"I want to have the memory of playing with all you guys" - I love that quote

I read Fogerty’s book. In the latter part off the book he talks about “learning” things from other guitarists. He asked Ricky Skaggs for a lesson. He is not afraid to admit that there are a lot of guitarists that he admires. I recommend the book to fans is of Fogerty. It’s a little tough to read in the early parts due to bitterness from his disputes with former band members and the record company. The writing of the book must’ve been cathartic as in the latter part of the book he really seems to be at peace with himself and his past. The bottom line is Fogerty is one of the one of the most beloved people in music. His music just touches people in a way similar to Springsteen and Petty. If there was a Mount Rushmore for American rockers, Fogerty would be up there.

I saw CCR before Woodstock. They were playing a show in Connecticut. at the time I was in a band and I could play all their songs so I was very familiar with their songs. They sounded perfect what a great show.

Saw Tina and John both perform in Melbourne Australia. 2 singers that put on such great shows. I got to see John perform the whole LP of Cosmo's Factory, and that was awesome. Never saw an artist perform a whole album before. 2 shows that will stay with me till I die.

Very cool. I like CCR more and more the older I get. So deep, so pure and simple. I think those records do belong in the spiritual bin.

CCR was my first rock and roll band- discovered, of course, I’m my parents records. What they created was timeless, good music. What really set the hook was a life album I picked up when I was driving age- “From Berkeley, California, Creedence Clearwater Revival!!!” I’ve been hooked to a strong bass line and jam band guitar solos every since.

I have seen John Fogerty twice 'live' - the 1st time was way back in 1972 with the stripped down CCR just prior to them disbanding, wow that was an amazing concert they still had that magic sound despite John's vocals being shredded from a world tour, he still belted out those wonderful songs. The 2nd time was in 2011, and it was so wonderful to hear 'Born on The Bayou' begin the concert, my hair was standing up. What a great bunch of stories from Tom
