@teapotmonkey I ended up switching to k100 rgb from corsair. Completely different price range but much better. For the original price, this was a decent keyboard though. I just needed more functionality.
First of all, thanks for the review! I was looking into buying this one. However, if you say the space bar has a wobble, I'm out. The Orion Spectrum G810 had the same problem when I tried it - all of the stabilized keys felt wobbly and awful. This happened with all of the ones I tried after returning it to the store many times. Logitech! Please listen and make those stabilizers better! Just abandon the crappy cherry ones, please! Thanks for the warning, GameSpot
@@Jordykanters Its definitely not shit. The only problem would be the switches but if you're new to mechanical keyboards you probably wont mind Especially since its 90$
@@Jordykanters yeah just bought an hyper x alloy fps mx red, but it was hard to choose between the 2 keyboard since I already have logitech g502 mouse and I love the logitech softwares for binds to games... chose hyper x by watching a lot of videos... It is coming in 3/4 days so if you want I can tell my first impressions.
Yea, right after the year warranty the keys start cracking along with the fixtures and the keys start flying off randomly and the fixtures are unique to this keyboard so dont bet on replacing them.
I have this keyboard. Only 8 months of using it and I'm experiencing double inputs on my numerical pad (mainly Enter, 0, and 2) and letters O, and P. The + key on the number pad occasionally doesn't register. Note that these are keys that don't see heavy use in gaming. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting the keyboard, switching its USB ports, updating drivers, adjusting the keyboard settings to no avail. I looked it up and it seems to happen not just to G413s but other Logitech keyboards as well (Google: "Logitech gaming keyboard double press"). Buyer beware. It's okay at first glance and early use, but durability and reliability is spotty.
My problem with the keyboard is that my left Ctrl button broke so i switched it with the right Ctrl key, and sometimes it does not feel smooth to press a key it feels like its stiff and a little bit blocking, im wondering if you have these problems asswel
Maybe I should've been more clear. I did say there aren't dedicated macro keys as seen in higher-end keyboards but you can reprogram F1-F12 in the Logitech Software.
I have this keyboard but the only problem is the lack of any other color than RED and there are no custom light shows you can choose for the RGB lights
PERFECT FOR ME, the fact that you can change the WASD keys is nice, the usb port on the keyboard, Romer-G tactile, THI IS PERFECT FOR ME! Btw, you make this keyboard look dope
I have a logitech keyboard g413 and I REALLY want custom key caps for it, but I can’t find custom key caps for this specific keyboard, can anyone help me?
The only thing I'm afraid of is the height of the keys... like aren't my fingers gonna get stuck under them?? Everything else looks just perfect for what I'm looking for.
I can get this keyboard for same price as: HyperX Alloy FPS RGB, Kailh Speed Silver HyperX Alloy FPS, Cherry MX Red, I dont know which of the three pick up :)
There is a saying, “should have bought Corsair”, after two defective Razer Black Widow Ultimate 2016 I gave up on ever having a working Razer product, I got got the Logitech G710+ with Cherry MX Brown, keyboard itself just worked, but the key caps broke 4 months later… I can’t help but think how accurate the Should have bought Corsair saying is…
In like 2 weeks around there my bro is possibly gonna buy me this and guess wut a ps4 player i just like playing games with keyboards and i really want this one
If we're talkin MSRP of mechanical keyboards from other big names like Razer and Corsair, $90 is relatively cheaper. That's not to say there aren't other sub-$100 options out there tho
when you ask a question and nobody responds for 3 years... Feels bad. Anyways the answer to your question is that I as well don't know looks like you'll have to buy it and see.
Check out 2:00 - Is the space key crooked like that by design or just weirdly attached? If yes, that's "premium" quality right there! Also half-sized return key, no thanks! I know it's a matter of preference but there is no law that forces designers to squeeze the most important key to half it's size, just to safe on 3cm width . I'll rather stick with my Roccat Ryos MK for less money and more functionality (also brown cherry switches instead of replicas). Logitech built quite a lot stuff in the recent decate, but the newer stuff seems more and more low-grade crap that breaks within first year. :(
There are two cables, one is the keyboard, the other is the pass through, Software might need an update, a USB port on your PC might be dead, keyboard itself might be a problem, it could be a fake. There are many problems that it could be, good luck figuring it out.
*geeee* Minimalistic? Well spoken , pal. Even no manual XD Saw your video 6 hours after I bought it. It felt a bit ... awkward/weird due to the design. The board isn't much wider than the key area but already got used to it. I LUUUUve the option to replace the keys. I had serious troubles not by accident to fire the ultimate in Elder Scrolls. instead of activating or taking a potion gut consumed as you glitch off the keys by 1 column to the left. not forward but *slurp'* CD f+cked: )
For this particular model, yeah. There's some version exclusive to Best Buy with white LED backlighting and silver base, but I didn't get one of those.
This keyboard is an entry level keyboard with an MSRP of $90. The K70 RGB has an MSRP of $160. If you're gonna criticize, at least use keyboards in the same price point.
2B Exactly what the above replies have said. Funny thing is, Logitech's G810 Orion Spectrum has the same functionality as the K70 RGB for a significantly lower price. Apart from a wrist wrest, which I personally don't care about, that you can buy online for a few bucks anyways.
Did this guy match his shirt to the keyboard he was reviewing and refer to it as "dope as." Yeah noice
spzenny You spelt "nice" wrong.
klarkus Are you dumb?
kek
I wouldn't say hipster douche bag. I just remarked on his shirt choice because it was funny
that's an ugly shirt.
Switched to this as a 60 dollar option from a membrane keyboard. Big difference. Not the top of the line, but still feels great.

