No, it's not. The Sopranos was a masterpiece. Breaking Bad was OK. Hard to say whether Fargo ranks above or below Breaking Bad. Boardwalk Empire was quite good.
It's all fun and games until Hanzee gets involved. I always felt that his character's actions were more in the desire to cleanse himself of evil influence. It was all around him. Suffocating him. For decades. This was his exit strategy.
This illustrates why police don't want you getting too close to them. That bear was the whole way across the parking lot, and, even though he was hit by three shots (one to the head), he wasn't stopped from reaching and almost killing the officer.
that's realistic. people don't just drop like a sack of bricks after getting shot like they do in movies and tv. the only time that ever happens IRL is if you get shot directly in the heart or if you get shot in the head and it severs the brainsteam. otherwise you can keep on going just like bear did here, especially since the shot to his head was a graze that took away his ear lobe. and even then, i don't really understand the physics of that particular shot because the cop that shot him was on his side, so a 'graze' to the ear would still go through the back of his skull and out the other side. that kind of ear wound is generally only sustained from either the back or the front, unless the bullet is in the middle of some crazy ass ricochet.
Bruh what the fuck is happening in this scene. So much is going on, a gang shooting at a motel, a random dude killing people left and right and a fucking alien saucer shows up in the middle of all of it 😂
Cops staying in motel. Gang assumes them to be rival gang and attacks. Native American man is gang hitman gone rogue, killing the don (old lady) and everyone else. Big man is old lady's son, aspirant for don's position. UFO is entirely unrelated to the series, but adds to its quirkiness Watch the series. Its awesome.

I have never seen Fargo. I was just watching clips of shootouts from various movies and TV shows. _3:53__ has left me confused and intrigued beyond belief._
Amazing scene! But has Sioux Falls PD never done a stakeout before?? 90% of the cops on-scene are sitting around in their underwear! The sherif has the instincts to actually get in uniform & arm himself before things get crazy. Still, fun to see Ted Danson do so well with a full-on action scene
they were totally incompetent. Both sides were lured into each other by Hanzee pulling the strings but the cops weren’t expecting anyone until morning, the mobsters weren’t expecting them to be cops. being out of uniform was part of the “plan” but the old officer wasnt having it. so he suited up and was ready for action when the ambush came.
This was a sting. You can't watch this scene w/o knowing the proper set up. They're in their underwear bc they're expecting the iceholes later, not now. That's why they were playing cards and some sleeping. The Gerhardt mob got there early and ambushed em
Funny thing is Ben Schmidt - the cop who was protecting the witnesses and shot the two intruders from behind - was portrayed throughout the season as extremely cowardly and incompetent, yet he was smart enough to take good cover and he lived.
It's Fargo, weird shit happens for the sake of being weird and to add mystery to the plot. But, it's not a subplot because it's just two appearances when it merges into the plot, it's really more cameos than anything else.
At least the “invincible” guys with plot armor seems more realistic. He has a rifle and everyone else has pistols or shotguns. It does make it more believable. Good job.
Aliens: Greetings earthlings we are here to share our technology in hopes of advancing your civilization and well being. Humans: Proceed to show how violent we are with a full on live show of how we handle each other. Aliens: We will come back and could centuries and see if anything changes.
Uhm.. Why the fuck was there a alien space ship there like that? They all saw it, it was really there and not some hallucination, yet they all just kept murdering each other anyway. Why is this in the show? lmao
to show that even a f'ing alien space ship can't make humans stop killing each other; as long as humans are free to decide what to do we will always keep on murdering. And that we are always been judged for our actions.
0:46 - he must have been using some magic shotgun shells because nothing was ejected or loaded when he racked his gun. I guess he might have ejected the cartridge off-screen and not noticed his gun was empty but even then it would be silly for him to work the action again because, to his knowledge, he's just ejecting an unfired cartridge.
I think it’s just a continuity mistake. A lot of times when filming scenes where an actor is handling a firearm and not firing it, they’re usually holding a dummy gun or unloaded firearm(for safety reasons of course). Timeline wise it wouldn’t make sense for him to already be empty after shooting the 2 cops, but scenes like 0:46 will inevitably sneak through the editors room
@@dannygloversshotgun211 I guess I would classify it more as a mistake. The actor never should have worked the action of the shotgun because a spent cartridge should have been ejected. By working the action he just demonstrated that his shotgun was fully empty of any shells, fired or unfired -- nothing in the chamber and nothing in the magazine.
