Thank you Mike! I agree, the horn section makes me crazy LOL. No horns when they do it live. I absolutely love this performance.
Ready for more? For a totally different sound from them, check out “I Appear Missing” or “The Vampyre of Time and Memory”. There is a video for “Vampyre of Time and Memory”. There are multiple live performances of “I Appear Missing”. I would suggest either the one they did on Letterman or the one from Paris 2013.

personally I love it when the outro starts and the horns come in...QOTSA is a staple in my car on road trips, and it gives me great pleasure to see the looks on my friends faces when that outro is playing...great request by the way, and a nice assortment of Queens songs listed in your comments, it's always nice to see some of the lesser known songs getting some love

Lmao that ending in the studio version makes me laugh all the time. It's goofy as hell.

Cuando las personas dicen que no one knows es la mejor canción creo que es porque no han escuchado Méxicola o I think I Lost My headache

Great reaction. Love that song, both the recorded and that live version. Got to see it live in person several times, and it was always a highlight, the end becomes a double and triple time frantic race to the finish with the crowd going wild. And you are dead wrong about the horns (but it's fully understandable), you've got to listen to that a bunch of times until the path of it sinks in and becomes natural, and then you'll get into the hypnotic trance, until all brain waves suddenly end with that chop (which you stopped one second before it happened!) That steady droning lap steel is being played with an EBow, by the way, which gives it that continuous drone for minutes on end.

I love this song. Play it every day. I also try and play on guitar. I’ve almost got it. Josh is a genius. He started a whole genre of music. I like the slide guitar better. It’s so creepy it’s great. You picked a great song. One of my favorites. 👍🏻 Listen to that feedback on Basement fn awesomeness. I met Joey the drummer ( Basement video ) when he was Scott Weilands drummer. Very cool dude. 👍🏻

it's been a while since I heard this, as soon as it began I remembered the outro to the song, but whereas it was headache inducing for you, this song always put a smile on my face, I love the repetitiveness of it, especially when the horns kick in, I think it's hilarious, but I can understand how it's not for everyone, which is possibly why they switched it up in the live performance, either that or for their own amusement...I could picture this song being used in the Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas film...Troy, the guy on the steel, also featured in Chelsea Wolfe's Hiss Spun album, he played lead in her 16 Psyche video...Misfit Love is a QOTSA song worth checking out

I love your QOTSA reactions. Don’t know if you’re still interested, but they’ve evolved over the years, and it would be interesting to hear the difference in sound. I would love to see your reaction to I Appear Missing from their album Like Clockwork. It’s really powerful. I’m subbing either way!

That is actually a STEEL DRUM on the album version! They do Lapsteel regularly tho. Sick band.

Yeah, the end of this song always makes my eyes tear up and not because I think it's beautiful, but it's a forced reaction on the horns. It's absolutely bonkers >,< And yes, it's the last track on the album.