Had mine for 5 week's and keys already stop working would not recommend
Goes through an in-depth review but leaves out the most critical thing. Like how it sounds with each click.

btw im going to buy the hyper X alloy FPS that one has got actual cherry mx switches and this one only linear
Jordy Kanters
Huh. That's a coincidence. I replaced my Logitech with a Hyper X Alloy FPS.
Do you think the switch is worth it at the end or just money waste?
Thank you for your review bro, you changed my mind

An honest thanks for this one. I am still on a very old first edition of the G110, the G413 looks like a fitting replacement.
Great video, I dig this type of content and hope you guys do more!
Sweet, thanks! We're workin on it!
'Now i spent several hours to play competitive games' showing us he is playing deathmatch
deathmatch is competitive. you compete to win.
OMG the lights look so different irl
better or worse?
Gamespot doing a tech review? Hells yeah. More please.
We're workin on it!
Good professional review. As always, a cut above the rest.
💩💩🗑️
Dude!? *NEVER* leave out how it sounds like pressing the keys!
mine broke within a month, besides that i did enjoy playing with it over a normal keyboard.
Got used to my Das Keyboard 4 Ultimate
The Keyboard does have macros though, according to Logitechs you can "program custom functions and macro commands on F1-F12 ". @gamespot
Maybe I should've been more clear. I did say there aren't dedicated macro keys as seen in higher-end keyboards but you can reprogram F1-F12 in the Logitech Software.
how about other keys like q,w,tab can i also reprogram them?
i just grabbed one from Amazon for only £40! its gone back to normal price now though
Is it waterproof
In where I live we have G413 at 99.90 euro, Apex M500 at 69.99 euro and G610 MX Red at 72.90 euro. What should I buy and has more value for the price?
I have the G610 which has white backlighting and other cool effects and it has media keys. I got my keyboard for 90 bucks.
Is it waterproof?
I have this keyboard but the only problem is the lack of any other color than RED and there are no custom light shows you can choose for the RGB lights

Got this for me last week. Awesome keyboard with no RGB bullshit! No offence RGB-ians.. :)
Can you pair it to an iPad
Good video! Great point of views
Hey! You never showed the sound of it! That's a big thing in mechanical kb!
This keyboard is DOPE
Great, useful review
is it any good for typing?
My F9 to F12 keys only work as macros if I press FN at the same time, should I return the keyboard, or is that just how it works?
thats how every keyboard works

I have a g413 and g810, they both use Romer-G, but why they sound and feel a little bit different ?
Are they belong to same Romer-G switch?
but how loud are the keys?
This or hyperx alloy pro

Random question, but what was that PS4 game on his desk?
Hyper Light Drifter! One of my favorites of last year, limited edition PS4 versions came out a couple weeks ago.
Is this good for typing, designing, programming? Am not gamer
Does this keyboard work for ps4? So does it register it?
all keyboards work for ps4. Just not for xbox
MsD Punani aight thanks dude
There's a physical copy of Hyper Light Drifter?!?!?!
Yup! It's a limited edition thing over at iam8bit, idk if it's still available.

It does help a bit no missed keys, unlike some membranes where you might miss a stroke.