To be fair, cars DO go faster when you change gears, lol. Anyways, as someone who's worked in film his entire adult life, I can weigh in here. Odds are, these are two separate takes. One where the actor works the action earlier in the scene, and one where he works it later in the scene. The director probably liked the action in both parts of the scene, and stitched the bits together in the editing room, knowing full well there was an error, but preferring to keep the best emotions from both takes. It's a mistake, but it's actually the more professional move. The feel of the scene comes before small continuity errors. I have a saying when editing around these sorts of mistakes. "If anyone notices, we've done our jobs well." If these scene hadn't fucking rocked, you wouldn't have watched it so many times so as to notice. :)

@@BurntPlaydoh that’s an sp1 Ar-15, the first of the Civilian AR-15s. Until the A2 came out in the early ‘80s, the triangle handguard was all you could get for full length rifles.

It's all fun and games until Hanzee gets involved. I always felt that his character's actions were more in the desire to cleanse himself of evil influence. It was all around him. Suffocating him. For decades. This was his exit strategy.
U cut the part where Peggy says "It's just a flying saucer Ed!"
Lmao I love the random UFO cameo…
“Hey what’s up Earth, we come in peac-“
**gunfire**
“Understandable, have a great day ✌️”
I've never seen this show and I'm bewildered on what the hell I just watched lol
Just finished season 2 like 20 minutes ago. Now I’m rewatching my favorite scenes. Obviously this is one of the first ones.
Ah, that famous shotgun ammo that sends you flying.
Scatter guns and wheel guns, reminds me of growing up in the River Quay of Kansas City Missouri.
@@gchovvard6265 Thanks for taking time to explain all that to me. It was very interesting! Learn something new every day.
I've never met bigger cowards than cops.
@@jessblues848 Lou is a pretty brave officer though, given the earlier confrontation with the family.
@jessblues848 I seriously don't think you'd be much better
Aliens: “Look, intelligent life forms!!!”
*Bear’s head gets blown off*
Aliens: “…Let’s get out of here.”
This was the best scene out of all of the series’s
2:37 casually tanks 2 gunshots like it's nothing 😭
Bruh what the fuck is happening in this scene. So much is going on, a gang shooting at a motel, a random dude killing people left and right and a fucking alien saucer shows up in the middle of all of it 😂
Cops staying in motel. Gang assumes them to be rival gang and attacks. Native American man is gang hitman gone rogue, killing the don (old lady) and everyone else. Big man is old lady's son, aspirant for don's position. UFO is entirely unrelated to the series, but adds to its quirkiness
Watch the series. Its awesome.
@@lookintoit4537 ive already started it, honestly the ufo during the gunfight is what did it for me 😂 so much shit going on then a alien Saucer appears lmao fucking what
One of the guys in our coffee club lives in the motel they filmed this at. Cool to see it in a movie!
Aliens: look they're shooting each other again.
Season 2 best of all 4 ❤️❤️❤️
Agreed
I prefer 1
@@seanisgone5413 Season 1 is amazing, I think Season 2 is best but I can't even argue with you cus Season 1 is also best season.
sucks that people dislike S3 which was also great
Most stunning interruption of a scene I have ever seen.
Why's the cop run towards the bearded guy like it's Middle-Earth? He has a gun, distance, and cover.
thanks rambo
I can think of a bigger problem with this scene....
Man I got to watch this series
So cool, Henzee . . . .cooler than Clint himself ! You got to love thid character !
Aw, the scene cuts off before Mike Milligan and his henchmen arrive and nope the hell out of there.
"Okay then" is just the cherry on top
I have never seen Fargo. I was just watching clips of shootouts from various movies and TV shows.
_3:53__ has left me confused and intrigued beyond belief._
Watching this with no context is a trip
It is much better when u watch the build up of the entire season
Aliens: "Oooohh... I can see y'all are busy. We'll come back later."
I've never seen this before, so that alien sh!t thru way the hell off😂🤣😂
Okay, this is the craziest shootout I've ever seen.
This “Between Two Ferns” / “Sicario” crossover is LIT!
Can we all agree the whole UFO subplot was weird?
It didn't need to happen here. Not in this scene.
It's Fargo, weird shit happens for the sake of being weird and to add mystery to the plot. But, it's not a subplot because it's just two appearances when it merges into the plot, it's really more cameos than anything else.
Not really tbh. Alot of people try to find symbolism in the meaning of the UFO. The truth is, it's just a fucking Alien spacecraft, nbd.
