Hey Seth! I just wanted to tell you that i made my own endurbarrow for building dirt jumps with my friends. I'm really glad i remembered you made something like this, otherwise i probably would have just thrown out my old wheelbarrow that's prone to a flat tire every 5-10 minutes. Now it has brakes and a 26" mtb wheel that doesnt have a leak issue.
yeah i love this project is awesome, but it makes me sad that the nice parts couldn't go on a bike with serious needs of and upgrade like mine. but i do love the creativity and how you always find a way to make something amazing with all bike related parts. keep of the good work
Those parts really aren't all that nice. That fork looks terrible and the mechanical disc brake is probably very very cheap. I don't know what you are talking about :P
the Endurobarrow was a proof of concept; imagine what it could look like with some proper design and engineering! I can already imagine a name for it: the Diamondback Trailblazer!
Depends what you are looking to get into, but if you are a fan of Seth's riding style I would check out the Hook! Great all around bike to get the most out of the trail.
I was thinking about that too, but a lot of the static load will be cakewalk for something that's designed to still be good after jumps, bails, and tech trails.
I love this channel because - i see bikes - i see nature and greenery - i see cool diy works - i see athletic and fitness stuff And everything is better with seth's commentary.
Diamondback was one of the smartest cycling manufacturers to get behind Seth when this all started. They've become much more than when I bought my first bike from them and it's really an epic duo between them. The company grew basically with the popularity of his channel; so awesome to watch!
The big wheel is a must have on rough terrain. But I think you could've use a little bit smaller wheel placed a bit more under the bin than in front of it. That would be more balanced (less load on the handlebars) while keeps the stuff short (more maneuverable).
Imagine Seth as a father. You walk out the house on your birthday, and it’s a Power Wheels hooked up to a car battery, with all terrain wheels and an attached rocket booster for jumps.
Hey Seth, just want to say thanks for putting subtitles on your videos. I struggle following voices when I can't lip-read, so that's a huge help for me! Thanks!
This is awesome. Love that Alex wore his helmet during the test on Berm Creek. Classic. Shout out to Tony at Home Depot and Johnny @Crafted Workshop for their contributions. Nice work all!
Some suggestion for v2: Smaller wheel that go right underneath the barrow, so that the wheel will load all the weight, not the user that's loading the weight. For suspension you can build linkage similar to MTB's rear suspension system.
Honestly you are a great DIY'er, never would have thought of half the shit you come up with and never would have built the other half you did. Great job.
I just want to stop in and say that you guys have been a great resource for me to learn everything I can about mountain biking. I am a newer rider ( I used to ride when I was very young) and I just ordered a Giant Fathom 1 which will be my first quality bike. I really love your channel as well as STS and Skills With Phil! I hope to see you all out in Louisville, KY, sometime soon and get some pointers from you all! I would also like to add that I am a tall and large rider and although you guys are shorter I would like to see some tips/advice for taller and heavier riders.
Actually imagina you have the bin full of water... Pulling back would make the water spill buth now when you braje the suspension damps and there is not much force pulling the material out of the bin or pulling you downhill
It’s for downhill so it will help and you know when you have a fill suspension bike the rear suspension sometimes is at an angle like that but to be serious it’s probably just to look cool
I think you should put bmx pegs to the wheel to make "man carrying" easier because you can keep your foot on them, i mean i know material carrying is its building reason but hey, it's Seths Bike Hacks ;)
I agree with you. You would want to add a rounded rather than flat compression piece to the lock down mechanism, but having the bolts and threads inside the carrying space will cause them damage (especially with all the rock work) and shorten the life of the tool. If the bolts are underneath it will last longer.
Adam Dead he puts a lot of efford and editing into every one of his videos. That is why he doesn't upload a lot. You should start that again it this time buy a downhill bike or dirt jump bike or even a second had bike online and see if they are any good for the online bike u should use a budget of $500 and buy any full sus bike u want. Like so Seth can see this and if you like the idea also comment any things u want to add to this. Keep riding stay creative
Hey Seth, as always your video is creative, entertaining and inspiring. As I was watching every time you talked about the rain stopping you from building or riding I thought "What does Seth do when it's raining?" So I think it would be rad if you made a video with ideas for fun and useful things MTB riders could do when it's raining.
Maybe it’s because they didn’t? Enjoy? The video?? Like, ok, maybe they found it boring or they didn’t think it was very entertaining. They’re allowed to dislike and still enjoy his other videos.
to be fair, the bike parts used on that thing probably costs more than a whole department store/walmart bike that being said, i can say that i am indeed jealous of the fact, but why would i dislike a great practical upgrade idea? If anything, re-orienting the fork to the usual angle it is mounted to on a bike - or better yet, just reusing the bike steering axle, welding it fixed, and extending the cut-off frame as a wheelbarrow chassis would be how the build goes. That, and a longer wheelbarrow bucket - or better yet, a modular one which you can quick-change from a wheelbarrow bucket to a lidded box bin to a tool box with quick-release stuff.
One of the things I have come to live with in Americas, specifically Canada, is that companies here cannot or don't want to build decent wheel barrows. They are overpriced junk, compared to what you find in Europe. However, at least we have the Robertson screws and drivers here! They more than make up for it haha.
I had a department store bike and after a year, I ended up replacing the fork, both tyres, the handlebar, the pedals, seat and seatpost, bottom bracket, chain (twice), sprockets, rear wheel spokes, front disc brake caliper, and the cables. :(
I know but tbh, I never chose that bike. I've been begging my dad for 5 years for a bike and suddenly out of the blue, he just gets me one so I really couldn't complain. all the replacement components cost half the bike's price and those were budget parts. :'( at least I have something to take out on the road. it's good as a fitness/road hybrid bike/gravel bike but absolutely dangerous for the trails.
I wouldn't make them parallel but v-shaped. Making the splitting part can be a challenge, but the rest is pretty much the same idea as Seth's. Just attach the handlebars to both of the carrier bars instead of the one. It should offer much more control.
Looks like its not level, so if your going to ever mix concrete, its better off with a 24"/26" wheel, and it'll tip much easier too. You could also put a bucket angle change on it. REQ: Take the dog for a ride, mine loves it !

Hey Seth, you should add a dropper post to make an automatic dumping system, just an idea...
Cian Bichard it wouldnt have the strength to lift it empty, no way with anything in the wheelbarrow
Cian Bichard, that would be amazing but you would have to have a really powerful dropper maybe even two
If it were strong enough to dump rocks, I don't see how you would retract it afterwards
Hmmm, maybe if you attatched three to the handlebars?
Even if you could get it to lift the back of the wheelbarrow with a load in it, the load being dumped wouldn't clear the tire.
That was the smoothest weld I’ve ever seen
That's MIG welding for you.

Is the suspension actually functional at such an angle?

I would put the u-bolts the other direction so the round part would be inside the barrow
That makes no sense. The round end of the U bolts go around the round component. Inside of the wheelbarrow is flat so you want to do it the way he did
I agree with you. You would want to add a rounded rather than flat compression piece to the lock down mechanism, but having the bolts and threads inside the carrying space will cause them damage (especially with all the rock work) and shorten the life of the tool. If the bolts are underneath it will last longer.
