I feel so thankful. I want to paint little memories from my infancy and I was looking for a grass tutorial. Yours is the best. Thank you for the efforts of teaching your techniques. Greetings from Costa Rica.
Thank you so much for posting this tutorial!! I didn't realize how difficult it was going to be to find a video that actually showed you how to paint grass. This helped me so much!!
You have such a good idea of the world and it shows in your paintings. Me, I like to lay in the grass and look at the sky and go and paint my abstract view. Thank you for taking to a field of the beautiful aroma of nature.
Wonderful content and a great inspiration to me. I'm about to paint wind swept seaside grass in the foreground of a lighthouse and am worried about my ability to do this. Please, please keep uploading your amazing content. I'm so glad I found you!
I just took up painting at the age of 44 and am in the process of painting my 13 year old son a baseball lying in the grass. I have no idea what I'm doing. I started correctly though with laying down dirt first. Thank you for this. I wanted to see how small my brush should be and by looking at your brush I can tell that I need to invest in some smaller brushes.
Thank you :-)) Yes I use here linseed oil (refined, deacified, degummed and bleached). This works pretty well and this stuff it not harmful like white spirit or turpentine.
I can't. I looked up for a tutorial video thinking I will finally do realistic grass. But I end up just doing my way. 😭 Sloppy thick grass. Wish I had your patience.
Just practice to get more patience...you can train it, believe me, I was EXTREMELY impatient when I started to paint...and now I paint each and every single blade of grass without getting mad :-))))
Hi Tyson, I used for the greens just lemon yellow and phthalo blue as a base colour. And I added some raw sienna, cadmium red, lamp black to adjust it here and there.

Thank you :-))))))) I like the diversity of us artists - the world would be boring if everyone would paint in the same manner :-)
Love all the sutle tones and shades! I wanna take off my shoes and run in the grass now! 😁
Thank you :-))) Yeeees, that`s sooo nice, running on the grass with bare feet :-)))) Maybe a bit slippery in some places ;-))))
Я просто залипла на ваших рисунках, они такие реалистичные! Учусь на ваших видео.

at this point with the fan brush do you wait for the first green paint to dry ?
Yes, I wait until the first layer is bone dry. Better you wait a couple of days more before you really start to apply the next layer of colour!
@@brennerfineart thank you