UFO: dayum look at this big shootout at a motel lmao take some pics, make sure you use the lights
UFOs are apparently real now. So this actually is non-fiction.
Writers: "How much "what the fuckery" do you want in this scene?"
Producer: "Yes!"
Smiles in UFO
The shootout was so good, aliens showed up. >_
the music is just incredible
these UA-cam short level muzzle flashes are so funny.
Short level? What are you talking about?
What!?
At least the “invincible” guys with plot armor seems more realistic. He has a rifle and everyone else has pistols or shotguns. It does make it more believable. Good job.
0:44 empty shotgun
Aliens: Greetings earthlings we are here to share our technology in hopes of advancing your civilization and well being.
Humans: Proceed to show how violent we are with a full on live show of how we handle each other.
Aliens: We will come back and could centuries and see if anything changes.
The ufo part had me 😳
See that 222 door? Good stuff right there.
At least the last thing Bear saw was cool.
4:18 Fargo is great for the small things. Like firing a gun with your pinky because it was easier to pick it up that way.
this series was awesome, i loved all seasons. 4th one didnt got me hooked tho...
Nothing was as gripping as the interrogation scene in the first season.
@@poopymcpoop9945 which one?
Imagine the aliens hey look found intelligent life
Dude continues shootout
Aliens: we gotta bounce
Hanzee is strait badass.
I haven't seen the show and this is a bizarre scene to watch without any context.
Uhm.. Why the fuck was there a alien space ship there like that? They all saw it, it was really there and not some hallucination, yet they all just kept murdering each other anyway. Why is this in the show? lmao
Unscripted. It was an actual UFO that came to the set while they were filming.
to show that even a f'ing alien space ship can't make humans stop killing each other; as long as humans are free to decide what to do we will always keep on murdering. And that we are always been judged for our actions.
The sound effects are incredible
I hate when Hollywood does these elaborate shoot scenes, then 0:44 happens. Why is there no empty shell being ejected after he pumped the next shell?
very well done gunshot sound effects
Hanzee hitting the metal stairs trying to shoot Lou sounded cool.
I love the recoiless action of the shotgun!!!
Hollywood cliches like neverending pistol magazines and cars that go faster when you change gears.
Aliens: Oh hey, look, civilized life
*Fallujah noises intensify*
Aliends: On second thought
Im pretty sure the cop with the Python fired a few more than 6 rounds before reloading.
Are you the guy that invented the MacPherson strut?
@@zarakdurrani7584 Can't say I've heard of the MacPherson strut
i have never seen this show and when that ufo came around i was yo wtf is this show lmao this shit is hilarious
Never heard of this show. My friend said watch this clip. I'm thinking, nice shooting scene. Nice cinematography. Wait, what... now theres aliens?... What the f@$k is going on?
My thoughts exactly.
Illegal space aliens are like “I’m not gonna get involved. I’m going back to a galaxy far, far away...”
I wonder if Ricky G realized they were cops before everyone else did.
Gorbrek: See this, Hogurka? This is why we don’t come to Earth.
Gawd what a m16
Wait is this Fargo or damn stranger things
It's NOT an M16. It's supposed to be a civilian AR15 SP1 rifle. We had TONS of those for sale in sporting good shops in 1979. The slab side upper and lower receiver and triangular handguard are the giveaway.
I never saw the original Fargo but are UFO’s a part of the plot?
@@BurntPlaydoh that’s an sp1 Ar-15, the first of the Civilian AR-15s. Until the A2 came out in the early ‘80s, the triangle handguard was all you could get for full length rifles.
Aliens: "Hello there locals species, we came in peace."
Sheriff: Kills a mob.
Aliens: "Oh shoot . . . um, nevermind, we're getting the f- out of here so we don't mind your business."
3:29 that was the sickest bullet dodge I have ever seen!
Just don't try in real life, you might just dip your head right into the path of a torso shot...
Hanzee good show
4:07 the dust cover of m16 was open, then it was closed .
Wtf was happening? A ufo coming out of nowhere 😂
Insanely unrealistic engagement outcomes here.
Standing in the kill box without cover yet coming out victorious against multiple opponents in which several had cover and high ground.
That Indian would not have survived.
Throughout the Season 2 episodes, he often just walked around killing people and never got even a paper cut. There's two sides to every coin, some people die without firing a shot.
"Hey, look, guys. The ants are fighting. Let's take a closer look. I'm betting 3 yaxwvukakakhkak on that one with the beard."
