- I know you guys have wanted this video for a while so I was finally able to find a emulator that would let me do this. So lets look at this Bounty Hunter PVP mode

I played the heck out of this mode as a kid via download play with my brother. My favorite part is how in the death match killing yourself with explosives gets you points.
Makes the game not boring or worse
The best part of lando is that if played right, he can be op as he plays like a jedi. Not only being able to double jump, but also jedi slam and deflect baster bolts back at you.
It does look interesting. All the other modes seem boring but they are great in their own way! Thanks for showing us some of your games!!!

IG-88 also has a special attack which is pretty useless but kinda neat. If you hold down the attack button it goes machinegun mode
My brother and I played this part of the game a lot when we were younger.
as a kid this game was lit and only one person needed the game
when i was like 8 years old, my brother and i played the bounty hunter capture game and i kept beating my brother that he ripped my ds in half.
This video was super interesting! I remember my friend had this game but I dont remember a lot about it. The game mode looks like a lot of fun though. I'm super excited for the battlefront video!

My friend at daycare had a copy of this on his DS and we were able to play with 4 players. It was never fair because only he could change his character because he had a copy of the game so he would always pick Boba Fett and the rest of us were stuck as Greedo.

I swear they spent all of their development time making this mode and then, after everything, they realized they only had 3 weeks to port the actual game lol
The fact that THIS game has the best Lego interpretation of Bossk (one of my favorite SW characters) makes me cry to sleep every night.
I played this gamemode so much as a kid! I only had one copy of the game though which made multiplayer really buggy. Download players could only pick greedo, but the owner of the game could only pick a handful of the bounty hunters otherwise the game would crash. I remember specifically always wanting to play as lando but the game would crash at the beginning of the match no matter what I did. I think he's essentially a jedi in this with the ability to deflect blaster bolts? Would have to double check that.

The best thing about this game… so much fun as a kid with others. Jabba tower was my fav!
I don't know how to set up multiplayer on the android version of MelonDS. I don't really use it because it lags a lot on both my laptop and my phone (which makes sense since it's in it's early access beta state which has been like that for a long time) so I use Drastic. Also, Lego Indiana Jones 1 and Lego Batman 1 (and maybe other Lego games for DS) also has multiplayer.

i loved this video, i do also wish there were more maps and more (unique) gamemodes. despite its flaws, i think you'd enjoy it a lot more if you were actually playing with someone. the mode also had a lot of potential but unfortunately it's exclusive to the ds port and its tank controls. jango and boba are great for jabbas tower (which i don't think is meant to resemble jabbas palace) but i dont mind doing the parkour. for me, it was quite easy and not long to get through. the platforms arent thin and moving with a horrendous camera angle. as for the length of rounds, i'd normally go for ten to fifteen minutes. i do think today, it would still be a little less interesting to play. way back then, when i played with siblings, we eventually made our own gamemodes, such as one where we would race to the bottom and back to the top of jabbas tower, one where we did wild west standoffs atop the bridge in the mos eisley map, and one where we roleplayed (dont ask lmao) to name a few. i would also give one of them my ds with the game card and i would play as greedo on one of theirs for more of a challenge. so i guess while it was fun for some time, we kept it interesting with our imagination. i wish the game mode existed on other ports of the game, where the devs had a lot more time. there would probably also then be better controls for that mode if they wouldnt just use the regular camera. also, im sure i already told you, but i'll leave this for anyone else who reads this. on the back cover of the box, when showing off the bounty huntet arena, they have boba turned around and jango facing the camera because of how bad boba looks in the game.

I remember my brother and cousin messing around with this a long time ago.
I've played this game before and i think the reason IG-88 does double damage despite having a normal blaster is because he shoots two projectiles per input. I think its like because he holds his gun sideways..? Still dont know why they designed him like that when he holds his blaster correctly in the console version. Even the actual minifigure comes with a different arm so the blaster can be held upright😂

Yeah, in terms of mobility, aside from Lando, Boba and Jango, every character is useless, especially on the tower map.
