Thanks Paul. All very interesting. Lucky that Bertha and Katherine were not killed when the plane fell on their house though tragic for the airmen. The sisters were good helping others traumatised by WW1 and it probably was a form of therapy for them too. Beautiful location. Great filming - plus the deer and the heron.
Thank you Cathy - yes, there is actually a lot more to the story than I had time to cover in the video but it is a fascinating tale, and the two sisters actually cared for a lot of patients with mental health problems both before and after they had the chapel built. Many thanks Paul. I think your suggestion in future taking in minor details is a good idea. Chalford is a wonderful place to wander around with surprises around every corner. I think the locations of the houses on the steep hill and narrow streets puts many people off living there, but those who see that those problems as an advantage tend to be individuals who add quirky touches to their houses. The sheltered conditions also mean that tender plants can give good outdoor displays. Thanks for the link to the donkey video.

I believe Chalford is sometimes likened to a Alpine village. As your splendid video shows, it is a glorious place to clamber around - if you have the energy. On my last visit, fifteen or so years ago, it was the starting point for a very pleasant walk along the Thames & Severn canal towpath to Sapperton Tunnel. Thank you, and best wishes for the New Year.

Another lovely video. It was so enjoyable with the beautiful scenery, historical facts and peaceful background music. I really liked the donkey story. Such a shame that the service was discontinued. But my main one is to improve my photography planning and work flow for my photography channel as I lost focus on my IT channel that I must keep going.
