The ship breaking process shown here is from Pakistan. The local dresses of the labor make it abundantly clear. Still I am surprised to see how name of Pakistan is avoided. This industry ranks among the top three in the world.
Not surprised that there is only 7:00 minutes out of 20:15 of actually ship's being scraped, it is extremely dangerous work with a high percentage of injuries and deaths. The owners of the ship breaking yards do not want any publicity or outside eyes on their operations. Jounalist and others have tried to get close, but it's not safe.
Many reasons. No environmental laws, little or no worker safety protection, extremely low wages, use of child labour. India, China and Bangladesh are the leaders, followed by Pakistan, those are the reasons it is done in those countries.
Should have told them you were _Delon Musk_ and offered them a pack of _beedies_ to smoke. They would have put you under the tent running the engine that pulls the fronts off the ships. E-Z-Peazy job, _Delon._
This was the worst video of just about any topic I’ve ever seen. All together you showed about 3:30 minutes of actual ship breaking footage. The rest was completely unrelated and uninteresting.
yet all you done was to state the fact.....there was your chance to add something profound and enlightening......oh well...... here's one for you......"don't eat yellow snow"

0:00 to 7:00 is ship breaking, everything from 7:02 to 20:16 is useless and unrelated to the title.
Yea I came to see ships torched apart and ended up watching as much seaweed harvesting as ship deconstruction!
This is one of the most dangerous professions in the world
One life a day.
My greatest respect for this wrecking crew doing this work! God bless them!
Using some PPE might be more efficient than a blessing.
Most of the video unrelated to the title.
I wish the individual clips were longer. Very interesting.

Is it because they pollute the rivers with oil and fuel when they break open the tanks?

A lot of steel there. Crazy how those things can even float.
This industry takes one life a day.
Most hard working people in Pakistan🇵🇰
how poluted must that beach and sea be !!
Very with fuel waste, toxic lead , and tons of asbestos that insulated everything hot on those ships. 😮

How long does it take to break such a ship down
It was put together by hands…..it will taken apart by them too..
How careful are they letting oil and gas and other pollution into the beaches and water?
The oil and gas are organic compounds. Mother nature made it she knows how to get rid of it.
Yeah right! 😂
I tried to get into the Alang ship breaking yard in India, the guards tossed me out, no white boy allowed.
Nobody cares 🤡🤡🤡
Nobody is checking them how they break it down. They dont even have mask or gloves
Why would you wanna work there lol. They don’t want you there because you have to basically be a slave to be there

Incrível 🎉
6:37 great for aerodynamics haha On a serious note, it's amazing how these ships are recycled.
