Hi Courtney. This is a fabulous and surprising video. One thing that you never mention is how incredibly disciplined you are in your craftsmanship. Clips of shoes going into the car, having a go-pro but preferring the tripod, staying focussed when the cat was distracting you. Good photography is not lucky. Your professionalism, discipline and training are evident in all that you do. Bravo ;-)
Another great video 👍👍👍. Congratulations 👍‼️ This ancient region is really amazing. Thank you for all your efforts and interesting explanations of all your beautiful shots 😀. Stay safe 👋.
Lovely place to photograph. Being from the U.S. that place is just how I image an old English village to look like. Well done Victoria! Oh, and one more thing. I enjoy your videos when you dance :)
I hadn't explored our old English villages for quite a few years so it was lovely to take a walk around one. I'm glad you enjoy the dancing haha! I'm sure it'll make an appearance in a video again soon 😁 thanks for watching and have a great Christmas!
There are quite a few of them! I also took a walk around Bibury and Stanton village recently which are lovely locations. I can imagine they're even more picturesque in the warmer months. Thanks for watching, Nathan and have a great Christmas!
@@CourtneyVictoria oh aye! I’ve been to those two (Bibury only once). Stanton is not far from me. It’s so nice there isn’t it? Have you been to Guiting Power and around that area? Thanks loads! Hope you have a super Christmas too! 🙌🏻
I thought Castle Combe looked familiar. My wife and I went to England in October 2015 and stayed a few nights in Bath. On one of the days we took a day long tour of the nearby area including Stonehenge, Avebury --- and Castle Combe. I took a photo almost identical to the 'Portrait' at that bridge with my Nikon D5000. We also visited Manor House and the central square which, we were told, was used in War Horse (2011).
Not sure why it took me so long but just discovered your youtube channel. Great work and I love the use of the word "snap" - reminds me of growing up in Goa and studying under the english system. Have added the Cotswolds to my list - maybe in Sept when I am in London. Have you tried processing some of these lovely snaps in B&W (with Silverex pro)? The absence of color might present these better in black and white.
Cotswold is a lovely area to visit and takin scenic photos. I have been a couple of times and the biggest challenges are the weather and coach loads of tourists turning up at the time as you,...lol
Loved that little town Courtney. I thought that secret lane photo turned out well. Always fun exploring around new places. Would have been funny to see a cat tail hanging out of your camera bag as you walked back to your car at end. Thanks for sharing the trip out 👍🙏
Haha! It was a very friendly cat, not sure I had room for it in the bag but perhaps I should have tried anyway 😂 thanks so much for watching, Adrian. Hope you had a great weekend. 👍
What a quaint village filled with great leading lines and old-world character! I really enjoyed this video Courtney. You had some really great photos. I love the "Castle Combe" portrait photo at 1:26. the composition was really nice with the river flowing out of the frame and the road leading your eyes off into the distance. The "Secret Lane" at 3:08 is also fantastic! Thank you for sharing! Have a Merry Christmas!
We've got quite a few villages like this dotted around the area so I'm pretty excited to go and see the others too! I hope you have a great Christmas, too! Thanks for watching 😊🌲☃️
Thanks for sharing your experience with comments...... great location and images as I love 'old' buildings to photograph.... always interesting & they usually tell a story... keep up the good work... cheers from Australia 😀
Thanks for watching! I've explored a couple of small villages and towns with similar style buildings recently and I'm quite taken with them! Hope all is well your side of the world and have a great Christmas!
I really enjoyed the video Courtney! It is always fun stepping out of your comfort zone. Your photos were fantastic and I think you captured the beauty of the village. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Thank you, Walter! I had a lot of fun exploring this lovely village and despite the weather not being ideal, I'm glad the images came out well. Have a great Christmas too and a happy new year!! ☃️
Hi Courtney.. Hope you don’t mind me asking you this question… I’m currently using Nikon D500 partnered with Nikon 10-24 3.5-4.5 for the ultra-wide shots… The pictures are good as long as the lighting is excellent… Thinking of switching to Nikon 14-24 2.8 for a better all around photos regardless of light… My only concern with 14-24 is its bulbous front element that can’t be protected with any filter (using UV filter for my 10-24)… What say you… My other lenses are Nikon 24-70 & Nikon 70-200 2.8 V2…
Not been to the. It’s wolds in ages I quite like the dull look, summer light is quite harsh on the yellow stone. Great vlog as always have a lovely Christmas
That's true, it was quite a soft light although I probably would have liked a little more interest in the sky. I suppose we can't have it all can we haha. Could be interesting to see what the villages are like late evening. Thank you David and I hope you have a great Christmas too. ☃️🌲
Wonderful exploration and photos. Tell me, do you keep a written journal about these locations you scout? Great video and audio by the way, as always! How long does it take you to create a 7 minute video?
Interesting place not a part of the Cotwolds I have visited. Probably best time of year as I expect it gets very busy. Lower Slaughter is a beautiful village with its iconic water mill ,photographs are spoilt by the No cycling sign put up in a prominent place , easy to remove in photoshop. I had to wait 40 minutes until there was no people in the photo last time I was there. Its been an interesting year following your videos with their varied content. Many thanks have a safe and Happy Christmas.
I've only explored a couple of the Cotswolds villages recently but I can imagine how busy they do get in warmer months. Castle combe has a free car park about a 10 minute walk from the village which was very convenient as usually parking is a bit of a nightmare. I haven't visited Lower Slaughter yet but I've heard it's beautiful. Well, thank you so much for watching the channel throughout the year! Really appreciated. Have a great Christmas too and a happy new year 🎉
Your channel just appeared in my recommended. Subbed. I brought my Z6 here last autumn and I'd definitely recommend you return here in peak autumn. It's stunning.
I like your video and the pictures you made. Also the architecture is amazing there, wow!

