First Fender guitar I ever saw (NOT a picture in a catalog) was a brand new 1959 or 1960 Custom Esquire in cherry sunburst ... I was somewhere between 11 and 13 years old and it knocked my socks off.
Not to trivialize an over-used term, but just awesome! Your playing brings out the very soul of this guitar. The simplicity of it makes it fantastic. I can honestly say that the Esquires has to be my favorite electric guitar.
Had one of those Vox reissues from 2000, with one greenback and one blue alnico in it. Most I ever got to turn it up to was about 7 and there was no breakup. That must have been deafening in that room.
Matthew Grimm It’s a non master volume amp. Just the single volume knob. Turned up to 3/4 and hit with humbuckers in a 83 Yamaha SG1000 and a 91 PRS Custom 24 and it was loud loud and clean. Maybe if I could have turned it up more, but I would have had someone on the block call the cops if I did. I remember jumpering the channels from time to time but maybe I didn’t think to try it that time I was trying it cranked up. That might have worked.
@@christianlacheze3323 I agree, but it takes a bit out of the value. I'm sure they bet on the fact it's been Brian Ray's anyway to ask for an outrageous price... Not even daring to display it !...
Call for price: they don't even dare to write it down on the board... must be another of those cheapos :-))) Anyone out there for grabs: Billy Gibbons ? John 5? Bonamassa ?
Randy Rhoads on a 61 Esquire is something I didn't expect to hear but I love it.

My favorite guitarist, Syd Barrett played a 1962 Esquire.
Man, that Jason Isbell “Elephant” opening was KILLER.
Mr Crowley on an Esquire sounds "vintagly" killer :D eheheh
Beautiful old Esquire here, and phenomenal playing! I love those big, dark chords.
Aaron giving Randy his due! Right on, Aaron!

This really reminded me about how good of a song writer Randy Rhoads was.

Sure u were using the amp channel volumes correctly. Never owned a vox that wouldn't break up good

Maybe he was using a boost or overdrive pedal to get some grit out of it. I agree a non master volume AC30 is brutally loud and clean
Absolutely killer! 🤘🏻
Beautiful combo!
Sounds killer.
Killer cleans!
You should have played some Jeff Beck with this gear IMHO.
I would dig it
Gawd how I love Esquires! "Call for price"=I can't afford it even if I sold my car😭
Let a local luthier build one for you!
Something tells me that Aaron would make a cheap, Chinese guitar and practice amp sound killer.
Yep: it's all in the fingers ! No need for a 6 figure priced instrument...
@@frantisca However, a six figure instrument in the hands of someone with good finger tone is a thing of beauty.
The medium Jumbo's definitely a plus.
Man you weren’t joking about being able to dig in.
That intro music is killer. What is it?
What is that he’s playing pray tell someone great tone👍
around 7:07 its Ozzy Osbourne - Mr. Crowley riffs & solo.
I think the first song is Elephant by Jason Isbell
Did you take the the vox apart as well}?🤔
Which overdrive was used?
How much for the vox
Too bad not maple neck. But that is my taste
...now hook it up to a tape echo!
You guys charge like double though.
Can’t knock that Randy Rhoads bit though.
Great original guitar, except for the P/U rout, the changed frets, the tuners that were put back on, and a few touched up areas. Not original...!
Changed frets = changed tires on a car. No frets last 60 years

Routed=value drop, bummer.
Nothing original about It at all then !
