase and take back.
Hey man! Could you do Wolverine’s shin guards? From the new movie? Its the only piece from my armor set that i’m missin!
just modify these to work