These videos are so helpful as an amateur photographer
Another great video 👍👍👍. Congratulations 👍‼️
This ancient region is really amazing.
Thank you for all your efforts and interesting explanations of all your beautiful shots 😀.
Stay safe 👋.
Such a wonderful place, love this video, make more of them please.
Love your work. Wish I was there. We do not have wonderful old buildings in Sandpoint, Idaho. I will keep watching your videos.
Wow, good to watch. Visionery frames. Just loved it.
Thank you! A very beautiful location even in dull weather!
< D750 shooter. Hope your replacement is on the horizon. Castle Combe added to my places to visit. Great work!

That was great! Lovely pics! I haven’t been there yet but got me thinking about other Cotswolds villages to explore haha

You've taken your videos to a new level with this one - you added the one thing that had been missing up to now: a cat!
I do like a good photo walk! The area you are looks gorgeous winter or not. Some nice snaps here Courtney 🤘🏻

THANK YOU for sharing, taking us with you and all the inspiration / motivation !!
Nice location, I love UK and Ireland for photography. I can see this photos on gritty black&white with lots of grain. They would work perfectly.
..... GREAT PHOTO VICTORIA !!!! LIKE !!!
Really enjoyed this one and adding the pov element was a nice touch. The Giant Pine Tree was awesome🖖😁
Have a good one!
Really cool video!
Loved Castle Combe Village, stopped there after a a trip to The The Track, The Manor Gardens are lovely to

Outstanding composition!
I’m just curious about what brand/model is the tripod used at around 2:22?
Love your new friend.

Nice! One question though, why not replace the sky?
❤❤eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey video 👍💐👍
dobře , ale zajímá mě jestli taky používáte hyperfokální vzdálenost ?
Ancient town old beautiful
It is very beautiful! Thank you for joining me and watching 😁
4:10 That's a killer composition :(
Excellent photography! But how do you manage to go to picturesque places where there is not a single soul around to get in your way ?
Cute 😺
Your channel just appeared in my recommended. Subbed. I brought my Z6 here last autumn and I'd definitely recommend you return here in peak autumn. It's stunning.
