This cleaning/dusting is something that needs to be done several times over the life of a PC. I recommend to get a set of ESD safe brushes and use them to loosen up the dust before blowing it out of your PC with compressed air or w duster. It helps with the stubborn dust that can get stuck in filters, fans, heatsink fins, and nooks and crannies I also recommend never to go anywhere near your components with a vacuum cleaner as they can cause static damage
@@ChaivreMaurteFor most home PCs blowing out the dust a every few months is more than enough. If you have pets or live in a dusty environment you may need to clean it more often. Most people typically don’t need a major take apart clean more often than once or twice a year.

To make your case stay clean for longer, make sure your case fans are setup in a positive pressure configuration to minimize dust buildup in the case. To accomplish this, have more fans drawing air in than exhausting air, and have the intake fans covered with a filter. This way, any places that aren't covered with a filter will be blowing air out rather than sucking air (and thus dust) in. The filters will catch the dust before it has a chance to get into the case. Remove the filters and vacuum them monthly for best results.

I have a question. So, last night, I replaced my keyboard with my dad. We took out the rivvits, and we found out that they are plastic. Instead of using them, we decided to use tape to hold the keyboard on the plate. After putting it back together, my computer won't turn on. I felt something warm, but I don't know what it is. Whether it's the motherboard, or something else. My question is, does tape harm internal components? I'm curious. I'm letting it sit overnight, and I'm going to try to turn it on this morning. If it doesn't work, I may need to call you break I fix. Honestly, I don't think we did anything wrong, because the last time we opened it and hooked the keyboard back up, it worked just fine. And it even worked before I shut it down to replace the keyboard. If you have any answers, feel free to reply. Thank you!

very helpful work i have there pc and it works wonders it runs smoothly but the storage I need to up more I just don't know that much about the storage unit on my PC
If possible run a air purifier with reusable/cleanable filters 24/7 in your PC room. This helps keep my PC cleaner but still need to do the recommended routine cleaning.
Thanks alot i cleaned the dust from the intake and my pc is more quiet and it dosent get hot fast
Thank u so much u dont understand u just saved my life
thank you so much for this!
Is it a coincidence that I found this video while wanting to clean my ibuypower prebuilt? 6 years and still running great.
I have a prebuilt and I'm scared as hell to try and clean it. Any tips that wasn't mentioned in the video?
@@noscoped7557 mine was completely caked with dust on the front filter (which is plastic and not disposable). I used a clean dry toothbrush and a vacuum with a hose. I tried to brush the dust into the vacuum. Other than that, I found that I had so much dust built up that the can of compressed air did literally nothing. I was too paranoid to take off the fan/heatsink for the CPU so I took toothpicks and dug out the fins one by one. Overall there was much more I could have done, but I was pretty happy with the results, and I was sick of it after 2 hours. But I definitely get much better temps and airflow now that I've cleaned it.
very precise and helpful information! thank you!
We’ve all sinned man. We’ve lied, stolen, used God’s name in vain, and more. We now need to repent and trust that Jesus Christ died for our sins on the cross. This is very urgent tomorrow isn’t promised. Our works can’t save us but Jesus can!
Thanks for this easy and step by step guide!

Well done.
Pour over coffee: superior to all other forms.
Please do a review of the Metrovac Datavac. Please. I know you said "compressed air is better than a vacuum" but... is it really Brad?

I didn't know how to take out the front panel of my case. I thought it was not meant to be opened. Turns out I have those O ring style plastic clips and there was a place under the panel to pull it out. I was able to finally clean the annoying dust buildup in the front of my case thanks to this video lol 😂
Thanks man, I needed this to help clean. Awesome job!!

I clean my pc monthly or twice a month now it’s getting hotter in australia as a lot of pollen and such in the air outside but great to watch those types of videos
Thank you!
keyboard??? do mean lean the motherboard ot something
if it wasnt eletrical tape then yea
Can we have a video about how to reapply thermal paste?
Thank you I really needed this!
Thank you so much for these subtitles! This needs to be more common! :)

Thanks, I’ve cleaned my PC, and I swear, I’ve never seen so much dust cramped in one place. I think that some sort of gray hamster died in my cpu. I never had a hamster.

Been wondering how go remove the front panel of my PC (Newbie to PC building here) and now I know what to look for
Any loopholes on cleaning deep parts of the interior if you have no compressed air around??

Oh - and how about spraying the inside of the PC with endust or some other type dust repellant?
Just cleaned with air compressor with it plugged in, wish me luck
It works
Wait...
So, it's OKAY to use a vacuum *as long as you're touching the case?*
@@Dustycat oh okay, thanks.
...just realized I got cleaning advice from someone that goes by "Dustycat", lol!
@@Dustycat less risky to use a data vac :P you don't have to touch said part for the static to arc
I'll clean mine now, I think I should remove the mobo because it's a really old pc but it's not that deep of a cleaning, just dust it out
I can’t pull my front panel out.. I’m not a physically strong person so uh.. is there another way to clean it...?

Are you sure that I touch PC case while doing with vacuum? Maybe I should hold speakers or something instead?
I’ve opened a power supply before. Don’t recommend it but I’ve done it and cleaned the fan. ONLY THE FAN!
Is there a video on how I can replace my Processor on my ibuypower pc?
its the same as any pc
look up a vid on it
I'm sure there are many videos that would be helpful to you. It should have the same or a very similar process to another pc.
