Hi, do you know is it any chance to run Hellblade II on M1 Pro chip? As far as I know there's an issue with those chips (it runs on M2 and M3). Regards
Most likely not. I think this game really wouldn’t be playable on anything but an M3 Pro or Max chip with at least 36 GB of ram. If you really want to “play” it on your mac I would check out geforce now which if you have a solid internet connection should run very well (cloud gaming)
Sequoia or Sonoma? What bottle settings? Cannot even launch it on Sonoma (M3 Pro, CXPatched Crossover 24.0.3 for gptk2)
Sequoia only. it’s very hard to run. i would honestly play it through geforce now if you can

No performance lost in gptk according to the "digital foundry" video of testing in which gptk was performing better than native version of game.
@@ehtasam2080 it absolutely is not like Linux’s Proton. Important to know as there will be bottlenecks on the low level that’ll cap the pipeline from putting more frames out. Don’t get me wrong, it won’t transform it into a 4090 or anything like that buuut w an actually optimised version I could see it push past 120
@@i-lik-maney even in "lies of p" native, the performance of 30-core M3 max is on par with 1660 super and 40-core is on RTX 2060 level so this hell blade 2 performance is in line with native version performance.
Still not good for 4000$ entry-level flagship laptop.
4090 In G16 2024 performs 2 to 3x faster and even unplugged performance is 2x higher.
Nvidia GPUs are simply much much more efficient than apple silicon.
Apple 2024 architecture is 4 to 6 year old on par with Turing 2018 rtx, first gen ray tracing.
@@ehtasam2080 You are absolutely correct! The hardware isn’t even designed for modern APIs like Vulkan without some dirty software hacks. Still, for this vid, had this game been native, we wouldda seen a lot more fpses. And at least it’s efficient by design. Saw a post in Mac gaming subreddit where a guy compares what is a rocket ship of a modern laptop with a 4080(?) and a mac side to side, and the latter is silent in comparison. Unfair somewhat, but point stands
