not at all what i expected when the riff of the first song started; but, holy shit! Those cleans are so clean! And, the grove to this is so clean, no over use of blaring chugs or bass riffs. All in all you guys have a place amongst progressive metal! Definitely a fan!

Some guy said this needs screaming but to be honest there absence of it,helps reinforce the music. Giving us a chance to hear the instruments for a change. The vocals are perfect not overdone emotional with feeling. I hear this album in my head everyday.
How in the name of all that is progressive goodness did I ever miss this bloody incredible band? The best of the best of the best.
I've been listening to metal or whatever you want to call this for quite some time and all I can say is this is the only band that will give me goosebumps and make me feel great every single time I listen.I can't stress enough how much I appreciate the raw emotion and talent on display here. Yo, this band is sick dude, All the songs like express passion. I love listening to a band because to see how the singer and the melodies mesh, and there aren't a lot of bands that do that. You guys are amazing.

I love how this album switches moods (and almost genres) in a heartbeat, comes right back, and you never feel like you lost anything from the sound. Good stuff.

This album is one of the best ones, you cannot find this energy anywhere else, it is a different energy, I've been listening to this album since it came out and I always get to notice some new details. Keep up and give the new album already! haha

The whole band is refreshing, aren't they? Specifying vocals, I'm surprised at how far the lead singer has come as well - gotta say, Adam, didn't expect your voice to get so damn good. Keep up the good work, cuz - and the rest of the kickass band that I have yet to meet

I troll youtube in the endless adventure of trying to find new music, so far I've come across bands such as Corelia, Art By Numbers, Closure In Moscow, Karnivool, ERRA, Tesseract and now I can add Aviations to this list. If anyone has any bands to add to this list PLEASE do so

People keep saying djent's not a genre, but it's as good as at this point. There is a trademark "djent" riffage style, playing style and production style, and it can all be traced back to people hearing some Meshuggah and thinking "oh hey that's pretty cool, we want to do that too." These guys are doing something that is way beyond simple djent but I can still hear and feel those last few lingering remnants of the Meshuggah worship. Cool album anyway though
It's really hard to be original these days. It can be tough not to play those "generic" breakdowns. A breakdown is just supposed to be syncopated heavy deliciousness. Everyone knows that. So we should be expecting it. I love it guys. And it's more original than some people are saying. :)

Hahaha I lost it at "reminds me of the clan". But good on you for trying to get into it, I see that it is the screaming that turns you off a bit though. Knowing this, the bands Periphery and The Safety Fire may be good for you to check out. They do have some screams but the vocalists in both bands are really talented and have amazing clean vocals, and the instrument work is impressive.
By the way, the singer to Oceano, one of the most intense metal screamers, is black ;D

I already knew some of these bands, but I checked out Plini and its pretty good thanks for setting me in the right direction, I really like instrumental stuff but vocals can be refreshing too. Id say also check out Polyphia, its somewhat reminiscent of Intervals, also AIHVHIA is pretty interesting. Not amazing, but different.

One riff similar to periphery haha I have never heard a band in this genre like this, why do people always go around saying someone is copying someone else just shut the hell up and listen to the music. There was a time when ppl just said hey that sounds like "insert band" now accusing someone of copying someone else just fuckin disrespectful
